SANJUANA CARRILLO
COMMERCE, Okla. - Sanjuana Carrillo, 49, died Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., after an illness.
Mrs. Carrillo was born January 23, 1953 in Matamoras, Mexico, to Ventura and Natalia (Ramos) Ribas. She has lived in Commerce, Okla., since 1985, moving here from Mexico.
Mrs. Carrillo was a homemaker and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami, Okla.
Survivors include: her husband, Cruz Carrillo, of the home; two sons, Ricardo and Caesar, both of Commerce; two daughters, Mary and Maggie Carrillo, both of Commerce; two brothers, Pedro and Juan Ribas, both of Mexico; six sisters, Maria Ribas of Commerce, Rosario, Rosalenda, Martha, Sylvia and Eva Helene Ribas, all of Mexico, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be recited at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami. Father Gregg Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce.

BRADLEY "BRAD" CARRINGTON
AUBREY, Texas - Bradley "Brad" Carrington, 37, formerly of Grove, died at his home November 18, 2002, from a housefire. He was born in Coronado, Calif. on April 30, 1965, to Orville (Norris) and Norma Martin Carrington. He was a self-employed electrician. He is survived by: his parents, Norris and Norma of Grove; a daughter, Kelly Carrington, of Grove; two brothers, Ralph Carrington of Garland, Texas and David Carrington of Plano, Texas; and one sister, Jamie Ramirez of The Colony, Texas.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 30, at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland, with Rev. Bob Atwood officiating. Arrangements are provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland.

CARL DAVID CARROLL
SALTON SEA BEACH, Calif. - Carl David Carroll, age 72, was found deceased January 23, 2002 at his home in Salton Sea Beach. Carl was born October 8, 1929 to Jess Carroll and Lorene Rowden Carroll and attended school at Picher, Okla. Carl later met Mildred Jenkins of Eucha, Okla., and married in 1949. Carl was a construction contractor most of his life, living in Rogers County and Tulsa, Okla., most of his life. Carl loved to fish and enjoy his family. Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, in 1986.
Survivors include: one son, David Carroll, and one daughter, Vickie Brown, both of Tulsa; six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Graveside memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, at Duffield Cemetery in Jay, Okla., under the direction of Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay.

ALMEDTA CARSON
CHERRYVALE, Kan. - Altmedta Carson, age 99, longtime resident, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2002 at the Presbyterian Manor in Parsons, Kan., where she had been making her home.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 18, at the Cherryvale Christian Church with Gerald Zuck, pastor, officiating. Interment was at the Harmony Grove Cemetery under the direction of Potts Chapel of Cherryvale.
Altmedta Carson was born January 31, 1903 in Cherryvale, the daughter of Edgar Foster and Margaret Ann Udora (Rupard) Foster. She grew up and attended school in Cherryvale, graduating from Cherryvale High School in 1921. During the years following her education, she was employed as a secretary with James Brady Law Office in Cherryvale, as a payroll clerk for a building contractor at Tri-City Airport, the A.S.C. Office in Independence, the Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, and at the Census Bureau in Pittsburg, Kan.
On July 21, 1923 in Independence she was united in marriage to Burl A. (Bud) Carson. The couple made their home in rural Cherryvale during their married life. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She was a member of the Cherryvale Christian Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Aurelia Cole and husband, Wallace, of Parsons, and Eudora Fay Read and husband, Robert, of Grove; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother, one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Robert Smith, one grandson, John Read, and two great-grandsons.
Casket bearers were Bryan Read, Sam Read, Mike Smith, Jim Smith, Alan Cole, and Kenny Cole.

JOHN BILL CARTER
John Bill Carter, a Hood River, Ore., resident, died July 13, 2002 at his residence. He was 74 years of age.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 17, at Anderson's Tribute Center with a reception following at the Saddle Club.
Bill Carter was born May 9, 1928 in Mayes County, Strang, Okla., to John and Edith (Mowery) Carter. He was raised and educated in Strang and graduated from Jay High School in Jay, Okla., in 1946.
On June 28, 1947, he and Midge Phillips were married in Goldendale, Wash. Bill moved to Aberdeen, Wash., in the late 1940's where he worked at Posey's Lumber Mill. He moved to Hood River 1961 and worked for Martin Marietta until 1974 when he became disabled.
Bill was past president of the Hood River Saddle Club. He loved to ride horses until disability prevented him from riding, so he turned his interest into raising cattle. He was a familiar face at The Dalles Livestock Auction for many years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Midge, of Hood River; daughters, Gayle Lee and her husband, Standley of Hood River, and Linda Carter of Hood River, and son, John Carter and his wife, Sandy of Molalla.
He is also survived by sisters, Wanda Hedrick of Jay, Okla., Deta Hogan of Locust Grove, Okla., and Gypsy Butler of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Frank Carter of Hillsdale, Ill., Dale Carter of Fredonia, Kan., and Gene Carter of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Jason Carter of Hood River, Joshua Lee of Beaverton, Ore., Cordin Carter and his wife, Tonia, of Hood River, Christy Frazier and her husband, Justin, of Hood River, and Jac and Miranda Carter of Molalla.
Also surviving are seven great grandchildren, Ryan, Jodie, Shelby and Brice Carter and Dalton, Meighan and Bailey Frazier, all of Hood River, and many nieces and nephews.
His parents and a sister, June Morrow, preceded him in death.
Private interment was at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Gorge c/o Anderson's Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont, Hood River, OR 97031.

