FRANCIS A. 'FRANK' CLARK
GROVE - Francis A. "Frank" Clark, age 88, died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at Grove Nursing Center after a brief illness.
Francis A. "Frank" Clark was born on March 14, 1914 in Kansas City, Kan., to Delta and Esther (Johnson) Clark. He married Dorothy Swisher in Kansas City in October 1937. She preceded him in death in 1999. Mr. Clark worked as a carpenter before his retirement. He moved to the Wyandotte area in 1959 from Kansas City. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Mo.
Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

FRANCES MAY CLARK
GROVE - Frances May Clark, age 77, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at her home after a lengthy illness. Family will greet friends on Sunday, February 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home in Grove.
Frances Clark was born on May 1, 1924 at Pittsburg, Kan., to Norman and Louise (Rambke) Renfro. She married Jack A. Clark on June 13, 1943 in Pittsburg, Kan. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Clark volunteered as a Pink Lady at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg. She had lived in the Grove area for 15 years, coming from Pittsburg.
Survivors include: her husband, Jack A. Clark, of Grove; one son, Jim Clark, of Springdale, Ark.; one daughter, Susie Beasley, of Wooster, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Derrick and Justin Beasley. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Winifred McCabe, and one brother, Norman Renfro, Jr.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home of Grove.

NOVA GAY CLARK
GROVE - Nova Gay Clark, 89-year-old resident of Grove Nursing Center, passed away Friday, March 8, 2002 following an extended illness.
Nova was born July 18, 1914 in Lamar, Ark., to Garrett and Amanda (Sparks) Rhynes. She moved to this area in the early 1960's from Lamar. Nova worked at the Langley School and worked many years as a caregiver.
Nova was married to George Clark who preceded her in death in 1979.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Iva Bradley, and three grandchildren.
Survivors include: five daughters, Rosemary Morrow and husband, Wayne, of Langley, Irene Williams and husband, Leon, of Langley, Virginia Page and husband, Harold, of Langley, Colleen Mitchell and husband, Art, of Disney, Okla., and Moodean Cossey of Kansas City, Kan.; four sons, Gary Clark and wife, Betty, of Langley, Norman Clark and wife, Janet, of Warsaw, Mo., Mack Clark and wife, Mary Joe, of Hagerville, Ark., and George Clark, Jr. and wife, Juanita, of Hagerville; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Disney Assembly of God Church in Disney., Rev. Ken Light officiated. Interment was in Carselowey Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of the Burckhalter Funeral Home in Vinita, Okla.

J.W. COALY
LANGLEY, Okla. - J.W. Coaly, age 74, died Tuesday, January 15, 2002 in Claremore, Okla. He was born March 17, 1927 in Hollis, Okla., to James and Opal Coaly. He was an M.P. in the U.S. Army and retired from REC Coop in Vinita. He came to Oklahoma in January 1968 from Plainview, Texas. He was a rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: his wife, Patsy Coaly of Langley; one daughter, Sandy Coaly of Jay, Okla.; one son J.W. Coaly, Jr. of Lahoma, Okla; one step-daughter, Melinda Long of Langley; one step-son, Benny Long of Bristow, Okla.; three brothers, Rheaford Coaly of Dumas, Texas, Delbert Coaly of Bagdad, Ariz., and Donnie Coaly of Strafford, Texas; three sisters, Ruth Parker of Oklahoma City, Okla., Betty Landers of Del City, Okla., and Joyce Jackson of Tulsa, Okla; grandchildren, Jacob Tanner, Jason Tanner, Jerrod Coaly, and Jayla Coaly; one step-grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 17, at Southside Church of Christ in Jay. Interment will be Friday, January 18, at Dryden Cemetery, Hollis.

LOUWILLA COCHRAN
WICHITA, Kan. - LouWilla Cochran, age 95, of Wichita died Wednesday, January 9, 2002 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Cochran was born March 3, 1906 in Harco, Ill., to Calvin and Miller (Weir) Gouge. She moved to Afton, Okla., as a teenager and graduated from Afton High School. She married Charles L. Cochran on March 19, 1927 in Afton. She moved to Wichita after his death in 1988.
Mrs. Cochran was a homemaker and assisted her husband in various grocery butcher markets in Miami, Okla. ,for many years.
Survivors include: a son, Bobby Cochran of Wichita; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 14, in the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Rev. Loren Loveall officiated. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
At the family's request memorials may be made to friends' charity of choice.

