Margaret R. Kammeyer

Margaret R. Kammeyer, 58, of Gromley St., Fostoria, died 9:35 p.m. Tuesday at Toledo Hospital.

She was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Fostoria, to Franklin and Virginia (Wilhelm) Snyder. She first married Richard Blackburn and they were divorced. She then married Bradley Kammeyer on Dec. 17, 1984, in Fostoria. He survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are: two daughters Sheri and Elizabeth Blackburn, both of Fostoria; step-father, Robert Appel of Fostoria; two brothers, Michael Appel of Columbus and David Appel of Fostoria; two sisters, Gail Reinhard and Ruth Ann Appel, both of Fostoria and a grandchild.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Lloyd W. 'Lefty' Kizer

Lloyd W. "Lefty" Kizer, 92, formerly of 111 Washington St., Bettsville, died at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in the Bethesda Care Center, Fremont, where he had resided for two and a half years.

He was born Sept. 30, 1910, in Bettsville, to the late James W. and Sara (Weaver) Kizer. On Nov. 13, 1935, in Old Fort, he married Opal Marie Little. She died July 14, 1993.

Surviving are a son, Ralph (Betty) Kizer of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Karen) Foreman of Fremont; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Kizer II of Tiffin and Ross Kizer; and a sister, Sharon Wenner, also of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by a son, Philip Gordon Kizer; two brothers, Robert Kizer and Floyd Kizer (twin); and three sisters, Lela Blume, Florence Heck and Annabelle Kizer.

Mr. Kizer, a 1931 graduate of Bettsville High School, and a lifetime Bettsville resident, retired as a group foreman from Basic Inc. An avid golfer, he attended Bettsville United Methodist Church and was a charter member of Basic Inc. Quarter Century Club and member of Bettsville American Legion. He played baseball for the Basic Inc. team from 1930-1940. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, in the Engle Funeral Home of Bettsville, with the Rev. Martha Gross officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery, Tiffin, with military graveside services conducted by the Bettsville American Legion.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday in the Engle Funeral Home, Bettsville, where the Basic Quarter Century Club will meet at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Willis E. Baldosser

Willis E. Baldosser, age 86, of 8102 E. TR 138, Republic, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 27, 2002, at the Seneca House in Tiffin.

He was born July 12, 1916, in Republic, to Lewis and Mae (Hopple) Baldosser. He married Aura Hershiser on Dec. 26, 1942, and she died in 1957. He later married Ruth (Lutz) Ziegler on May 3, 1958 and she died July 7, 2000.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas (Carlene) Baldosser of Sun Lake, Ariz, Daryl (Marilyn) Baldosser of Republic and Mark (Bonnie) Ziegler of Tiffin; two daughters, Martha Baldosser of Urbana and Mrs. Linda (Spencer) Wall of Perrysburg; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Olan Baldosser of Republic; and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Ola Mae) Detterman of Republic.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Willis Baldosser and a brother, Ralph Baldosser.

Mr. Baldosser was a retired farmer, livestock hauler and former Adams Township maintenance man, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of the Republic United Church of Christ, Seneca County Farm Bureau, Jolly Farmers Farm Council and a former board member of Producers Livestock Board in Bucyrus.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the Republic United Church of Christ with the Rev. Jeff King officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's cemetery near Republic.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church, the Alzheimer's Association or Heartland Hospice.

Bernard 'Ben' F. Miller

Bernard "Ben" F. Miller, 80, of 880 Orr Rd., Sycamore, died at 9:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

He was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Seneca County to Peter and Theresa (Doyon) Miller, and they are deceased. He married Beatrice (Bea) Steinmetz April 24, 1948, and she survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Mr. Timothy and wife Catherine B. Miller of rural route Tiro; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Irene) Burd of Tiffin, Mrs. Gary (Barbara) Haferd of Carey, and Mrs. Jeffrey (Dolores) Hoffman of Galion; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Young of Findlay, Mrs. Anna Mae Benner of Republic, and Mrs. Paul (Letty) Mack of New Riegel.

Those preceding him in death included: a daughter, Mary Miller, who died in infancy; a granddaughter; four brothers; and a sister.

