Pearl Graham

Konawa resident Pearl Graham died Sunday in Ada at the age of 89.

She was born in Granite, Okla., on June 6, 1911, the daughter of Ida Lee (Hale) Beddo and Dock Beddo.

Graham worked as a school cook and had lived in Konawa most of her life.

On Sept. 12, 1925, she and Grady Franklin Graham were married in Konawa.

Preceding her in death were her husband and one son, Warren Graham.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Graham on Konawa and Grady Graham of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughters, Wanda Brown of Byng and Jean Litteral of Oklahoma City; sister, Pauline Rayborn of Duncan; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pickard Funeral Home Chapel, Konawa, with the Rev. Mitch Williams officiating, assisted by the Rev. Roger Rounsaville. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.

Joseph Ehrle

Joseph "Joe" Ehrle died Sunday in a local hospital. He was 91.

He was born in Belfield, N.D., on Aug. 26, 1909.

Ehrle served two and one half years in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was stationed in Karachi, Pakistan, as a tech sergeant.

Upon leaving the service, Ehrle rejoined Ford Motor Company where he worked for 33 years before his 1971 retirement.

He had lived in Iron Mountain, Mich., and Long Beach, Calif., before moving to Shawnee in 1971.

Survivors include his wife Velma Ehrle of Shawnee; daughters, Shirley King and Sandy Ehrle, both of Shawnee; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Ehrle of Southfork, Colo.; grandson, Jody King of Shawnee; and great-grandson, Vincent King of Claremore.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Matthews and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Estes M. Walker

Meeker resident Estes M. Walker, 87, died Friday at a local hospital.

Walker was born Easter Sunday, April 12, 1914, in Hepstead, Ark., the son of Robert Alphrus and Sallie (Patterson) Walker.

He attended Magnolia A&M in Magnolia, Ark.

On Feb. 10, 1940, he married Frances Jones in Vian, Okla.

He owned and operated a grocery store/gas station in Vian. At the end of World War II, he moved to McLoud and began a 27-year employment as a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base. During his career, he was given an award for Outstanding Duty Performance. He also worked as farmer and raised cattle.

Walker and his wife in Port Isabel, Texas, for 10 years after his retirement. They returned to Meeker 14 years ago.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Eva Atchley and Helen Walker; two brothers, John Walker and Clyde Walker; and two grandchildren, Amy Joseph and Philip Woodard.

Survivors include his wife of Meeker; daughters, Kathryn Baumwart of Oklahoma City; Suzanne Price of Meeker, and Mary Woodard of Meeker; brother, Oval Walker of Gold Beach, Ore.; eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be 8 a.m. to noon today at Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chapel, Meeker.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Morning Star Baptist Church, Meeker with the Rev. Glenn White and the Rev. Neal Baumwart will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in Jacktown. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Memorials may be made to the Morning Star Baptist Church Building Fund.

Neal D. Seikel

Neal D. Seikel of Newalla died Thursday in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was 64.

He was born Nov. 20, 1935, near Dale to Leo V. and Opal (DuBoise) Seikel. Most of his education was in the Dale Schools, although he graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1955.

He married Joyce Bailey on Oct. 9, 1957, in Oklahoma City. He was in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 959 and served one tour of duty in Germany.

Most of his working years were in the Heating and Cooling business. This involved the installation and service of equipment in homes and business.

He was the owner-manager of P. and N. Heating and Cooling Company in Oklahoma City. He retired in 1988 after an industrial accident.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Cindy Seikel and Jeff and Janice Seikel all of Yukon and five grandchildren, Cara, Zach, Jessica, Diana and Victoria Seikel. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Teresa Seikel of Stillwater; Bob and Charlotte Seikel of Shawnee; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; one uncle, Woodrow DuBoise of Meeker and two aunts, Ruby DuBoise of Midwest City and Agnes (Seikel) Jarboe of Fort Smith, Ark.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Dale Cemetery. Paylor Funeral Home, Midwest City, is in charge of the services.

Edward Walton Gibson

Edward Walton Gibson of Shawnee died Thursday in Shawnee. He was 53.

He was born Dec. 12, 1946, in Shawnee. He was retired as a Pottawatomie County Jail supervisor.

Survivors include wife Anita K. Gibson and daughter "Charle" Gibson, both of the home; son Edward Bryant, Nevada; sister Gloria Lenora, Maud.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Hilltop Baptist Church, under the direction of the Demuth Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.

Lorene Francis Eeds

Lorene Francis died Friday in Prague. She was 87.

