OTTAWA - Juanita Jean Showman, 79, of Ottawa died 8:30 am Friday, December 03, 2004 at Putnam Acres Care Center in Ottawa. She was born September 30, 1925 in Cygnet to George and Treva (Edwards) Neal. They are deceased. Her step-father:
Arthur Buck is also deceased. On September 25, 1948, she married
Edward Showman and he survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 4 children: Linda (Roger) Ostrom of Portland, Or.; Edward Showman of Columbus; Wallace (Michele) Showman of New York, NY. and John (Mary) Showman of Fairfield; 4 grandchildren; one step-brother: Robert (Mildred) Buck of Mi. She was predeceased by a brother: George “Scott” Neal and a step-brother: James Buck.
Mrs. Showman was a 3rd grade teacher for 17 years at St. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Ottawa. She was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa; Ottawa VFW Auxiliary; D.A.V. auxiliary; a graduate of Bowling Green State University and in Who’s Who in American Teachers.
A funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s cemetery in Findlay. Visitaion will be from 6 to 8 pm on Monday and 2 to 8 pm on Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday and a VFW auxiliary service at 7 pm on Tuesday

Maria Florastella Camareno

OTTAWA - Maria Florastella Camareno, 68, of Ottawa, died 9:45 pm Friday, December 3, 2004 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
Mrs. Camareno was born December 31, 1935 in Pharr, TX to Adan and Juanita (Hernandez) Enriquez, who preceded her in death. On November 1, 1953 she married
Genaro “Shorty” Camareno, who survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include 6 sons, Daniel Camareno, Juan Camareno, and Chris Camareno all of Ottawa, Benito (Corina) Camareno of Leipsic, Freddy (Patricia) Camareno and David (Cynthia) Camareno both of Houston, TX; 2 daughters, Melba (Antonio) Navarro of Leipsic, and Cindy Camareno of Ottawa; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ruben Enriquez and Ismael Enriquez both of Pharr, TX; and 7 sisters, Sofia Flores of Ottawa, Cecilia (William) Laureno of Findlay, Lydia Rodriguez of San Bernardino, CA, Gloria (Justo) Gomez, Isabel (Francisco) Flores, Elva Pesina, and Anna (Telly) Gomez all of Pharr, TX.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Adan Enriquez, Jr. and a granddaughter, Angie Martin.
Flora retired after 25 years from Philips Display Components, Ottawa. She was also a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and friend. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, loved playing bingo, spending time with her grandkids, and had a passion for helping.
A mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Tim Knepper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service a 3 pm and a rosary at 7 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or American Cancer Assoc.
SCHROEDER, DELORES

LEIPSIC – Dolores M. Schroeder, R.N.C., 48, of Leipsic, died 3:06 pm Friday, December 3, 2004 in Hancock County. Dolores was born April 19, 1956 in Lima to Paul and Clara (Koch) Nadler. They survive in Miller City. On December 3, 1976 she married
Don C. Schroeder who survives in Leipsic.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Isaac Schroeder of Columbus, and Jacob Schroeder, at home; 4 daughters, Renee Schroeder of Dayton, Rachel (Ben) Valis of Baldwinsville, NY, Brittany Schroeder and Jessica Schroeder both at home; a brother, Gary Nadler of Leipsic; and 2 sisters, Judy (Carlos) Toscano of Katy, TX, and Nancy (Jim) Reynolds of Orlando, FL.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Schroeder.
Dolores worked at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima where she shared her love of caring for others as a Registered Nurse in the Transitional Care Unit. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic and its Rosary Altar Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia; a 1974 graduate of Miller City High School; a 1977 graduate of Parkview Hospital School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne, IN; member of Mothers of Multiples; and Wordwide Marriage Encounter; most of all a loving wife, mother, and daughter.
A mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday and 2 to 8 pm Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with a rosary by the Altar Rosary Society and CL of C at 7:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations be made to the Schroeder Family Educational Fund.
John H. Ritz