He was a retired farmer and also worked at Timken-Bucyrus for 13 years; was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church-Sycamore, New Riegel American Legion Post 354, and Green Springs VFW Post 6067. He loved woodworking and bird watching.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Sycamore, with the Rev. Frank Murd officiating along with concelebrants the Rev. Richard Dunn and the Rev. Stephan Schroeder. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Tiffin.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, where a Christian Wake Service will be at 8:45 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Vera P. Brookman

Vera P. "Polly" Brookman, 83, of East Fremont Street, Fostoria, died at 2:27 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born Aug. 9, 1919, in Denton, Texas, to James and Ethel (Springfield) Pye. They are deceased. She married Howard Brookman July 2, 1943, in Brownwood, Texas; and he died Oct. 29, 1979.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna J. Elchert and Kathy Pine both of Fostoria; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Weisinger of Seymore, Texas, Verlin Myers of Lancaster, Calif., and Jo Wendell of Temple, Texas.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with burial in Knollcrest Gardens cemetery near Arcadia.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rita M. Smith

Rita M. Smith, 76, of 5551 E. SR 18, Republic, died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in St. Francis Home, Tiffin.

She was born April 2, 1926, in Alvada, to the late Michael and Emma (Hammer) Frankart. On Feb. 7, 1948, in Alvada, she married Victor Smith, who survives.

Other survivors include: five sons, Michael (Mary) Smith and Victor (Jean) Smith Jr., both of Tiffin, Jerry Smith of Phoenix, Ariz. Kevin (Roxanne) Smith of Zionsville, Ind. and Steven (Leslie) Smith of Republic; a daughter, Mary (Daniel) Reimer of Tiffin; 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Frankart of Fostoria; and two sisters, Christina LaFountaine and Corrine (Paul) Williams, both of Fostoria.

A son, Robert Joseph Smith; two brothers, Francis and Alfred Frankart and a sister, Mary Williams, also are deceased.

A homemaker, Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Republic, its Rosary Altar Society and Prayer Group. She also was a member of the Seneca County Farm Women's Club and Senior Citizens of Republic Share and Care.

A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Republic, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka as celebrant. The rosary will be recited at the church at 9:45 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery, Tiffin.

Visitation is 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. A parish wake service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Francis Home or St. Aloysius Catholic Church, in care of Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Charles C. Nye

Charles C. Nye, 86, 60 N. SR 101 Lot 76, Tiffin, formerly of 312 Elm Ave., died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2002, in the Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

He was born May 12, 1916, in Tiffin, to the late Charles C. and Marie (Chatelain) Nye. His wife, Leota F. (Bishop) Nye, whom he married May 31, 1942, in Tiffin, survives.

Survivors also include three children, Gary Nye of Tiffin, Sonja Webb, also of Tiffin and Kenneth Nye of Enosburg Falls, Vt.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a brother Richard Nye of Cleveland, Tenn.

Three brothers, Raymond, Robert and Eldon Nye and two sisters, Marie Runion and Louise Angena, also are deceased.

Mr. Nye, a 1934 graduate of Columbian High School, retired from the National Machinery as a time keeper, after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of National Machinery, Trinity United Church of Christ, Free and Accepted Masons, Tiffin Lodge 77 and Order of Eastern Star, Tiffin 1891.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Laurie Hill officiating. Burial was in Seneca Memory Gardens.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Axel Anthony Stansbery

Axel Anthony Stansbery died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in Toledo to Steven Stansbery and Kara Buskirk of Tiffin.

Other survivors include: maternal grandfather, Duane Buskirk of Fostoria; maternal grandmother, Sherrie Everetts of Tiffin; maternal step-grandfather, Lee Everetts of Tiffin; paternal grandmother, Lisa Hoffman of Tiffin; and paternal step-grandfather, Richard Hoffman of Tiffin.

There will be graveside services at 1:30 p.m. today at the Pleasant Ridge cemetery (Egberts), Tiffin.

The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Frank Alexander, Jr.

