Naomi Ruth (Harrell) Green

Oklahoma City resident Naomi Ruth (Harrell) Green died Sunday. She was 82.

She was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Alton, Mo., to Rufus and Elizabeth Harrell.

She married Lloyd D. Green of Shawnee Dec. 24, 1938.

Mrs. Green was a member of Calvary Temple, Edmond.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol Sue Wells, Oklahoma City, Sybil Faye Hopkins, Edmond, Connie Marie Grubb, Oklahoma City, and Reba Jane Rottman, Bethany; grandchildren, Ronda Howerton, Terry Moser, Les Wells, John Hopkins, Lindsay Bouchard, Kimberly Arnn, Cimarron Grubb and Jeremy Hammons; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, on Feb. 12, 1994; two brothers, Tom and Alfred Harrell; and one sister, Ruby Sanders.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Temple, 1801 S. Kelley Ave., Edmond, with Pastor T. Dale Drain officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City under the direction of Baggerly Funeral Home, Edmond.

Jesse James Norman

Jesse James Norman of Seminole died Friday in Ada. He was 84.

He was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Halfway, Mo., to Roma T. and Julia Ann (Wade) Norman.

He was raised in Justice, Okla., and graduated from high school in Spalding, Okla. He served in CCC Program, farmed at Wewoka and Sasakwa and worked in oil fields in Seminole County and Southern California. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Boilermaker Pipefitters and retired in 1980 to Konawa.

He was preceded in death his parents; one son, Billy Lee Norman; one great-grandson, David Ryan Norman; one brother, Johnny Norman; and one sister, Edna Norman Pasley.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Vada (Merriman) Norman, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, James and Marie Norman, Konawa; daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Doyle Wall, Corona, Calif., Carolyn and David Bellini, Kingman, Ariz., and Linda and Bob Monroe, Corona, Calif.; brothers, Thurman Norman, Sasakwa, and R.T. Norman Jr., Davenport; sisters, Alma Cooley, Sasakwa, Florence Morrison, Ozark, Mo., and Willie Akers, Corcoran, Calif.; grandchildren, Dennis and Earline Wall, Dale Wall, Katy Norman, Cynthia and Paul Reeves, David and Denise Norman, Daniel and Alice Bellini, Michael Bellini, Julia Bellini, Scott and Kelly Bellini, Melissa Monroe, Theresa and Arther Perez, and Shelly Norman; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.

Gerald Wayne Skinner

Oklahoma City resident Gerald Wayne Skinner died Saturday in Oklahoma City. He was 49.

He was born May 13, 1950, in Waldon, Ark., to Ray Skinner Jr. and Vivian (Goff) Compton.

He was a construction worker and truck driver as well as a Baptist. He lived in Oklahoma City for 15 years. Prior to that, he lived in California.

Skinner was preceded in death by his father, Ray Skinner, in 1965.

Survivors include his mother, Vivian Compton, Shawnee; stepfather, John Compton, Shawnee; son, Mark Skinner, Tulsa; daughter, Sherry Zackary, McAlester; sister, Brenda Colbert, Tecumseh; brothers, Daniel Compton, Noble, and Paul Compton, Shawnee; two nephews and one niece; eight grandchildren; special friend, Francie Wasvick; three aunts and one uncle; and other relatives and friends.

Private graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery with Doyle Loveland officiating under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Eula G. Hackett

Enid resident Eula G. Hackett died Saturday in Enid. The former Trousdale resident was 95.

She was born Dec. 7, 1904, in Cleburne, Texas, to Benjamin Thomas and Mattie Ann (Russell) Harp.

She married Andy Hackett Sr. Oct. 3, 1924, in Tecumseh. He preceded her in death July 16, 1984.

As a child, she lived in Harrison, Ark., for a few years before moving to the Box community. Following her marriage, she moved to Trousdale, where she lived for 78 years. She resided in Enid for the past eight years.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Wanette Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Pauline Hackett; one sister; five brothers; and one great-grandson.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Inez and Bob Gould, Ada, and Velda and Waylan Rogers, Choctaw; sons and daughters-in-law, Andy Hackett Jr., Wanette, Roy Vernon and Noma Hackett, Oklahoma City, and Herman and Gail Hackett, Enid; sisters-in-law, Ruby Harp, Lexington, and Joyce Harp, Modesto, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel, Tecumseh, with Jim Thorpe and Robert Perry officiating. Burial will be at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh. The family will receive friends 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Carlyle Milican

Shawnee resident Carlyle Milican died Sunday in Shawnee. He was 76.

He was born March 14, 1923.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Other arrangements are pending.

Garland Spicer

Garland Spicer, 76, Shawnee, died Monday in Shawnee.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh. Further information will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Louise (Dibler) Flick

Louise (Dibler) Flick of Meeker died Sunday in Oklahoma City. She was 71.

She was born Nov. 13, 1928, in McLoud to William Dibler and Winnie Elizabeth (Honeycutt) Dibler.

