ROUSH Leonard C. Roush Jr., 56, of Columbus, Ohio, died April 3, 2001 at the Veterans Medical Hospital in Cincinnati, Oh. Life time occupation as an automobile repairman. United States Vietnam Army veteran. Member of VFW Post #495. Favorite past times: NASCAR, hunting, fishing, hiking, and hunting arrowheads. He will be sadly missed and greatly remembered. Preceded in death by parents Leonard Carl Roush Sr. and Artinca Ica Roush; grandson Jacob C. Roush. Survived by sons, Ray Carl Roush and Valerie Springhetti of Pickerington, Leonard C. (Tami A.) Roush III of Ashville, Carl L. and Jonathon C. Roush, both of Columbus; daughters, Christine R. (Forrest Dale)  Jackson of Montgomery, Ala., Stephanie S. Roush of Lockbourne; grandchildren, Shane C. Roush, Danielle D. Roush, Crystal N. Roush, Carolann N. Roush and Caleb L. Roush; sisters, Ruby (Ray) Swinehart, Carolyn Deeds, all of Columbus; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Memorial service 2:30 p.m. Friday at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St. Rev. G.A. Haubrich officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service.

RUNYAN Larry B. Runyan, age 60, of Miamisburg, Oh., passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Grandview Hospital. He was an employee of ABF Freight Systems for 25 years. Preceded in death by his parents Abner and Nathalia Bradley Runyan. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn (Domoslay) Runyan; son, Larry Jr. of Circleville, Oh.; daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Ann and Greg Fitch of Reynoldsburg, Oh., Rebecca Sue and Ken Merrill of Holton, ME., Roberta Lyn Carter and Jeff Collins of Thornport, Oh.; brother, Martindale Runyan of Dayton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Weldon Cheatham of Miamisburg, Bonnie and John Petticrew of Kirkersville, Oh.; loving aunt, Pauline Skaggs; step-father, Louie Thomas of Alexandria, Oh.; 14 grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2001 at 8 p.m. at the Henderson-VanAtta-Johnston Funeral Home, Kirkersville, Oh. with visitation 2 hours prior to service. Rev. Robert Knox officiating. Graveside service will be held on Saturday 1 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Proctorville, Oh. with Rev. Eddie Salmons officiating. Additional visitation hours will be held on Thursday April 5, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at the GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE FUNERAL HOME, 508 E. Linden Ave., Miamisburg, Oh.

SEVERANCE Clarence C. "Jake" Severance, age 86, Wednesday, Whitehall Manor. Preceded in death by wife Juanita; son Donald; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by daughters, Dorothy (Wilbur) Wigginton of Columbus and Marilyn Davis of Phoenix, Ariz.; sons, Robert Severance of Columbus and Richard (Kelly) Severance of Hilliard; daughter-in-law, Betty Severance of Columbus; grandchildren, Mike Wigginton, Michele Conway, Mark Wigginton, James Severance, Jacqulyn Severance, Stacey Severance, Donald Severance Jr., Tracy Johnson, Trisha Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., where service will be Saturday 10 a.m. Rev. Toby Cambron officiating. SHILLING Ira D. Shilling, age 53, of Columbus, died April 3, 2001 at her residence. Arrangements pending at the PORTER-QUALLS FUNERAL HOME, INC., SPRINGFIELD CHAPEL.

SPENCER Irene Wilma Spencer, age 87, of 104 E. Nelson St., Tavares, Fla., died Monday, April 2, 2001. Homemaker. Born in Cannonville, Oh. and moved to Fla. in 1980. Protestant by faith. Survived by son, Richard Spencer of Tavares, Fla.; daughters, Patricia Fowler and Barbara Webb, both of Columbus, Oh.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. SWARTZ Constance M. (Connie) Swartz, of Upper Arlington, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at home. Past member of the Saturday Afternoon Music Club. Attended St. Mary of the Springs College for Women, The Ohio State University and Franklin University. Associated with Tag Sales with Style for 14-years. Member St. Agatha Catholic Church. WIFE, MOTHER, HOMEMAKER and BEST FRIEND. Preceded in death by her father Angelo "A.J." Pardi. Survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 54 years, Charles W.; children, Ellen and Thomas Weilbacher, Charles III and Margaret Swartz, Jeffrey and Sandra Swartz, Stephen Swartz, John and Donna Swartz, Constance Mary Swartz II, Julie and Scott McDonald, Andrew and Debra Swartz; grandchildren, Heather Weilbacher, Amy and Paul Norris, Tommy Weilbacher and Anne Weilbacher, MaryEllen Swartz and fiancé, James Luebbers, Christine Swartz, Charles Swartz IV, Rocky Swartz and Jack Swartz, Melissa (Matt) Moore, Jeffrey Swartz II, Molly Swartz, John T. TAYLOR Donald Glen Taylor, 82, of Chester, Va., died April 3, 2001 in Chippenham Medical Center. Mr.  Taylor was born in Waynesburg, Oh., a son of the late Charles V. and Rena Gibler Taylor. He was a World War II veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army Marching Band and Orchestra and was a retired tool and die maker from General Motors Corp plant in Columbus, Oh. A loving father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years Ruth Alice  Taylor and is survived by 5 children, Don S.  Taylor of Kenner, La., Rebecca L. Skirbunt and Martha L. Johnson, both of Chester, Deborah A. Wise of Lexington, Oh., Christine L. Jenkins of Dothan, Ala., Mark V.  Taylor of Chester; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 7 in the Chester Chapel of J.T. MORRISS & SON FUNERAL HOME. The interment will be private.

