MYRA E. FLACK
GROVE - Myra Estelle Flack, 83, died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at Grove Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. A private family service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Flack was born on September 16, 1917 in New Hartford, Connecticut to Henry and Anna Dietz. She married James Flack on July 2, 1976 in Arleta, Calif. Mrs. Flack worked for Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, Calif. for 371/2 years before retiring in 1976. She was one of the original "Rosie The Riveters" during WWII and worked on the B-52 bomber. She was so small that she was assigned to work inside the airplane wings. Mrs. Flack was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Orange, Calif. and The Women of the Moose. Mr. and Mrs. Flack moved to the Grove area in 1998 from Bullhead City, Ariz.
She is survived by her husband James of Monkey Island, Okla., a son, Reginald Bagley of Orange, Calif., two brothers, John Dietz of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Allen Dietz of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and a sister, Anna Townsend of Willow Springs, Missouri.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove.

HAZEL MARIE FLOCK
MIAMI, Okla. - Mrs. Hazel Marie Flock, age 79, formerly of Miami, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2001 in Toccoa, Ga., following a brief illness. Mrs. Flock, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Edwards) Wimer, was born on October 11, 1921 in Strang, Okla.
Funeral services for Mrs. Flock were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 13, in the Otterbein United Methodist Church, northwest of Langley, with Reverend Eugene Kay officiating. Interment followed in the Old Military Cemetery, northeast of Pensacola, with friends and family serving as casket bearers. Funeral service arrangements were under the care of Garner's Jim Green Funeral Home, Pryor.
Hazel was born and raised in the Strang, Pryor and Mayes County area. She was a graduate of Pryor High School in 1938. As a young lady she married Gene Mayor of Pryor. Together they owned and operated Mayor Auto Supply and Hardware in Miami for over 15 years. In 1954 she moved to California where she began a new career in real estate that spanned over 30 years in California and Colorado. In 1955 she married Claude B. Flock at her brother's home in Kirkland, Wash. Following retirement the couple moved back to Miami 20 years ago. Due to her health she moved four years ago to Toccoa, Ga., to live with her daughter. Hazel was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Miami, where she enjoyed attending Sunday services. A professional business lady in her livelihood and personal life, Hazel enjoyed entertaining, decorating, reading novels and collecting unusual antiques, her flower gardens and indoor plants, especially violets and gardenias, and the holiday season each year.
Mrs. Flock is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Adam Jones, Tuccoa, Ga.; grandchildren, Alan and Karla Guleserian, Baltimore, Md., Jeff and Dana Guleserian, Fort Worth, Texas, Jill and John Gray, Orange, Calif., and Adam Jones, Athens, Ga.; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Connelly, Tulsa, Okla., and Sue Johnson, Los Angeles, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, four brothers and a sister.

TIMOTHY FORD
AFTON, Okla.- Timothy Ford of Monkey Island died Sunday May 13, 2001 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. He was 53.
Mr. Ford was born January 16, 1948 to Thomas Wayne and Cleora Fisk Ford at Tulsa, Okla. He has lived in the area since 1992, moving from Jenks, Okla. He served three years in the United States Army. Mr. Ford was presently working in the golf course maintenance dept. at Shangri-la. He married Sharon Kay Smith Ford August 29, 1971 at Pawhuska, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of the home; one son, Tomas Wayne Ford, of the home; three daughters, Shellie Pickens of Tulsa, Tammy Smith of Afton, and Shelly Woods of Ramona, Okla., and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Ralston Cemetery on Monkey Island. Rev. Kim Hayes to officiate. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

RALPH FOREMAN
EL DORADO, Kan. - Ralph Foreman, 79, of Grove, and a former El Dorado, Kan. resident, died Saturday, June 2, at his home in Grove. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado.
He was born September 15, 1921 at Gordon, Kan., the son of Charles and Hazel Byerly Forman. He lived in El Dorado for 40 years, working as a Gang Pusher for Cities Service Oil Company for 37 years. He had lived in Grove since August of last year. During World War II, he served in the Air Force. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, Moose Lodge, Patmos Masonic Lodge #97, A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite and Butler County Shrine Club. On December 25, 1943, he married Lois Marchel.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Marchel, of the home; son, Jerry Foreman, Gravette, Ark.; a daughter, Judy Ball, Marietta, Ga.; sister, Beatrice Hoch, Lincoln, Kan.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother, who helped raise him and two brothers.
Memorials in his memory for Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital may be sent to Carlson Funeral Home, 200 S. Star, El Dorado, KS, who are in charge of the arrangements.