LOUISE 'LU' (GOINS) CASE
VINITA, Okla. - Louise "Lu" (Goins) Case, 80-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2002 at White Oak, Okla.
Louise was born January 12, 1922 in Burkburnett, Texas, to J.C. and Johnnie Goins. She graduated from White Oak High School. "Lu" was a Veteran of World War II, serving in Virginia and Germany with the Army W.A.C.'s with the rank of Master Sgt. She was a member of the Big Cabin Christian Church and a lifetime member of V.F.M. Post 10368, serving as Junior Vice Chaplain.
Louise was united in marriage to Gerald L. (Pete) Case on July 22, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death August 17, 2000.
Survivors include: one brother, Bill Goins and wife, Billie, of Shawnee, Okla.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and a special friend, Clayda Stead, of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel. Rev. Max Adams will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Cookson Hills Children's Home in care of Burckhalter Funeral Home or the American Heart Association.
Services are under the direction of the Burckhalter Funeral Home.

ROBERT WAYNE CASE
VINITA, Okla. - Robert Wayne Case, a 64-year old Vinita resident passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at the home of his sister, Betty Hicks, Vinita.
Robert was born June 6, 1938, in Huntington Beach, Calif., to Buck and Helen (Seivert) Case.
Mr. Case entered the U.S. Navy in 1955, serving in Japan until his honorable discharge in November, 1961. He spent most of his life working in the oilfields of California and Texas. He came to Oklahoma in 1993 and for several years enjoyed working at the Elk River dock and trading fish stories with family and friends. He was also employed at Eastern State Hospital and Big Ernie's Feed Store in Vinita. For the last several years he and friends made a boat trip up and down the Arkansas and Mississippi River, fishing and camping. He also spent time with friends and relatives at his pond northwest of Vinita.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Judy Tanner, of Bakersfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Aaron Barnes of Tehachapi, Calif.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Jenny Case of Lakeview NC, Dan and Moni Case of Bakersfield, Dale and Debbie Case of Tehachapi; five grand children, Jewell and Derrick Case, A.J. and Megan Barnes, and Tessa Case; three sisters and their families, JoAnn and Oron Austin of Riverdale, Calif., Betty and Joe Hicks of Vinita, Lea and Bob Baker of Lewisburg, Tenn., and Lila and Gary Crawford of Bakersfield; a special niece and nephew-in-law Vicki and Bobby McAffrey and their children Sara and Joshua, of Monkey Island, Okla.; and special fishing partners, Carlos Bennett and Janet Jones of Vinita, and Jason Blakely of Kansas City, Mo; numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Case is to be cremated and per his request his ashes are to be spread over the pond where family and friends will gather for a small private service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous in care of the Burckhalter Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home.

EARL DEE CASEY
GROVE - Earl Dee Casey died Sunday morning at Grove General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 73. He was born October 31, 1928 to Israel and Matilda Caldwell Casey at Oilton, Okla. He was a retired machinist, having worked for American Airlines in Tulsa, Okla. He married Era Mae Glenn at Tulsa on December 7, 1946. She preceded him in death on May 11, 1974. He married Margie Harris on October 28, 1982. She survives of the home. He moved to Grove in 1988, coming from Tulsa. He was a member of the Independent Assembly House of Worship in Grove.
Survivors include: his wife, Margie Casey, of Grove; a son, Max Casey of Tulsa; a step-son, Buddy Hackler of Glenpool; two daughters, Carolyn O'Neal and husband, Gerald, of Owasso, and Trisha Nichols of Tulsa; a step-daughter, Paula King and husband, Talan, of Tulsa; a brother, Floyd Casey of Tulsa; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland, Okla., with Rev. Kenneth Cope officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff O'Neal, Shawn Nichols, Brian Casey, Larry McDonald, Kenny Epperson, and Casey Epperson. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.

MABLE PAULINE (CURREY) CASTANO
JAY, Okla. - Mable Pauline (Currey) Castano, age 87, born December 13, 1914 in Grove, died Monday, March 11, 2002 at 12:25 p.m. at the Grove Nursing Center after a long illness.
Mable is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Clara Currey, her husband, Rudy Castano, one sister, Mattie Mae, and four brothers, Homer, Leslie, Harold and Johnny Currey.
Mable moved to Flint, Mich., in 1930 and was later employed by General Motors at the AC Spark Plug facility. She retired in 1979, having been employed there for 32 years. After the death of her husband, Mable returned to Jay to be with her loved ones.
Survivors include: sister-in-law, Opal Currey; niece, Linda Robertson and husband, Jerry; niece, Maxine Jones and husband, Bill; nephew, Sam Moye and wife, Lona; several more nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mable's family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel at Jay. Services will be Friday, March 15, at 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay. Mable will be laid to rest at Olympus Cemetery in Grove.

OPAL VIOLA CAUDILL
GROVE - Opal Viola Caudill, 92, went home to be with the Lord, November 2, 2002 at her home in Grove. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, at the First Baptist Church, Grove, with Rev. Loyd Crawford and Dr. Robin Cowin officiating. Burial will follow at Olympus Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home.
Opal was born February 13, 1910 in Emporia, Kan., to George Washington and Nora Viola (Robinson) Brown. She married Thomas Jefferson Caudill on January 7, 1931 at Fayetteville, Ark. They made their home in Grove where she was a loving mother, homemaker and a caregiver to her children and son, Wayne, who was afflicted with cerebral palsy, for 61 years. Mrs. Caudill was a member of the First Baptist Church, Grove, past member of Oak Grove Community Homemakers Club, and school board member at Oak Grove School.
Survivors include: one daughter, Roseann, of Grove; three sons, Lloyd Caudill and wife, Emma Jean, Lonnie Caudill and wife, Immogene, and Tommy Caudill and wife, Anita, all of Grove; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Her husband and three sons, Paul, Kenneth and Wayne, preceded her in death.
One of Opal's favorite Bible passages was Psalm 86:6-13. She is loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed until the reuniting with her in heaven.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or The Gideons.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove.