She was born June 10, 1912, in Tushka. She was the daughter of Ruben and Alice (Clayburn) Turner.

She had been a resident of Prague for five years and formerly of Seminole. She was a homemaker.

She married W.J. "Bill" Eeds on Nov. 26, 1930, in Tecumseh. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1970.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons and one daughter.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, J.C. Eeds, Prague; Tom and Kathy Eeds, Seminole; two daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie and O.R. Dinsmore, Enid; Linda and Sam Smith, Prague; one brother, R.C. Turner, Stillwater; one sister, Ruby Love, Fairfield, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Little Cemetery with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Clarence DeWayne Parrett

Clarence DeWayne Parrett died Thursday in Shawnee after a lengthy illness. He was 54.

He was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Missouri. He was the son of Elbert and Myrna (Petty) Parrett.

Parrett, a welder, was a resident of Earlsboro. Parrett married Lillian (Schexenider) Parrett on Dec. 30, 1982, in Fort Smith, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Parrett of the home; one son, Dewayne; one daughter, Sherry; seven stepchildren, Gail, Nancy, Steven, Patricia and Elizabeth; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Clinton Hewkins, Salem, Mo.; Norma and Jim Smith, Salem, Mo.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffery Glen and Florence Parett, Salem, Mo.; Carl and Kathryn Parrett, Salem, Mo.; Lonnie and Cheryl Parrett, St. Louis, Mo.; Paul and Freida Parrett, Antioch, Tenn.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Prague Cemetery with Bro. Frank Coye officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Kaila Deann Pearce

Kaila Deann Pearce, Tecumseh, was born May 5, 2001, to Lorna and Jacky Pearce. She died the same day at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Survivors include her mother, Lorna Pearce, Tecumseh; father, Jacky Pearce, Eufaula; sister, Kristin Pearce, Tecumseh; grandparents, Coeta and W.R. Branscum, Shawnee, Harold and Linda Holcombe, Tecumseh, and Hoyal and Judy Pearce, Eufaula; great-grandparents, Remeth Ross, Shawnee, Ruby Pearce and Reba Shaver, both of Eufaula; aunts and uncles, Darla and James Oldham, Shawnee, Clemmie and Chuck Gundrum, Tecumseh, Arvella Smith, Shawnee, Johnny Shaver, Eufaula, Ronnie and Cheryl Pearce, Eufaula, Amy Stone, Shawnee, Lee and Kevin Branscum, West Virginia; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Roy and Clemmie Deshields, Edith West, Roland Pearce and Dale Shaver, and cousins, Cody Oldham and Charles Gundrum II.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Tecumseh.

Johnnie H. Anderson

Johnnie H. Anderson, 69, died Sunday at his Shawnee home.

He was born April 21, 1932, in Hugo. He was raised around Spencerville, moving to Shawnee in 1966.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a bricklayer for Austin Construction Co. On Aug. 8, 1967, he married Phyllis Gouker.

Anderson was a member of the VFW and DAV.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; stepsons, Junior McLaughlin and his wife, Helen, of Ninnekha, and Lonnie McLaughlin of Shawnee; daughters, Diane Johnson and Lou Dalkstrand; grandchildren and their spouses, Timmy and Christine McLaughlin of Chickasha; Johnnie McLaughlin of Shawnee; Lloyd and Sally McLaughlin of Shawnee, and Michael McLaughlin of Chickasha, and three great-grandchildren; brother, Coy Niblett, Paris, Texas; sister, Jenny Martin, Florida; and several other relatives.

Services were Tuesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Guy Cagle officiating. Burial was in Gable Cemetery, east of Meeker.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Shawnee.

Rosetta Haslett

Graveside service for Rosetta Haslett are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Little Cemetery. Other information is pending with Watts Funeral Home, Madill.

Johnnie H. Anderson

Johnnie H. Anderson died Sunday at his Shawnee residence. He was 69.

He was born April 21, 1932, in Hugo. He was reared around Spencerville, Okla., and moved to Shawnee in 1966.

He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a bricklayer for Austin Construction Co.

On Aug. 8, 1967, he married Phyllis Gouker.

Anderson was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife of the home; stepsons and stepdaughter-in-law, Junior and Helen McLaughlin of Ninnekha, Okla., and Lonnie McLaughlin of Shawnee; daughters, Diane Johnson and Lou Dalkstrand; grandchildren and their spouses, Timmy and Christine McLaughlin of Chickasha, Johnnie McLaughlin of Shawnee, Lloyd and Sally McLaughlin of Shawnee and Michael McLaughlin of Chickasha; and three great-grandchildren.