TONY 'WYLIE' FOREMAN
COLCORD, Okla. - Tony "Wylie" Foreman, 56, died Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. The son of Jack Foreman and Ruby Potter Foreman, he was born October 10, 1945 in Delaware County, Okla. Wylie was a life long resident of Delaware County and was a self employed laborer.
Survivors include: his wife, Sandra Sixkiller Foreman; eight children, Lucinda Sixkiller, Colcord, Tony Foreman, Jason Foreman, Megan Foreman, of the home, and Lisa Foreman, Toni Foreman, Deen Foreman Krista Foreman, all of Arkansas; two brothers, Marvin Foreman, Colcord, and Jackie Foreman, Jay, Okla; four sisters, Norma Asher, Colcord, Reta Rutherford, Southwest City, Mo., Francis Tyson, Siloam Springs, and Bernice Foreman, Colcord, Okla., and several grandchildren.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26, at the Old Clouds Creek Baptist Church, Jay, Okla. with the Rev. John Snell officiating. Burial was in the Clouds Creek Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

CHESTER FOREST
COPAN, Okla. - Funeral services for Chester Forrest, 73 of Copan, Okla., were held Friday, June 8, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jones-Wilson-Cunningham Funeral Home Chapel in Locust Grove. Burial followed in the Rose Cemetery in Rose, Okla. The Rev. Jimmie Bell and Rev. Kurt Foreman officiated. Services under the direction of Jones-Wilson-Cunningham Funeral Home of Locust Grove.
Chester was born March 18, 1928 in rural Cherokee County, Okla. and died June 5, 2001 at his residence in Copan, Okla. He was the son of Louie and Myrtle (Graham) Forrest. He grew up and attended school in the Rocky Ford area. After finishing school, he and Christena Foreman were married in Wagoner, Okla. on May 30, 1947. They moved to California for a time, and in 1951 he and his family settled in Copan, Okla., where they made their home all these years. Chester worked for the Dewey Portland Cement Co. for some 20 years. After retiring from there, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. When not working, he enjoyed playing guitar and singing all kinds of music. He liked to garden and took great pride in his tomatoes. He also raised horses. Chester kept his mind alert by playing games and loved when he would win.
He is survived by his companion, Lorene Cloud, of Copan, Okla.; one step-son, Dr. J.W. Coonfield of Vinita, Okla.; two brothers, Red Forrest and wife, Nancy, of Twin Oaks, Okla., and Booley Forrest and wife, Lisa, of Tahlequah, Okla.; three sisters, Faye Hays and husband, James, of Tahlequah, Okla., Earlene Russell and husband, Houston, of Tulsa, Okla., and Wilma DeGraff Colorado Springs, Colo.; one uncle, Ernest Forrest, of Locust Grove, Okla.; one daughter-in-law, Vicki Forrest of Copan, Okla.; two grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. His parents, his wife, Christena, one son, Wendall, one stepson, Walter, and two brothers, Arnold and Euell, preceded him in death.

IRA NORMAN FOSTER
VINITA, Okla. - Ira Norman Foster, 75-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Norman was born October 4, 1925 in Rose, to Ira and Mary (Phillips) Foster. He served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. Norman moved to the Vinita area in 1940 from Locust Grove. He operated the Deep Rock Service Station and the ACME Cab Stand. He worked as a barber at Eastern State Hospital for 16 years, and also operated a used furniture business. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God.
Norman was united in marriage to Thelma Carver on April 23, 1970 in Miami.
Surviving are: wife, Thelma Carver, of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth Foster of Guthrie, Mary McClain of Lanagan, Mo., and Sonja Kenmore and husband, Billy, of Vinita; three sons, Larry Foster and wife, Doris, of Pryor, Ronnie Foster and wife, Vicki, of Salina, and James Foster and wife, Tammy, of Grove; 13 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 23, at the First Pentecostal Church of God. Rev. Alvie Cunningham officiated. Interment was in the Phillips Family Cemetery in Westville.
Services were under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home.

JOHNIE S. FOSTER
AFTON, Okla. - Johnie S. Foster, Afton, died Sunday, July 23, 2001 at Hillcrest Specialty Hospital in Tulsa after a lengthy illness. He was 68. He was born May 30, 1933 at Berryville, Ark., to Alfred and Irene Tackett Foster.
He was a veteran, having served with the US Army in Korea. He last worked as custodian at First Christian Church in Miami. He moved to Afton in 2000 from Plano, Texas, where he enjoyed working with his wife, caring for the elderly. He was a handyman with a unique talent to do just what was needed (welding, mechanic, painter, plumber, etc.)
He had a love for the elderly and used his talents as a ministry to help them. He was a member of the American Legion in Miami and a member of First Christian Church of Afton. He married Juanita A. Chandler at Miami on August 18, 1957.
Surviving are: his wife, of the home; his stepmother, Virginia Birchfield, of Eureka Springs, Ark.; a son, Johnie W. and wife, Pam Foster, of Miami; a daughter, Anita and husband, Brian Halsey, of Crandell, Texas; five brothers, Noel, Willie, and Archie Foster, of Huntsville, Ark., Kenneth Foster of Lemore, Idaho, and Chester Foster of Weippe, Idaho; a half-brother, Danny Foster, of Wichita, Kan.; a half-sister, Ruth Ann Drake, of Huntsville, Ark.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Spradling, and a grandson, Keith Morrison.
The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at First Christian Church of Afton, with Minister Lee Williams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Miller, Richard Bassett, Kevin Chandler, Chris Merce, Andy Lee Hitlon, Tim Chandler, and Jerry Wayne Chandler.
Burial will follow at Sixkiller Cemetery with the Grove Veterans Ritual Team performing military rites. Visitation will be from 7 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, at First Christian Church of Afton. The body will lie in state at Adcock Funeral Home of Afton until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Doug Hanson Fund in care of the Adcock Funeral Home. Arrangements provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Afton.