HAMLER - John H. Ritz, 82, of Hamler died 9:30 AM Monday, December, 6, 2004 at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Hamler.
Mr. Ritz was born December 10, 1921 in Henry County to John and Anna (Cook) Ritz. On September 15, 1946 he married
Annabelle Lazenby and she died December 11, 1966.
He is survived by four sons; Jerald (Pat) Ritz of Burlington, Iowa; Johney (Angie) Ritz of Hamler, Ohio; Steven (Peg) Ritz of McClure, Ohio; Robert Ritz of New Haven, Indiana; two daughters; Dianna (Gary) Delventhal of Hamler, Ohio; Cheryl (Roger) Arbogast of Anderson, South Carolina. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Arnold Ritz and two granddaughters.
Mr. Ritz was a retired farmer, member of Hamler Zion Church of God, WWII Army Veteran, member of Hamler American Legion Post 262, Ohio Farmer’s Union, and Ohio Farm Bureau, and a 4-H advisor.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, Ohio with Rev. James Tussing officiating. Burial will be at Marion Township cemetery with Military Rites by the Hamler American Legion. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Lung Foundation or Hamler Zion Church of God.
Cox, Charles

OTTAWA - Charles D. Cox, 55, died 8:55 am, March 22, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Cox was born August 31, 1949 in Lima to Donnell and Joanne (Adams) Cox. His father is deceased. His mother, now Joanne Hayes survives in Ottawa. On March 2, 1985 he married
Linda Zeller who survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving is a daughter, Lauren Cox, at home; several nephews; 3 brothers: Daniel (Kathleen) Cox of Toledo, Dean Cox of Pandora, and Randall (Becky) Cox of Bluffton; and a sister Patricia (Jim) Piper of Maumee.
Mr. Cox retired from Ford Motor Co, Lima. He was a member of the Ottawa Eagles, a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran, Life Member of the Ottawa VWF Post 9142 and enjoyed fishing and restoring Oldsmobiles.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ottawa with Fr. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, and 2 to 8 pm Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A service by the Ottawa VFW will be held at 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
CAIN, RUTH F.

LEIPSIC – Ruth F. Cain, 88 of Leipsic, died 1:05 am Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Leipsic Retirement Village. She was born July 30, 1916 in Leipsic to Conrad and Eva (Smith) Meyers and they are deceased. On June 21, 1942, she married
Waldo “Wally” Cain. He died December 28, 1998.
Surviving are three children: Susan (Kenneth) Holko of San Diego, Ca, John Cain and Paul (Nancy) Cain of Leipsic; 6 grandchildren; a brother: Don Meyers of Leipsic. She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Vernon and Leon Meyers and a sister: Jesta Brunk.
Mrs. Cain was a night operator for 20 years with the Community Telephone Co, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Leipsic United Methodist Church; Leipsic American Legion Aux; Friends of the Leipsic Library; a volunteer for years at the Otterbein Retirement Home; a volunteer at Sunbeam pre-school in Leipsic and a founding member of the Leipsic PTA.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday at Leipsic United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Bushong officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Ridge cemetery in Leipsic. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday and 3 to 8 pm Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and from 10 am to 11 am Saturday at the church.
Memorial may be made to Leipsic Library.
CHRISTMAN, JAMES D.

LEIPSIC – James D. Christman, 64, of Leipsic, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at his residence. He was born December 8, 1940 in Hamler, Oh. to Glenn and Frances (Yetter) Christman. They are deceased. On May 4, 1963, he married
Kay Bolman and they are divorced.
Survivors include 3 children: Jason Christman of Miami, Fl; Susette (Gary) Lammers of Ottawa and Leann Christman of Savannah, Ga; 2 granddaughters: Kaitlin and Lauren Lammers; a brother: Bob (S. Eloise) Christman of Hamler; 3 sisters: Loretta Early of Lima, Doris (Charles) Ferner of Green Valley, Az and Lila (Lowell) Bass of Ada. He was predeceased by a brother: John Christman.
Mr. Christman worked for Christman Brothers Farm Drainage and also farmed. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the Hamler American Legion post 262, a volunteer for Special Olympics and a former member of New Hope Bethel Church in Leipsic.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, with Rev. Tim Eding officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge cemetery, Leipsic with military rites by the Hamler American Legion. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
Memorial may be made to St. Peter & Paul School Education Fund or Putnam County Hospice.
DAVIDSON, JOHN L.

