William H. Whitaker
William H. Whitaker, 78 of died on Saturday, July 23, 2005, at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following complications from an auto accident in April.
Mr. Whitaker was born on February 17, 1927, in Lorain, OH and lived here all his life. He was a US Army veteran and member of the Hungarian Reformed Church.
He retired from Thew Shovel when it disbanded with 33 years service and started work at All Service Rental Center. He worked with the customer's and helped maintain and repair the rental equipment. He retired from All Service in 1989 after 12 years service.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, He also enjoyed trains, fishing, cooking, watching westerns, and baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians. He was a CB radio enthusiast known as "B W." He was a former member of the Black River Lodge F & AM # 786 with 50 years continuos membership.
Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife Eleanor R (nee Sakal) Whitaker to whom he was married on November 19, 1955, daughters, Kimberly A. Edwards, Roberta L. Smith, and Rebecca M. Whitaker all of Lorain, 4 granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, sisters Margaret P. Biro, Amanda E. Horinek both of Lorain, and brother Charles Whitaker of Savannah, GA.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles William and Harriet Eleanor (nee Ferner) Whitaker and his brother Harry Whitaker.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Concluding prayers will be at 8:15 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2005, at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Right Rev. Dr. Zoltan D. Szucs, Bishop Emeritus of the Hungarian Reformed Church, officiating.
William H. Whitaker will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.

Robert R. Busler
Robert R. "Bobbie" Busler, 56 of North Ridgeville, Ohio died on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at his home following a sudden illness.
Mr. Busler was born on April 28, 1948, in Cleveland, OH and has lived in North Ridgeville for the last 20 years. He was a retired machine operator for General Motors-Parma Plant.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the F & AM Lodge 725 in Avon Lake and the North Ridgeville Auxiliary Police.
Mr. Busler enjoyed hunting and computering.
He is survived by a sons Bradley R. Busler of North Ridgeville, Robert R. Busler, Jr of Lakeland, FL, daughter Tabitha Kennedy of Parma, OH, brother David Busler of Cleveland, sisters Marie Sobchik of Wooster, Rita Large of Creston and Betty Harmon of Rankin County, Mississippi.
Mr. Busler was preceded in death by his parents Roy I. and Nellie L. (nee Beaver) Busler, a brother Daniel Busler in Jan 2005 and a sister Charlsie Cerny.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 10:00 am in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio. Burial will be in the Masonic Section of Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Betty Jean Knitter
Betty Jean Knitter, 77 (nee Klaue) of Lorain, OH formerly of Sheffield Lake, OH died Tuesday afternoon October 11, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mrs. Knitter was born on July 24, 1928 in Berea, OH and lived in this area for the last 76 years. She began her working career with Ohio Edison. She then began working at Bay View Hospital and then moved to St. John West Shore Hospital. She retired in 1969 from the accounts receivable department after 20 years of service.
She was a member of the Sheffield Lake United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Helen Steiner Rice Foundation. She enjoyed crocheting and collecting both Hummel Figurines and Seraphim Angel Figurines.
Mrs. Knitter is survived by her husband Richard E. Knitter to whom she was married on Nov. 27, 1952, one daughter Lynette Moore also of Sheffield Lake, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and one brother John Klaue of Tavares, FL.
She was preceded in death by two infant children, parents Walter and Charlotte M. (nee Cowie) Klaue and a twin brother that died at birth.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 on Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9. At 8:30 pm prayer services by Rev. William Hainstock, pastor of the Sheffield Lake United Church Of Christ.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 14, 2005 by Rev. Philip Kunz, interim pastor of the St. John's United Church Of Christ in Lorain.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Sheffield Lake United Church Of Christ, 603 Sunset Ave., Sheffield Lake, Ohio 44054 or New Life Hospice, c/o Community Heath Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.

Dale A. Wilker
Dale A. Wilker, 83 of Lorain, Ohio died early Friday morning, December 16, 2005 at his home following a 2 year illness.
Mr. Wilker was born in Lorain on March 31, 1922 and lived here all his life. He graduated in Jan of 1940 from Lorain High School and then attended Ohio University for two years.
Her was a US Navy Veteran serving during WW II. He retired on April 1, 1987 as the sales administrator for The Crucible Steel Casting Co. He had 26 years service.
Mr. Wilker was a member of the F & AM Stonington Lodge # 503 in Amherst and The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451 in Lorain. He attended First United Methodist Church, now known as Cornerstone United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son Dale Allan Wilker of White Plains, NY, daughter Lisa Wilker of Charlotte, NC, twin daughters Carla Kowalski of Lakewood and Paula Karish of Lorain, his ex-wife Sally Ferraro-Wilker and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father Albert Wilker and his mother Mary (nee Stough) Wilker Emmerson.
A graveside memorial service will be on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the Elmwood Cemetery with full military honors provided by a joint honor guard of the American Legion Post # 30 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451 .
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to World War II Memorial Fund, American Battle Monuments Commission, ATTN: GR048, P.O. Box 96074, Washington, DC 20090-6074.