LOIS F. COFER
GROVE - Lois F. Cofer, age 95, passed away August 13, 2002 at the Grove Nursing Center. She was born in Longdale, Okla., March 30, 1907 to Lee Fox and Mary (Wilson) Fox. She completed elementary and high school at Taloga, Okla. She moved to Shawnee, Okla., where she was employed and retired from Woolworth Co. She then moved to Monkey Island, Okla., where she became a homemaker. She loved to work outside. Her favorite flower was a rose. She loved animals and most always had a dog with her. She attended the Lake Center Baptist Church of Monkey Island.
She is preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Survivors include two nephews, seven nieces, and several grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 16, at 2 p.m. at Taloga Cemetery with Rex Shores officiating. Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Chapel, Grove.

AUSTIN CALVIN COFFEY
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. - Austin Calvin Coffey age 82, of Coffeyville, Kan., died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Coffey was born June 17, 1920 in Shamrock, Okla. to Richard Calvin and Ona May (Thacker) Coffey. His family moved to Coffeyville when Austin was a boy and he attended Coffeyville schools.
In 1940 he married Elwanda Montgomery; they later divorced. On August 22, 1960 he married Jessie Hine in Miami, Okla. Mr. Coffey worked for Continental Can and D.L. Dixon until the company closed. He also worked for the Montgomery County Road and Bridge crew for 13 years, retiring in 1985. Austin enjoyed his antique shop he operated near his home.
He attended the Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Coffey is survived by: his wife, Jessie, of the home; one son, Richard , of Grove, Okla.; one daughter, Shelia Scheler, of Gordonville, Texas; two stepsons, David Hine of Coffeyville, and Carl Hine; one stepdaughter, Jeannine Werner, of Missouri; two brothers, Dale Coffey, of Grand Lake, Okla. and Leon Coffey, of Texas; 10 grandchildren and several great-great- grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, November 29 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewater Chapel with burial in Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville. The family will hold a visitation Friday until service time. Memorials to the American Lung Association are welcome.

ROBERT B. COLEMAN
PONCA CITY, Okla. - Robert B. "Bob" Coleman died Friday, April 19, 2002 at Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center. He was 86.
A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Kenneth Armstrong, rector, as celebrant. Arrangements are under the direction of the Trout Funeral Home. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
Robert Boisseau Coleman, Jr. was born in Birmingham, Ala., on March 15, 1916 to Robert Boisseau and Jessie Wheeler Coleman. After graduating from high school in Birmingham he attended North Carolina State University. While taking the train back to college one fall he met his future bride, Ann Alderson. After graduating with a chemical engineering degree he attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He later attained his law degree and became a patent attorney in the oil industry.
While residing in Ada, Okla., he became active in the community, establishing the first Boys Club and the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at East Central State University.
He joined Continental Oil Company in 1964. While in Ponca City he was active in Rotary Club and helped establish the Pioneer Rotary Club. He has been named Rotarian of the Year and in 1985 was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow, one of Rotary's highest honors. He was also active in Shriners, Masons, belonged to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers for over 50 years, was a lay reader for Grace Episcopal Church, did public mediation, and belonged to the Oklahoma Bar Association.
After retirement, he and Ann moved to The Coves near Ketchum, Okla. They loved their lake view home and the many new friends they made. The couple enjoyed traveling, especially cruises. Bob had a great appreciation of art and enjoyed reading. In 1999 the couple returned to Ponca City and resided at Westminster Village.
Bob is survived by his children, Clay Campbell and his wife, Nancy, of Yukon, Okla.; R.B. Coleman III and his wife, Vickie, of Grand Prairie, Texas; Claire Harrah and her husband, C.B., of San Antonio; Ginger Coleman of Ponca City, Barbara Lindahl of Sapulpa; and Caroline Rogers and her husband, Rikk, of Ponca City; his brothers, Tom Coleman and his wife, Una, and George Coleman and his wife, Martha, both from Birmingham, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, and parents, R.B., Sr. and Jessie.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.

