Randy Pete Fleming
The graveside service for Randy Pete Fleming will be held March 20 at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif. Inurnment will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park.
Mr. Fleming, 45, of Medford, died Monday (March 5, 2001) at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.
He was born April 6, 1955, in Long Beach, Calif., a son of Oscar and Antha Fleming. On June 21, 1975, in Bellflower, Calif., he married Melanie Dugas, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1992 from Lakewood, Calif.
Mr. Fleming worked as a journeyman machinist and as a CNC programmer before his health forced him to retire.
He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar and piano.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Daniel and Matthew, both Medford; a brother, Tom, Long Beach, Calif.; and a sister, Beverly Dieffenbacher, Chino, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ron.

William Edwin Stupe
The memorial service for William Edwin Stupe will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery Interment Shelter. The American Legion Honor Guard will officiate.
Mr. Stupe, 54, of Medford, died Monday (March 5, 2001) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born April 28, 1946, in Evanston, Ill., the son of Herman and Helen Stupe. On July 27, 1968, in Gig Harbor, Wash., he married Dawn Boutwell, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Ferndale, Wash.
Mr. Stupe retired from the U.S. Navy in 1993 with the rank of lieutenant.
He enjoyed rafting down the Rogue River, fishing and bowling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Nicole Thomas, Medford; two sons, Jason, Chicago, and Todd, Renton, Wash.; two sisters, Carol Benaiz, Chicago, and Bobbie Walker, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Thomas White
The memorial service for Thomas White will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Covenant Life Ministries in Phoenix. Pastor Lee Saunders will officiate.
Mr. White, 87, of Central Point, died Wednesday (March 7, 2001) at his home.
He was born May 5, 1913, in Cornwall, England, a son of Thomas and Elizabeth White. On Oct. 6, 1940, in Anaconda, Mont., he married Maxine Steffen, who died in 1989. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1948.
Mr. White was an ordained Assemblies of God minister and served as a pastor for 12 years. He worked for Cascade Wood Products in White City for 19 years, retiring as a foreman in 1972.
He enjoyed music and carpentry, and built the home he lived in for 51 years.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Arlin, Central Point, and Raymond, Milwaukie; a daughter, Ruth Bard, Portland; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David; three brothers, Forrest, Claude and Jack, and two sisters, Mary Symons and Millie Wilkins.

Eleanor Cora Waldron
Eleanor Cora Waldron, 80, of Medford, died Monday (March 5, 2001) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Eleanor Gerhardi on Aug. 30, 1920, in London. On Oct. 30, 1937, in Fort Fraser, British Columbia, Canada, she married James Edward Waldron, who died in 1982. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1978 from Lebanon.
Mrs. Waldron was a volunteer for the Senior Volunteer Program for 12 years before her retirement.
She lived at Ross Knotts Retirement Center until February 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel L. Waldron, Scio, James Edward, Grand Forks, British Columbia; two daughters, Barbara Jean LeComte, Burnaby, British Columbia, Marylyn "Joy" Wade, in Australia; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
Dexter ‘Preston’ Lewis
Dexter "Preston" Lewis, 79, of Phoenix, died Wednesday (March 7, 2001) in Gold Hill. No service is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born Oct. 10, 1921 in Starr, Ore., the son of Francis and Edna Lewis. On April 11, 1939, in Montesano, Wash., he married Clara "Ann" Lewis, who survives. They lived in Klamath Falls for 26 years, and in Phoenix for the past 15 years.
Mr. Lewis was the meat market manager for Safeway for 36 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Meat Cutters Union, Local 555.
Mr. Lewis enjoyed golf, fishing, camping and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four daughters, Cherie Holberton, Sams Valley, Vikki Skaggs and Peggy Cardinal, both Medford, and Trudy Dunlap, Stayton; a brother, Paul, Portland; a sister, Loween Keiska, Ilwaco, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Fields; and five grandsons.

Francis Geraldine Miller
The funeral for Francis Geraldine Miller will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Ms. Miller, 83, of Grants Pass, died Monday (March 5, 2001) at her home.
She was born June 22, 1917, in Higgins, Texas, a daughter of Jasper and Stella Miller. She moved to Grants Pass in 1987 from Modesto, Calif.
Ms. Miller served in the U.S. Navy as an aviation machinist’s mate during World War II.
She worked for the McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Co. as an aircraft assembler for 25 years in Santa Monica, Calif.
Ms. Miller was a charter member of the Women in Military Services for America Memorial Foundation.
She enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Survivors include a nephew, Hal Miller, Grants Pass; and two nieces, Jacquelyn Helgeson, Myrtle Creek and Sandie Jelinek, Oregon City.

Daniel Edgar Hoffman
The funeral for Daniel Edgar Hoffman will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Hoffman, 71, of Grants Pass, died Monday (March 5, 2001) at his home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Preston, Kan. He moved to Klamath Falls in 1930, to Medford in 1973, and later moved to Grants Pass.
Mr. Hoffman served in the U.S. Army as a landing craft crewman.
He worked at a sawmill in Klamath Falls and at Witham Truck Stop in Medford.
Mr. Hoffman enjoyed gardening and walking his dog, Buddy.
Survivors include a brother, Adam, Klamath Falls; and a sister, Oma Blevins, Medford. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie, and a sister.
