Robert Humphrey
Robert J. Humphrey, 79, of Cambridge, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2001) at Cambridge Health Care Center.
He was born Oct 31, 1921, in Cambridge, a son of the late John W. and Kathryne (Johnston) Humphrey.
He was the owner/operator of the former Cambridge Motor and Storage Ford Lincoln/Mercury dealership; a Protestant by faith; an Air Force 2nd Lieutenant in World War II; member of the Elks Club in Cambridge; Guernsey County 4-H adviser for the horse club. He enjoyed buying and selling trading guns. He was a 1939 graduate of Cambridge High School and a 1943 graduate of Ohio University.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bob Addy.
He leaves his wife, Berniece Cash Humphrey of Cambridge whom he married March 10, 1945; two daughters, Patricia Ann Humphrey of Lake George, N.Y., and Salley Jean Humphrey of Cambridge; and a sister, Gene Addy of Cambridge.
Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, where services will be 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike White officiating.
Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.

Robert 'Bob' Burkholder
Robert "Bob" Burkholder, 75, died Monday (Dec.10, 2001).
Mr. Burkholder was a lifelong student and teacher of baseball.
Following graduation from The Ohio State University, where he was awarded three letters, he coached at Jackson and Urbana high schools from 1955 to 1965
Mr. Burkholder was the head baseball and baseball coach at Muskingum College and served as an assistant baseball coach at OSU from 1965 to 1976. During that time, the Buckeyes won or shared two Big Ten titles, and twice finished second in the conference.
He leaves his wife, Jean Anne; sons, Jeffrey and Scott (Denise); grandchildren, Bradley, Abigail and Olivia; sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Helen) Brooks and Mrs. Roy (Mary) Gilliom; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. today at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High St., Columbus, with the Rev. William Leety officiating.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Chiles Funeral Home, Bluffton.
Burial will be in Bluffton Reformed Mennonite Cemetery, Bluffton.

Ralph E. 'Shorty' Hackley services
Graveside services and burial will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Center Cemetery, Cambridge, for Ralph E. “Shorty” Hackley, 82, of Cambridge, who died Friday (Dec. 7, 2001) at St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va.
Evangelist Flavil Miller will officiate.

Miriam Evans
COLUMBUS – Miriam Evans, 84, of Dublin, formerly of Upper Arlington, died Monday (Dec. 10, 2001) at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Roy Gregg and Jenny (Gregg) Speicher.
Mrs. Evans retired from Highlights for Children, after 20 years of service.
She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She leaves her husband of 55 years, Raymond M. Evans; three sons, Roy R. (Kathleen) Evans of Troy, Larry R. (Joy) Evans of Aurora and Tim E. Evans (Patricia Ahlstrom) of Tipp City; seven grandchildren, Mark (Ronda), Michael (Diane), Robert, Ryan, Laura, Jamie and Matthew; three great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Parker and Connor.
Friends may call from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, Columbus, where services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday with Dr. Frank Luchsinger officiating.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, for C. Clayton Belcher, 81, of Cambridge, who died Thursday (Feb. 7, 2002) at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