BARBARA JOANN COMSTOCK
VINITA, Okla. - Barbara JoAnn Comstock, 64-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Monday, June 3, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident.
Barbara was born November 25, 1937 in Pryor, Okla., to Stanford and Ruth Gail (Straw) White. Barbara moved from Tulsa to the Vinita area 37 years ago. She was retired, having worked at Eastern State Hospital for many years and later at Cinch. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Chelsea, Okla.
She was married to Paul Lee Comstock who preceded her in death March 18, 2000. Also preceding were her parents, one sister, and two brothers.
Survivors include: two daughters, Deborah Gail Anderson and husband, Bob, of Claremore, Okla., and Gaylene Ellis and husband, Jim, of Montana; two sons, Stan Hughes and wife, Janette, of Big Cabin, Okla., and Darrell Hughes and wife, Cassie, of Claremore; and five grandchildren, Brandy and Shonda Anderson, Clint, Tara and Nichole Hughes.
Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel. Rev. Will Busch officiated. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Pryor.
Services were under the direction of the Burckhalter Funeral Home. .

HAROLD DAVID CONARD
GROVE - Harold David Conard of Grove died Monday, January 28, 2002 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was 64.
Mr. Conard was born December 28, 1937 to Harold James and Sarah (Garnet) Conard at Vinita, Okla. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 32 years, retiring in 1997 in Grove. He was a member of the Southwestern Telephone Pioneers, and a member of the Church of Christ in Grove. He married Marian Conard October 11, 1969, she preceded him in death in June of 1995. Mr. Conard later married Hazel (Kirby) Conard on February 29, 1996 in Miami. One sister also preceded him in death, Kathleen Thompson.
Survivors include: his wife, Hazel Conard, of Grove; three children, James Bryan Conard and Glenda of Oklahoma City, Okla., Carol Jean Conard of Vinita, and Lisa Conard of Norman, Okla.; six stepchildren, Joyce Dudley and husband, Mike, of Pensacola, Okla., Charles Cole and wife, Anita, of Strang, Okla., Rejeana Johnston and husband, Joey, of Vinita, Philip Isom of Kansas, Okla., Todd Isom of Claremore, Okla., and Charles Isom, Jr. of Ada, Okla.; one sister, Betty Willy, and husband, R.E. "Bud," of Bartlesville, Okla., and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at the Church of Christ in Grove with Doug Rainbolt officiating. Interment will be at the Ketchum Cemetery with the Grove Veterans Ritual Team to conduct military rites.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Donations may be made to Hope Harbor, P. O. Box 1047, Claremore, OK 74018.

ARGYLL E. CONNER
YANKTON, S.D. - Funeral services for Argyll E. Conner, 75, of Yankton, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2002, at Ray, Cantrell and Wintz Funeral Home in Yankton, with Rev. Dean Trapp officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Yankton, with military services provided by the Ernest-Boyer VFW Post #791. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Thursday with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Conner was born June 5, 1927, at Dennis, Okla. to Millard L. (Bob) and Fairy Marie (DuBois) Conner, and died Sunday July 7, 2002, at Avera Yankton Care Center. He graduated from high school at Grove, Okla. in 1944 and attended Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University) for one year. He then served two tours of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps.
He married Dixie Freeman on May 1, 1948, at the Wheeling Ave. Christian Church in Tulsa, Okla. They lived in Oceanside, Calif. until his discharge in 1950, when returned to Oklahoma A&M, receiving his degree in 1952.
Mr. Conner and his family then lived in South Dakota and Minnesota where he managed registered Angus cattle ranches. He showed several Angus champions through those years at the Chicago International and Denver Livestock Shows. In 1966, the family moved to Yankton where he was employed as farm and dairy manager of the SD Human Services Center until his retirement in 1991.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and often taped their childhood conversations and comments so he could enjoy them later. He loved most sports, especially football, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He played high school and college football and played in the 1945 Cotton Bowl. He also played two seasons for the Marine Corps, and while living in Minnesota, he coached the Victoria Vikings little league team.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Yankton Senior Citizens Center. He was also a member and Past Master of St. Andrew's Lodge #208 AF & AM.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Colin Conner and his wife, Jeanne, of Canton, S.D.; two daughters, Rebecca Kirchen of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Connie Regalado of Yankton; three granddaughters and two grandsons; two sisters, Donna Fields of Grove, and Delphia Lee and her husband, Bryan, of Nowata; a sister-in-law, Ruth Groff of Russia, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a brother-in-law.
