Ronald William Gillette

Funeral services for Ronald William Gillette, 64, Meridian, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Guthrie with Cowley-Krien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

A private family burial was held.

Born July 15, 1940 in Neodesha, Kan. to Nathan Lawrence and Mary Jane Lour Gillette, he died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur.

Mr. Gillette went to school in Enid and Douglas.

After graduation, he went to work in construction in Enid.

He moved to Meridian in 1990 where he lived the remainder of his life.

He enjoyed nature, hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by three sons, Tony Gillette, Greenville, Texas, Steven Dale Gillette, Moore and Phillip Allen Gillette, Oklahoma City; one daughter, Angela Christine Michaelson, Moore; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother, Don Gillette, Meridian; one brother-in-law, Stanley Capps, Arkansas City, Kan. and one sister, Rita Prochaska, Arkansas City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and one sister, Barbara Capps.

Maudine F. McKoy

Funeral services for Maudine F. McKoy, 78, Westminster, Colo. will be held at Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church chapel in Ada with Rev. George Warren officiating.

Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born December 6, 1925 in Velma-Alma to Pat D. Inscore and Grace Peddycort Inscore, she died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004 at Louisville, Colo.

She married Clifton D. McKoy on January 20, 1946 at Duncan.

She was a teacher and member of the Broomfield United Methodist Church.

She taught school in Fox, worked as an administrative assistant and supported her husband in church ministry in the Oklahoma Methodist Conference, serving in Ratliff City, Ryan, Pawhuska, Perry, Tulsa and the Methodist Boy's Ranch in Gore.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, George and Carolyn McKoy, Broomfield, Colo.; a sister-in-law, George Ann Ables, Ada; three nieces, Marjorie Calahan and Angela Ables, both of Oklahoma City and Cindy Brady, Ada; two grandnieces and four grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Patricia K. Fallin.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Boy's Ranch, P.O. Box 999, Gore, OK 74435.

Larry Duane Smith

Funeral services for Larry Duane Smith, 61, Jones, were held at 2:00 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home chapel in Davis with Rev. James Densman officiating.

Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born May 27, 1943 in San Diego, Calif. to George Thomas Smith and Jessie Louise Sims Smith, he died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at Jones.

He had lived in Ohio before moving to Davis where he graduated from high school.

After graduation he lived in Shawnee, Oklahoma City and the Jones areas.

He is survived by three sisters and their husbands, Karen and Gene Reed, Shawnee, Linda and Jerry Meyer, Okmulgee and Shari and Craig Morgan, Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, Gale and Jody Smith, Lee's Summit, Mo. and Jeff and Peggy Leger, Oklahoma City; his stepfather, Albert Leger and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Leger and a sister, Pam Goddard.

Family members served as pallbearers.

Jack David Bearden

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 3 in Spencer for Jack David Bearden, 62, Harrah.

Interment was in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Spencer.

Born November 30, 1942 in Sulphur to Stanley and Gearldine Seigler, he died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004 in Harrah.

He was a 1960 graduate of Sulphur High School and spent 10 years in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma, of the home; four daughters, Devonia and Rochell Bearden, of the home; Lisa Jordan, Edmond and Coleen Edgeman, Dade City, Fla.; four granddaughters, Corinna and Riley Ferguson, Edmond and Kaitlyn and Emily Edgeman, Dade City, Fla; four sisters, Ann Chandler, Van Buren, Ark., Diane Stewart, Oklahoma City and Tena Cain and Jessie Seigler, both of Sulphur and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Faye Moore, Oklahoma City and one great nephew, Derec Chandler, Van Buren, Ark. and his grandparents.

John Alden McDonald

Memorial services for John Alden McDonald, 64, St Marys, Ga., were held Saturday, Nov. 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Allison Memorial Chapel with Richard Jackson officiating.

Masonic Lodge members of Camden County assisted in the Flag presentation.

Allison Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

He died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004 at his residence.

A native of Lawton, he had lived in Camden County, Georgia for the past five years and was a retired welder and pipefitter.

He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 19 years of service and a Viet Nam veteran.

He was a Shriner and member of the masonic F&AM Lake Como Lodge and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, St. Marys, Ga., three sons, Lindell McDonald, Gene Autry, David McDonald, Atlantic Beach, Fla, and Larry Peterson, Elkton, Fla.; two daughters, Darnette (De-De) Milicia, Kingsland, Ga. and Tracey Peterson, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; four sisters, Gladys Cass, Pawhuska, Jessie Clary, Sulphur, Patricia Kipworth, Oklahoma City and Mamie Eddy, Davis; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Deborah L. Nichols Morales

Services for Deborah L. Nichols Morales, 53, Sulphur, were held at the First Baptist Church in Sulphur with Rodney Hobbs, Steve Mayhan and Father Taylor officiating.

Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Cowley-Krien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born August 15, 1951 in Sulphur to Paul and Lavernne Chilcoat Nichols, she died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2005 in Ardmore Veterans Center.

She was raised in Sulphur and graduated from Sulphur High School.

She then moved to Norman and enlisted in the Army, serving in Germany from 1974 to 1977.

Following her service career, she was a special education teacher at Paul's Valley, then moved to Puerto Rico where she met and married her husband, Tomas Morales.

The couple moved to Noble in 1983, then to Edmond in 1988.

She moved to Sulphur in 1997, then back to Norman until 2001 when she came back to Sulphur and lived the remainder of her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Lidia Morales, Norman; her mother, Lavernne Nichols; one sister, Laurie Nichols and her husband, James Wilson, Sulphur.

Pallbearers were Rodney Hobbs, Russell Hobbs, Ryan Hobbs, Gary Mobly, Ron Chilcoat and Nelson Cordero.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Nichols and her husband, Tomas Morales.

Leroy James Pitmon

Services for Leroy James Pitmon, 82, Mill Creek, were held Friday, Jan. 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Holines Church in Mill Creek with Rev. Frank Trent officiating.

Interment was in Mill Creek Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born March 6, 1922 to Richard Pitmon and Gurthal Schiverdecker Pitmon in Sunshine Community, he died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 in Sulphur.

He married Leota Belle Garrison on May 9, 1942 in Sulphur.

She preceded him in death on August 19, 1999.

He had lived in this area all his life. He attended school at Bellwood.

He was a rancher and worked at U.S. Silica until his retirement.

He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army.

He was a member of the VFW and the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mildred Clifton, Mill Creek; three sons, Jackie Pitmon, Davis, James Pitmon, Wynnewood and Michael Pitmon, Mill Creek; a brother, Arvel Pitmon, Mill Creek; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jim Pitmon and a brother, Doyle Pitmon.

Pallbearers were Roger Johnston, Stoney Pitmon, Ray Pitmon, Kevin Pitmon, T.J. Pitmon and Justin Clifton.