She married A.Z. Flick. She was a wife, mother and homemaker for 45 years.

Mrs. Flick graduated from Meeker High School in 1947. She was a member of Aydelotte Baptist Church for 32 years.

Survivors include her husband, A.Z. Flick, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Sharlet Flick, Meeker; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Louise and Ted Brown, Meeker; grandchildren and granddaughter-in-law, Gary and Rebecca Brown, Chandler, Diana Brown, Meeker, T.J. Flick and Alicia Flick, Meeker; brothers, Elvis Dibler, Oklahoma City, Larry Dibler, Yukon, and Gilbert Dibler, Texas; sisters, Joyce (Dibler) Simon, Tecumseh, and Ethel "Babe" Dibler Duncan, Wellston; special family friends, Buster and Glenda Pickard and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Winnie Dibler; sister, Dessie Tague; and brother, Berry Rodney Dibler.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Aydelotte Baptist Church north of Shawnee with the Rev. Ken May officiating. Burial will be at Gable Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Beatrice Hale

Shawnee resident Beatrice Hale died Monday at a local nursing home. She was 90.

She was born Feb. 10, 1909, in Washington, Ind., to Elmer Russell and Elizabeth (Bacon) Russell.

She married Roy F. Hale July 2, 1929, in Shawnee.

Mrs. Hale was a graduate of Shawnee High School. She retired as a clerk with Montgomery Wards of Shawnee with about 25 years of service.

She lived in Shawnee for about 73 years. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Shawnee for more than 70 years.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Buster and Gladys Hale, Shawnee; granddaughter and her husband, Susan and Jack Lowe, Shawnee; two great-granddaughters, Lisa Lowe, Stillwater, and Leslie Lowe, Norman; sister, Cassie Lathrop, Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Laverle Russell, Shawnee; and two nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Hale; and two brothers, Joe Russell and H.M. Russell.

Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kay Smith officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Shawnee.

Wanda Wells Lell

Norman resident Wanda Wells Lell died Saturday in Norman. She was 71.

She was born July 20, 1928, in Stonewall, Okla., to William Braxton and Sadie Leona (Tarwarter) Flick.

She married Wilburn Wells April 19, 1944, in Tecumseh. He preceded her in death March 31, 1989. She later married Buzz Lell.

She was raised in Pauls Valley and Maud. She moved to Tecumseh in 1942 and resided in Norman since 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Tecumseh.

Mrs. Lell was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Indianola "Jako" Flick, William "Bill" Flick, and Sherman Burton; and one sister, Dorothy Flick.

Survivors include her husband, Buzz Lell, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Clifford Wayne and Terri Wells, Dale, Dewey Allen Wells and Stanley Gene Wells, both of Tecumseh; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jewell and Bill Nabors, Tecumseh, and Dean and Harold Watson, Tecumseh; brother, A.Z. Flick, Meeker; grandchildren, Michelle R. Street, Clayton Wayne Wells, Douglas Wayne Wells, Shelby Cheyenne Wells, Nikki Wells and Amy Wells; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church, Shawnee, with the Rev. Ron Baldridge officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Georjia Lee Walker

Tecumseh resident Georjia Lee "Hop" Walker died Monday in Oklahoma City. She was 46.

She was born Aug. 14, 1953, in Shawnee to George E. and Ramalee (Tinker) Johnson.

She married Donald Walker Jan. 30, 1997, in Oklahoma City.

She was raised in Tecumseh and California. She attended schools in Apple Valley, Calif., and Maud. She lived in Apple Valley, Calif., for nine years.

She was a cook and operated a day care center for the past five years.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Danny Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Walker, of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Raylene Johnson, Midwest City, and Mardee and James York, Midwest City; son, Jason Moody, Midwest City; father and stepmother, G.E. and Sandy Johnson, Tecumseh; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shayla Nowell, Hill City, Kan., Kris and Tom Cartwright, Tecumseh, and Tommie Jo and George House, Bartow, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Travis and Mary Johnson, Shawnee, and Clay Johnson, California; two grandsons, Reagan Lee Johnson and Landin Keith York; and a number of aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Tecumseh Cemetery with Ronnie Churchwell officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

J.T. Jones

Maud resident J.T. Jones died Sunday in Norman. He was 81.

He was born June 11, 1918, in Macomb to Robert C. Jones and Tula (Phillips) Jones.

He married Naomi Aleta Lytle March 12, 1942, in Maud.

He was a diesel mechanic for Haliburton. After his retirement, he worked several years as a tool and die marker for Runge Co. in Seminole. He returned to the Maud area from Midland, Texas, after his 1972 retirement.

Jones served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Maud, and an Oklahoma member of the Oddfellow Lodge.

Survivors include his daughters, Linda Waldrop, Norman, and Sandy Madden, Norman; one granddaughter, Traci Atchison, Norman; and sister, Sybil Donnell, Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and his wife, Naomi A. Jones on March 13, 1985.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole with the Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating under the direction of Knight Funeral Home, Maud.
