Thelma M. Neuenschwander
(1929 - 2006)

ARCHBOLD - Thelma M. Neuenschwander died Monday evening, April 17, 2006, at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold.
Born Feb. 12, 1929, to Emma (Kline) and Clarence Zimmerman, she married Leslie J. Neuenschwander in 1951, and he preceded her in death in 1985.
Employed at the office of LaChoy Foods, she was also a bill collector for the United Telephone Company.
She was the founding president of the Bobs and Butches C.C.L. Club where she was active from 1959-1981. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts for several years. Also, she was a member of the Fulton County Hospital Auxiliary and an active member of St. John's Church. Surviving are a son, Chris (and wife, Toni) Neuenschwander of Archbold; a son-in-law, Denny LaPorte of Stryker; three grandsons, Dennis (Wren) LaPorte of Hicksville, Jeremy Neuenschwander and Trevor Neuenschwander, both of Archbold; a great-granddaughter, Jillian LaPorte; brothers, Orland Zimmerman, Curt (Velere) Zimmerman, both of Wauseon, and Myrl (Pauline) Zimmerman of Archbold; and sisters-in-law, Helen Zimmerman, Gertrude Mull, both of Wauseon, Joan Neuenschwander of Pettisville and Mrs. Richard (Sue) Colon of Wauseon. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lisa J. (Neuenschwander) LaPorte; a sister, Mildred (Saunders) Waldeck; brothers, Chester 'Chet' Zimmerman, Wilson 'Bill' Zimmerman and Howard Zimmerman; and sisters-in-law, AnnaBelle Zimmerman and Margaret Zimmerman.
Visitation will be held today from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Short Funeral Home, Archbold.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Church with the Rev. Erich Christman to officiate. Burial will be in the Archbold Cemetery.

Karl V. Clemons
(1924 - 2006)

Karl V. Clemons, 81, of Bryan, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan.
Born Nov. 28, 1924, in New Hope, to Winifred (Plummer) and Karl V. Clemons Sr., he married Doris Crawford on April 29, 1950 in Columbus and she survives.
A 1942 graduate of Mt. Orab High School, he graduated from Ohio State University in 1950 with a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture. He later earned a Masters Degree and Professorship in Agricultural Economics.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy, he served his country from 1943-1946. Retired from the OSU Co-Operative Extension Office as an Area Extension Agent, he also worked as a vocational agricultural teacher from 1950-1955 for the West Unity Public Schools.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan; the Mt. Orab Masonic Lodge; the Mt. Orab VFW; OSHURA-OSU Retirees; AAEA-American Agriculture Economics Association; and the Disabled American Veterans.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Karl V. (and wife, Lynda) Clemons of Saratoga, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Julie) Scribner of Bryan and Mrs. Paul (Jennifer) Butler of Okemos, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Clemons.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Burr Funeral Home & Crematory, Bryan.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dwight Bowers to officiate. Burial will follow at the Fountain Grove Cemetery, with graveside military rites provided by the Bryan American Legion.
Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association or an organization of the donor's choice.

Lois C. Bidlack
(1918 - 2006)

DEFIANCE - Lois C. Bidlack, 87, of Defiance, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Harborside Healthcare Center-Defiance.
Born May 6, 1918, IN Continental, to Blanche (Maddock) and David Donaldson, she married Ford S. Bidlack on Sept. 19, 1935, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1992.
A homemaker, she was a member of Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren and the Ladies Auxiliary of the church. She was also a member of the Pollyana Club, Continental.
Surviving are a son, Walter Bidlack of Angola, Ind.; daughters, Kathleen Buell of Stryker, Mrs. Tom (Joan) Traxler of Pioneer and Mrs. Michael (Pam)  Johnson of Defiance; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ora, Larry and Darwin Bidlack; a daughter, Janet Bidlack; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Bodenbender; and brothers Clarence and Aaron Donaldson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. in the Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. John Mummert to officiate. Burial will be in North Mount Zion Cemetery, Putnam County.
Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice Caring Way Building Fund.

Wayne Coy Figgins
(1919 - 2006)

Wayne Coy Figgins, 86, of Bryan, died Saturday evening, April 15, 2006, at the Inn at Fountain Park, Bryan.
Born Dec. 8, 1919, in Williams County, to Florence (Coy) and Clifford D. Figgins, he married Margaret L. Coil and she preceded him in death in 1994.
A 1937 graduate of Stryker High School, he was later employed as a lithographer at the Ohio Art Company in Bryan for 48 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1945.
A member of Wesley United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2233 in Bryan, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 2489 and the Bryan Moose Lodge No. 1061.
Surviving are a son, Ronald (and wife, Becky) Figgins of Hicksville; daughters, Mrs. Norman (Diane) Hicks of Tamarack, Fla. and Mrs. Michael (Darlene) Clark of Bryan; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Lowell Figgins of Bryan; and a special friend, Bobbie Trippy of Bryan.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Shawn Figgins; a stepgreat-grandson; two sisters, Berneda Pardee and Eugenia Ankney; and a brother, Robert Figgins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home-Bryan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dwight Bowers to officiate. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery with graveside military rites being presented by the Bryan VFW.
Memorials may be made to the Bryan Senior Center or the American Diabetes. Association.

Sheila Ann Bostater
(1957 - 2006)

CENTERBURG - Sheila Ann Bostater, 49, of Centerburg and formerly of Fulton, died Friday evening, April 14, 2006, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Born Feb. 2, 1957, in Montpelier, she was the daughter of Olive (Darnell) and Harry Bostater.
She had worked for New Hope Industries in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are two brothers, Michael Bostater and Stan Bostater, both of Edgerton; four sisters, Olga Santos of Bryan, Marie Douglas of Spicewood, Texas, Sharon Blevins of Sherwood and Brenda Wheeler of Montpelier; an uncle, Roy Barrett of Cambridge, England; several nieces and nephews; and her friends and caregivers from the Canterbury Villa Group Home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Canterbury Villa Group Home in Centerburg. Arrangements are in care of the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead.

Virginia "Ginny" Ruth Dean
(1909 - 2006)

HAMILTON, Ind. - Virginia "Ginny" Ruth Dean, 96, died early Sunday morning, April 16, 2006, at the Lakeland Nursing Home in Angola, Ind.
Born Oct. 15, 1909, at Auburn, to Florence (Fretz) and Earl A. Graham, she married Howard F. Dean and he preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2002.
The owner of Lakeview Flowers in Hamilton from the 1950s-1970s, she attended the Hamilton Church of Christ and Angola Church of Christ.
Surviving are her sons, Gene Dean of Powell, Ohio and Joseph Dean of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Mrs. Randy (Kathy) Ehrman of Angola, Allen (and wife, Shelly) Dean of Bryan, Ohio, Mike (Marsha) Dean of Greensboro, Ga., Tony (Carol) Dean of Bryan, Ohio and Patrick, Scott and Jody Dean, all of Arcola; four great-grandchildren, Troy (Dawn) Schwartzengraber of Angola, Chris Schwartzengraber of Angola, Sara Dean of Cleveland, Ohio and Rachel Dean of Powell, Ohio; and two great-great-granddaughters, Megan and Janna Schwartzengraber of Angola.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Raymond, John, William, Robert and James Graham; and two sisters, Helen Bloom and Fairy Graham.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home & Crematory of Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. John Stevenson to officiate. Burial will follow in Eddy Cemetery near Hamilton.
Memorials may be made to the Lake James Christian Assembly.
