Eleanor E. Fisher
Died: Sunday, October 26, 2003
Age: 80
PAYNE — Eleanor E. Fisher, 80, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at Dallas Lamb Foundation Home, Payne.
She was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Payne, the daughter of the late Warren and Martha (Grieger) Howard. On Dec. 25, 1943, she married Rolland H. Fisher, who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1983.
Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker.
Survivors include:
Sons — Clarence Fisher of Duncannon, Pa., and Cecil Johnson of Harrisburg, Pa.
Seven grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale, Dennis and John Howard, and one sister, Almeda Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, the Rev. Jack Berry officiating. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Gene C. Myers
Died: Sunday, October 26, 2003
Age: 74
WILLSHIRE — Gene C. Myers, 74, of Willshire died at 8:54 p.m. Sunday, Oct., 26, 2003, at Adams County Memorial Hospital shortly after arrival.
He was born Dec. 31, 1928, in Adams County, the son of the late Herman and Frances P. (Colter) Myers. On Dec. 16, 1950, he married Phyllis K. Hamrick, who survives in Willshire.
Mr. Myers, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the
Korean War, retired in 1989 from General Electric Company after 39 1/2 years of service.
Other survivors include:
Daughters — Kimberly S. (Kevin) Seward of Mt. Gilead and Angela K. (David Jr.) Rothgeb of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Brothers — James R. Myers of Lima and John W. Myers of Willshire
Sister — Patricia A. Myers of Berne, Ind.
Four grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Ind., the Rev. Sandy Hildebrand officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and an hour prior to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Lula M. Miller
Died: Sunday, October 26, 2003
Age: 93
DELPHOS — Lula "Lou" M. Miller, 93, of Delphos died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at Sarah Jane Living Center.
She was born Sept. 23, 1910, in Putnam County, the daughter of the late Frank O. and Hulda (Sheeks) Betts. On Oct. 8, 1930, she married David H. Miller, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker.
Survivors include:
Daughters — Ruth (Ralph) Granger of Sidney and A. Earlene (Joseph) Hoehn of Olmsted Falls
Seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Harold and Francis "Tom" Betts, one sister, Hazel Burger, and a grandson, Rick Granger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Delphos, the Rev. William P. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Ottawa River Cemetery, Rimer.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos, and an hour prior to service time Thursday at the church.
Marie Elizabeth McGahan
Died: Saturday, October 25, 2003
Age: 52
PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — Marie Elizabeth McGahan, 52, died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 4, 1951, in Johnson County, Ky., the daughter of the late Joseph E. "Joe" and Norma Elizabeth Long McGahan.
Ms. McGahan was disabled.
Survivors include:
Sister — Marcella (Eugene) Haunhorst of Paintsville
One nephew, Ralph Haunhorst, also survives in Paintsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos, Mark McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grover Hill.
Calling hours are 5-9 p.m. today at Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville, and 11 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos.
Walter Davidson
Died: Saturday, October 25, 2003
Age: 92
ELIDA — Walter "Pat" Davidson, 92, of Elida died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at Roselawn Manor.
He was born April 4, 1911, in Allen County, the son of the late Frank Emmerson and Ida Loreen (Boyer) Davidson. On June 16, 1942, he married Leoda Davidson, who preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2003.
Mr. Davidson farmed and retired from the Ford Engine Plant.
Survivors include:
Son — Gary (Laura) Davidson of Lima
Daughter — Delores "Dee" (Bob) Lee of Delphos
Sisters — Gladys Ray of Arizona and Kathryn Patten of California
Brother — Harold Davidson of California
Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Creation Lutheran Church, Elida, with the Rev. Don Leckrone officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