VIOLET John Ashley Violet, 91, of South Point, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2001 at home. Born August 1, 1909 in Norfolk, Va., John was a son of the late Sherman E. and Clio Shoene Violet. John was a graduate of Ohio University and retired from Westinghouse in Columbus, Oh. He was also preceded in death by his wife Vera Mae Hawk Violet; four siblings; and a son-in-law Dr. Charles Proctor Crowe. Survivors include one daughter, V. Monnette Crowe and granddaughter, Maralyn Kline; great-granddaughters, Katherine and Rebecca Kline, all of South Point, Oh.; granddaughter, Lisa and her husband, Russell Kessler; great-grandsons, Drew and Braden Kessler of Lancaster, Oh.; and special family friend, Roberta Ferguson of Chesapeake, Oh. A private memorial service is to be held at a later time. HALL FUNERAL HOME, 625 St. Rt. 775, Proctorville, Oh., is in charge of arrangements.

WEAVER Robert E. Weaver, age 83, of Upper Arlington, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Kobacker House. Funeral arrangements are pending at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road.

WEBER Gary P. Weber, 50, of Dublin, died unexpectedly on April 2, 2001. Husband of 25 years to Laurie; father to Gary R. and Steven George. Vice President of CIT Group. Member of the Emmaus Group, a committee member of the Worthington United Methodist Church Boy Scout Troop 365 and a member of the Scioto Touchdown Club. His Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2001 at Linworth United Methodist Church, 7070 Bent Tree Blvd., Columbus. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Worthington United Methodist Church Boy Scout Troop 365, 600 High St., Worthington, Oh. 43085 or the American Heart Association, P.O. 182039, Department 013, Columbus, Oh. 43218-2039. WELSH Evelyn Ann Welsh, age 83, April 3, 2001. Preceded in death by husband Francis (Rusty) Welsh, parents Clifford and Ruby Dilsaver. Survived by sister-in-law, Mary Hosey; special cousins, Annabel Ervin and Richard Dilsavor and their families; nieces, nephews and other cousins. Member North Broadway United Methodist Church and Rose Capital Chapter, American Business Womens Association. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. High St., (3 blocks south of Henderson Rd.), where service will be held Friday 10 a.m. Rev. Edwin E. BARTHOLIC Sally L. Bartholic, age 55, of Columbus, died on Sunday, April 1, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Former employee of the Children's Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband Robert P. Bartholic, parents Thurman G. and Mildred Davis Thomas and sister Nancy Peterson. Survived by her daughter, Stacy Bartholic; sisters, Joyce (Don) Dalebout, Wash., and Ellen (Daryl) Brubaker, Oh.; brother, William (Glenda) Thomas, Oh.; relatives and many friends. Private services were conducted for the family by Schoedinger East Chapel.

BORROR Faye G. Borror, age 98, formerly of Grove City, passed away April 3, 2001 at The Village of Westerville Nursing Center. Preceded in death by parents I.N. and Anna (Linebaugh) Borror and cousin Betty Walters. Survived by cousins, Harriet (Darrell) Saunders of Grove City, Ruth Linebaugh of Columbus, Marjorie (Jack) McMannin of Findley and Grace Linebaugh of N.Y. Visitation Friday 3-5 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, where funeral will be Saturday 10 a.m. Pastor Ken Kirk officiating. Interment Concord Cemetery. CORBETT Joseph John Corbett, age 80, of Columbus, Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at his residence. U.S. Army veteran. Retired from General Motors Corp. Preceded in death by son Bill Corbett, granddaughter Caitlin Corbett. Survived by loving wife of 51 years, Audrey; children, Dave (Linda) Corbett, John (Linda Jude) Corbett; daughter-in-law, Nene Corbett; grandchildren, Joe, Debbie, Amy, Cathy Corbett; great-granddaughter, Isabella; nieces and nephews. Survived by son, Timothy (Joan), Grove City; daughter, Linda (Roger) Corbin, Columbus; grandchildren, Rick, Rhawn, Corbin, Renee Buchanan, Erin Siemer, Kevin, Christopher Curry; great-grandchildren, Rachael Corbin, Riley Corbin and Collin Siemer; sister, Kathleen Weidinger, Washington C.H.