R.N. (BOB) FRANKLIN
VINITA, Okla. - R. N. (Bob) Franklin, 84, passed away Friday, November 2, 2001 at Craig General Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Franklin was a lifelong resident of Craig County, having been born at the farm settled by his family in 1872. He resided there 83 of his 84 years. He was born to Fred and Eva (Lionberger) Franklin February 25, 1917. He attended Success School and graduated from Cleora High School.
Bob was united in marriage with Betty A. Coyle on December 22, 1942 at First Baptist Church, Vinita. Bob was very active in the community. He served on the Success and Vinita school boards for 20 years. He was a member of the county FHA board and an ASCS community committeeman. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Vinita.
Bob is survived by: his wife, Betty; daughters, Judy and husband, Marvin McBee, Vinita; Carol Pixley, Muskogee; a son, Jay and wife, Susanna, and their children Anna, Noah, and Eva Franklin of Vinita.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, at First Baptist Church. Dr. Henry Haynes officiated. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Donald Whitesell, Jackie Osburn, Daryl Goins, Dean Fisher, Reuben Tipton, and Keith Martins. Honorary bearers were Marvin George, Jack Woodall, H. Owen Denney, Tony Ivy, Max Koesler, and John L. Frost. Services were under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home.

DAVID MONROE FRAZIER
TULSA, Okla. - Memorial services for David Frazier of Tulsa will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2001 at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with military honors.
David was born to James and Bertha (Caudill) Frazier on May 29, 1918 in Grove. He passed this life on Wednesday, April 18, in Tulsa, Okla. at the age of 82. David married Imogene (Guffey) Frazier in Columbus, Kan. on July 4, 1946 and they shared 54 years. He served in the Unites States Army from 1941 to 1951 in active service and reserves. David retired after 20 years as a service Technician for RCA. After retirement, he and his wife, Imogene, enjoyed getting out and traveling. David enjoyed fishing and just being in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Goldie and Beulah and one brother, Gene.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene, of the home; one daughter, Teyna Sue McMackin and husband, Larry, of Broken Arrow; two sons, Michael Monroe Frazier and wife, Janet, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and James David Frazier of Hominy; two brothers, Jack Frazier of Vinita, Okla., and Ralph Frazier of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Hazel Johnson of Grove, and Eileen Mahoney of Chicago; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.

JANE E. FRAZIER
GROVE - Jane Eva Frazier, 73, died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at her home after a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Frazier was born on April 3, 1927 in Tulsa, Okla. to Frank and Irene Brown Wills. She married James Frazier in Sapulpa, Okla. on October 31, 1944. Mrs. Frazier worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and then The University of Tulsa for seventeen years as a PBX Operator. She retired in May, 1983. She and her husband came to the Grove area from Tulsa, first living in Ketchum for six years and then in Grove for the past ten years. Mrs. Frazier was a past member of the Adair Chapter of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, James of Grove, two daughters, Carol McGhee of Ketchum, Okla. and Cathy Felkins of Jenks, Okla.; and one brother, Richard Will of Tulsa, Okla.
Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 1 West Mountain Street, Fayetteville, Ark. 72701. Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove.

EDITH KATHRYN FRENCH
GROVE - Edith Kathryn French, age 93, died Thursday, September 20, 2001 at her home in Grove. She was 93.
The daughter of Ben Soppeland and Ida (Chantland) Soppeland, she was born December 20, 1907 in Deer Creek, Iowa. Mrs. French was an accountant for the Ware-Ever Company in Chicago, Ill. She has lived in the area for 30 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Grove. Edith married Elburn M. French and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Louise Moffat in 1987.
Survivors are; grandchildren, Sandra Villwock and her husband Wayne, of Grove, Heidi Reynolds and her husband Brian, of Chicago, Ill., and David S. Moffat and his wife Cheryl, of San Diego, Calif.; great grandson, Ryan Reynolds, of Chicago.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Cookson Hills Christian Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 24, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove. Dr. Wayne Shaw, minister to officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The interment will be at Olympus Cemetery, Grove.
