Anna B. Smith
Anna B. Smith, 87, of Great Mills, Md., and formerly of Shawnee, died Monday in Great Mills.

She was born May 5, 1915, in Shawnee to James Mont and Maggie Lee (Brewster) Staten.

She grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School.

She was a homemaker.

She married Lloyd Wayne Smith, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1992.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Shawnee.

She moved to St. Mary's County in Maryland in 2001.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and sisters, Alma Ledford, Harley Bouse, Velma Graham, Clara Coors, Shady Staten and Burnace Staten.

Survivors include a son, Clair Wayne Smith of Midlothian, Va.; sisters, Agnes Young of Shawnee and Norma Abbott of Chatau, Minn.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sam Hendry officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. today.

The family has designated the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund as appropriate for memorials.

Services are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.

Henry A. Bush
Henry Albert Bush, 88, of Shawnee died Wednesday in a local nursing home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with Red Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Servcies are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Kenneth Keith James
Kenneth Keith James, 81, Wildomar, Calif., formerly of Prague, died Monday at his home.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Roxie James, Cerritos, Calif.; daughters, Rosalyn Clinkenbeard, Chandler, and Sharron Maurice, Blythe, Calif.; sisters, Laverne Collins, Aurora, Colo.,Doris Burget, Edmond, and Charlsie Weston, Midwest City; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the White Dove Cemetery, Sparks, with the Rev. Charles Pearcy of Meeker Assembly of God Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Danny John Cooper Jr.
Danny John Cooper Jr., 39, Edmond, died Thursday in Edmond.

He was born Nov. 17, 1962, in Farmington, N.M., to Danny John Cooper Sr. and Gwen Nell (Carrington) McLin. He was reared in North Dakota and Wyoming, moving to Oklahoma in 1982. He had lived in Edmond the past 12 years.

He owned and operated American Asbestos in Oklahoma City. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edmond.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Don and Evelyn Carrington and J.H. and Marie Cooper, and an uncle, Bill Cooper.

Surviving are his son, Kayden Cooper, Edmond; two daughters, Caress Cooper and Ashley Cooper, both of Edmond; father and stepmother, Danny Sr. and Donna Cooper, Bethel; mother and stepfather, Gwen and Leonard McLin, Tecumseh; sister, Tammy Thompson, Shawnee; stepsister, Jennifer Sebastian of Bethel; stepbrothers, Bart McLin of Lexington and Randy McLin of Anadarko; special friend, Christi Grimm of Yukon; nieces and nephews, Sarah Hawk, Jessica and Jacob Thompson; and former spouse, Andrea Eubanks.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Shawnee with the Rev. Maurus Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Lela M. Mullendore
Lela M. Mullendore, 84, Tecumseh, died Wednesday at her home.

She was born Oct. 17, 1917, in Warwick to Harry Judd and Hattie (Cypert) Judd. She grew up and attended school around Warwick and Carney.

She was married to the Rev. W.E. Mullendore on Oct. 17, 1932, in Chandler. They remained married for 66 years.

She was a member of the Lakeside Freewill Baptist Church and was a longtime member of The Range Riders Roundup Club in the South Rock Creek area. She had lived near Pink since 1978 and also lived 14 years in the Earlsboro area.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her stepparents; two brothers; one sister; a grandson, Ricky Joe Mullendore; a granddaughter, Kerrie Lynn Mullendore; and sister-in-law, Mary Judd.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth R. and Bonnie Mullendore of Mustang and Noah Lee and Mary Mullendore, Bethel; daughter and son-in-law, Anna Mae and George Wainscott, Midwest City; nine grandchildren, Walter Lee Mullendore, Kenneth R. Mullendore, Brenda Marie Austin, William E. Mullendore, Diana Cochran, Jamie Wilmoth, Lela Robison, Lee Edward Mullendore and Brian Mullendore; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Clifford Judd, Meeker, and Paul and Charlene Judd, Vancouver, Wash.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Alene and Pug Few, Fort Worth, Texas.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Delbert Akins officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Shawnee.

Donald Gene Reed
Donald Gene Reed, 62, died Wednesday.

He was born Dec. 12, 1939, in Prague to Norman M. and Mildred (Gunter) Reed. He graduated from Centerview High School and served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963.

He worked as a driver for Bunte Candy Co., Red Carpet Charters and Western Gillette, from which he retired.

He married Betty Littleton on April 7, 1965, in Shawnee.

He was a member of Teamsters Local No. 886, competed in truck driving competitions and maintained a pristine safety record. He was a regular driver for the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band and the Sooner football team, delivering them to many games, including the 2000 championship in Florida.

His parents, Norman and Mildred, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Betty, of the home; one brother, Harold Reed and wife Martella; sisters, Pat Ambler and husband Al, and Kay Ogden, all of Prague; a son, Marc Reed of Ft. Collins, Colo.; three daughters, Tina Adair and husband Robert, Paula Reed of Oklahoma City and LaDonna Elliston and husband Phil of Moore; seven grandchildren, Mat, Hope, Dawn, Alyssa, Makayla, Rachel and Joshua; six step-grandchildren; and numerous family and close friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Moore. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuaries.

Donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.

Douglas Stephen "Steve" Fleetwood
Douglas Stephen "Steve" Fleetwood, 60, McLoud, died Wednesday in Midwest City.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Fleetwood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip Jay and Staci Fleetwood of Post, Texas, and Gregory Allen and Selena Fleetwood, Brownsville, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie LaVon and Michael Wilson, McLoud; three sisters, Pat Davidson and Lucille Davidson of Commanche and Ecile Loveday of Duncan; two brothers, Floyd Fleetwood of Duncan and Orville Fleetwood of Conroe, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the McLoud Baptist Church. Burial follows at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service in Harrah.

Vicki Lu (Neill) Strayhorn
Vicki Lu (Neill) Strayhorn, 45, Tecumseh, died Friday at her home.

Survivors include her father, Homer Neill, Seminole; her husband, Ricky Lynn Strayhorn, Tecumseh; son, Cody Lynn Strayhorn, and daughter, Tori Leigh Strayhorn, both of the home.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home with the Rev. David Karges officiating. Burial follows in Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Homer "Gene" Glover
Homer "Gene" Glover, 77, Seminole, died Friday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Vi Glover, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Gene and Mary Glover, Edmond; and daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Dave Swanda, Newalla.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Kelvin Moseley officiating. Burial follows in Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Ethel Florene Murrell
Oklahoma City resident Ethel Florene Murrell, 90, died Saturday, Feb. 12.

She was born Oct. 10, 1914, in Shawnee to John and Emma (Cantrell) Couch.

She lived in Shawnee and attended Calvary Baptist Church until 1959 when she moved to Oklahoma City.

She worked in retail sales and retired from TG&Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Frank Couch; and sister Esther Sullivan.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Murrell of Oklahoma City; son, Donald and wife Judy of Centerville, Ga.; granddaughter, Donita Loman of Wewoka; and great-granddaughter.

Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Tecumseh Cemetery with the Rev. W.F. Crow officiating.

Caskets Inc. in Del City is directing arrangements.

Jack Eugene Conger
Jack Eugene Conger, 72, Earlsboro, died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Lu Ella Conger of the home; two sons, James Conger, Oklahoma City, and David Conger, Seminole; a daughter, Pam Gann of Oklahoma City; brothers, Floyd Conger of Wewoka and Thurman Conger of Seminole; sister, Velena Sawyer, Wewoka; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