John L. “Smiley” Davidson, 63, of Lima died 6:24 pm Friday, March 25, 2005 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born August 9, 1941 in Lima to Kenneth and Marian (Roof) Davidson. His father is deceased. His mother survives in Ottawa. He had been married
to Shirley Meyer and she survives in Columbus Grove. His special companion, Diane Cogar died September 2, 2004.
Also surviving are 4 children: Theresa Cirigliano, Nancy Matteson and John D. Davidson all of Phoenix, Az.; Vicki Davidson of Missouri; 2 grandchildren; 1 brother: James Davidson of Ottawa; 2 sisters: Julie (Darrell) Nichols of Columbus Grove and Jane Mershman of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews.
John retired after 30 yrs of service with the U.S. Army as a Master Sargent. He had also
Worked as a breakman with the Nickle Plate Railroad. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church in Lima; a life member of Ottawa VFW post 9142; Ottawa American Legion. He was a platoon Sgt and training NCO with Co.D 983rd Engineer Combat Heavy Equipment. He then transferred to the 416th Engineers and served in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm, Somalia and other countries around the world; he loved boating, fishing and working in his yard. He was an avid model railroader.
A funeral mass will be said at 10:00 am Friday, April 1, 2005 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa with Fr. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be from 9 am untile the time of service Friday at the church.

Homer O. Ruhe, 87, of Ottawa, died 12:30 pm Sunday, February 06, 2005 at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf. He was born September 5, 1916 in Miller City to Theodore and Lucy (Meyer) Ruhe. They are deceased. On February 19, 1949 he married
Josephine Grainger. She died August 10, 2004.
Surviving are 3 children: Dan (Ann) Ruhe of Lima, Sonya (Clifford) Brooks of Cridersville and Beth Murray of Long Beach, Ca.; 3 grandchildren: Lee (Mindy) Brooks of Columbus, Katrina (Phil) Golden of Hammond, In and Heather Ruhe of Atlanta, Ga; 6 great-grandchildren: Weslee, Rachel, Colin and Preston Brooks all of Columbus; Summer and Phil Golden, Jr. both of Hammond, In. He was predeceased by 8 brothers: Victor, Urban, Alvin, James, Joseph, Bernard, John and Herman Ruhe and a sister: Norma Knueve.
Mr. Ruhe retired in 1978 as a distributor for Standard Oil Co. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa; WWII army veteran; member of Ottawa American Legion; Ottawa VFW, Ottawa Eagles, Ottawa Knights of Columbus and Leipsic Fish and Hunt club.
A funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa with Fr. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American and VFW.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where the Ottawa VFW will have a service at 7 pm; Ottawa Eagles at 7:30 pm and Ottawa Knights of Columbus will have a rosary at 7:45 pm.

OTTAWA – Funeral services for Jill Neville Vetoich will begin at 2 pm Friday, December 10, 2004 at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa with Fr. Tim Knepper officiating.
Mrs. Vetoich died 11:31 am, Friday, December 3, 2004 at Lima Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Surviving are a husband, Ted Vetoich of Ottawa; her mother, Frances Neville of Lima; 3 sisters, Kathy (Gary) Acheson of Cairo, Sue (Bill) Vastano of Lima, and Joanne (Carl) Vandenbosch of Beaufort, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Adam Vetoich and a nephew Johnny Watkins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the family.

Mildred D. Coverston, 87, of Leipsic, died 2:30 am Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at Leipsic Retirement Village. She was born July 16, 1918 in Glandorf to Edward and Adelaide (Stechschulte) Drerup. They are deceased. On Dec. 27, 1952, she married
Ralph Coverston and he is deceased.
Surviving include 2 brothers: Clayton (Ruth) Drerup of Ottawa and John (Helen) Drerup of Van Buren; 3 sisters: Marie White, Rosemary Lammers and Rita Wagner all of Ottawa. Sisters-in-Law: Mary Blevens of Lima, Eileen Drerup of Ottawa, Betty Drerup of Seminole, Fl and Jane Wolford of Findlay. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Walter, Elmer, James and Robert Drerup; 3 sisters: Louise Wright, Norma Haley and Dolores Oskey.
Mrs. Coverston retired as owner-operator of Carolina Drapery Workrooms in Charlotte, NC.
A memorial mass will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa with Fr. Tim Knepper officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