The Rev. Frank Alexander, Jr., 77, of 737 Spruce St., Fostoria, died at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born Nov. 19, 1925, in New Orleans to Frank Sr. and Theresa (Veal) Alexander who are both deceased. He married Ethel M. Williams on May 29, 1999, in Bethel Baptist Church in Fostoria and she survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: 13 sons, William, Glynn, Gene, Orlando, Leschia and Bruce Alexander, Terry Mitchell; Harold, Darryl, Frank, Ronald, Sylvester and Charles Price; four daughters, Mildred Freeman, Sherrie Manson, Sheila Rodgers and Verna Draine; numerous grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph and Eugene Alexander of Vallejo, Calif., and Earl Alexander of Kent, Wash.; and three sisters, Yvonne Butler of New Orleans, Rosemary Alexander of San Diego, Calif., and Mary Louise Ricard of Sacramento, Calif.

Two wives, Mildred and Elizabeth Alexander, preceded him in death.

He retired from the U.S. Navy on Feb. 1, 1975, and continued in the Naval Reserves for several years.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Bethel Baptist Church, Fostoria.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Frances A. Miller

Frances A. Miller, 77, of 35 Grace St. died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at her home. Arrangements are pending at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.

Olive Lucille Michaels

Olive Lucille Michaels, 98, formerly of Clinton Ave, Tiffin, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at Seneca House Assisted Living. Visitation and funeral arrangements are pending at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.

O. Lucille Michaels

O. Lucille Michaels, 98, formerly of Clinton Avenue, Tiffin, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Seneca House.

She was born Nov. 18, 1904, in Tiffin, to Edward and Mary (Keins) Crum. She married Leroy W. Michaels Oct. 13, 1929, in Tiffin. He died in 1954.

Surviving are: a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Robert L. (Catherine Alice Michaels) Wise of Panama City, Fla.; a niece, Mrs. Marvin (Roxanna L. Cook) King of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Dana Marie Smith of Panama City, Fla., and Nathan Lee Wise of DeRidder, La.; and two great-grandchildren, Trinity and Cheyenne Smith of Panama City, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Carol Lucille Michaels; a brother, Richard E. Crum, and a sister, Catherine E. Cook.

Mrs. Michaels was a graduate of Columbian High School, Class of 1922, and Heidelberg College, Class of 1926, with a bachelor of arts degree. She was a third grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School for 18 years.

She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma; Ohio Retired Teachers Assoc.; Bethel Social Workers; Tri-Sigma Class; Mothers Study Group; Tiffin Women's Club; Trustee of Fairmont cemetery; Gold Medallion Club of Heidelberg College and Seneca County Historical Society. She was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church.

Funeral will be noon Wednesday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, 94-96 S. Washington St., Suite 100, Tiffin, OH 44883.

Patricia M. Bristley

Patricia M. Bristley, 78, of Port Clinton, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at the Riverview Senior Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor.

She was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Sandusky, to the late George and Elsie (Cogen) Hague. She married Robert L. Bristley June 26, 1957, in Angola, Ind. He died Oct. 2, 2002.

Surviving are: three sons, John Henderson of Port Clinton, Brad Bristley of Fremont and Scott Bristley of Fremont; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Gerner-Wolf-Brossia-Marsh Funeral Home in Port Clinton. Burial will be in Catawba Island cemetery, Port Clinton.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Anna J. Pauley

Anna J. Pauley, 84, of 405 Osborn Ave., Box 34, Sycamore, died 7 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in Eolia, Ky.

She was born Sept. 3, 1918, in Charleston, W.Va., to William R. and Bessie (Ramsey) Stewart. She married Charles E. Pauley July 16, 1934. He died May 16, 1980.

Surviving are: four sons, Charles W. Pauley of Sycamore, Mr. Larry A. Pauley of Lakeland, Fla., Mr. Paul D. Pauley of Eolia, Ky. and Mr. Robert R. Pauley of Sycamore; two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Morgan of rural Sycamore and Mrs. Eugene (Roxanna) Parsons of Eolia, Ky.; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Eugene (Helen) Cunningham of Findlay.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; three sons, Richard L. Pauley, Clarence E. Pauley and Ronald E. Pauley; a grandson; and two` brothers.

Mrs. Pauley was a homemaker and member of Our Masters Chapel in Benton.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore with the Rev. Charles McGlone officiating. Burial will be in Benton cemetery in Crawford County.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Masters Chapel in Benton.