Regena K. Carter
Regena K. Carter, 57 (nee Salisbury) of Lorain died on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hosp. & Surgical Ctr-W in Lorain, OH following a long illness.
Mrs. Carter was born on January 27, 1948 in Pikeville, KY and has lived in Lorain for the last 42 years. She had been a nurses aide at both Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain and Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon.
She attended Grace Baptist Church. She loved playing bingo, cooking and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband Jerry R. Carter Sr., to whom she was married on Aug. 8, 1970, her daughter, Rebecka Carpenter of Lorain, sons Jerry R. Carter Jr., Steven Carter, Leonard Carter, Christopher Carter all of Lorain, Raymond Carter, Terry Carter both of Louisville, KY and 22 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters Sheila Salisbury, Joann Cruz, Janet Salisbury all of Lorain, Sharon Thacker of Pikeville, KY, brother Harold Salisbury of Lorain and many neices and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Nina Boyd in 1997 her parents Walter and Mary (nee Roberts) Salisbury, brotyhers Tommy and Randell Salisbury and sisters Teresa Otero and Kimberly Salisbury.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 from 11:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm.
Regena K. Carter will be buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain, OH.

John I. Konnerth Jr.
John I. Konnerth Jr. 79, of Lorain, Ohio died on Sunday, August 14, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hosp. & Surgical Ctr-W in Lorain, OH, following an unexpectedly.
He was born on November 12, 1925 in Lorain, OH living here all of his life. He was a 1944 graduate of Lorain High School.
Mr. Konnerth was a veteran of the United States Navy, Submarine Division in the Pacific Fleet, aboard the USS Ronquil, during World War II.
He was a plumber with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union #42 in Norwalk, OH. He was a 52 year member of the union. He retired in 1980.
Mr. Konnerth was a life member of the Lorain Elks, B.P.O.E. #1301, life member of Mullin-Murray V.F.W. Post 451, F. & AM Lorain Masonic Temple, Black River Lodge #786, Lorain County Scottish Rite, Lorain County Shrine Club, Lake Erie Consistory Valley of Cleveland and Al Koran Shrine.
He enjoyed golfing, boating and traveling extensively.
He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Glowacki of Vermilion, OH and Barbara Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA, and brother Kyle Konnerth of Daytona Beach, FL. 2 Grandchildren.
Mr. Konnerth is preceded in death by his wife Jeanne (nee Filbert) Konnerth in December 8th 2001, parents John I. and Iola D. (nee Taylor) Konnerth Sr., and brother Robert Konnerth.
There will be no services or visitation.

Lee W. Ziegler
Lee W. Ziegler, 87 of Lorain died on Saturday, June 18, 2005, at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following an extended illness.
Mr. Ziegler was born on November 29, 1917, in Rochester, OH and has lived in Lorain since 1958. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1935.
He was a US Army veteran serving during W.W.II. He received the European African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with three bronze stars. He was involved in the invasion of Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland. He also received the Good Conduct Medal.
He was retired from the FAA as a security officer. He owned and operated the Dairy Isle Ice Cream stand on 21st Street from 1962-1972. He enjoyed farming, gardening and tree trimming.
Mr. Ziegler is survived by his wife Edna M. (nee Lytle) Ziegler to whom he was married on Nov 4, 1958, stepdaughters, Carroll A. Albright of San Diego, CA, Shauna Mihalic of Amherst, stepson, Patrick Wilt of Lorain, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters Thelma Carlson of Rockport, IL, Eva Gariss of Wellington, brothers Dale Ziegler, Glen Ziegler both of Wellington and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents William H. and Elva M. (nee Haning) Ziegler, brothers Carl Ziegler, Lyle Ziegler, Merle Ziegler and an infant sister.
Graveside services will be held on June 22, 2005, at 10:00 am at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst, OH, with his nephew the Reverend Merle Ziegler officiating.
Lee W. Ziegler will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Marion G. Coleman
Marion G. Coleman (nee West) 84, of Lorain, Ohio died on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Amherst Manor Nursing Home in Amherst, OH, following a long illness.
Mrs. Coleman was born on January 10, 1921, in Lorain, OH, living here most of her life. She graduated from Lorain High School. She was a member of the former First United Methodist Church, now known as Cornerstone United Methodist Church, and a member of Lakeland Women's Club.
She had been employed in the credit department of Ted Jacob's Clothing Store for several years before its closing. She was most recently a home maker.
Mrs. Coleman was an avid golfer; golfing in several leagues.
Mrs. Coleman is survived by her daughter, Cathy Miller of Lorain, 2 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jay W. Coleman in 1985, daughter Kaye Janka in 1971, and her parents Frances and Ruth (nee Grundy) West.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals 1124 West 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Friday, July 15, 2005, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am with the funeral service following at 11:30 am, with Rev. Dale Warrick pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association, 1689 East 115th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
