Hedy K. Kremser
Hedy K. Kremser, 92, of Central Point, died Wednesday (Jan. 10, 2001) at an adult foster care home in Medford. Private interment will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, Grants Pass.
She was born Oct. 15, 1908, in Neustadt, Germany. She and her husband, Fred, moved to Grants Pass in 1949. He died in 1972. She moved to Central Point in 1987.
Mrs. Kremser was an avid gardener.
Survivors include three nieces, Laura Workman, Central Point, Gretchen Kalbfus, Paradise, Calif., and Roberta Geney, Santa Rosa, Calif.

Lucille Mae Kuhlwein
The memorial service for Lucille Mae Kuhlwein will be at 11 a.m. today at Bear Creek Estates, 300 Luman Road, Phoenix. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Kuhlwein, 71, of Phoenix, died Sunday (Dec. 31, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She was born June 11, 1929, in Klamath Falls. On May 19, 1945, in Klamath Falls, she married William Kuhlwein, who died in 1996. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Klamath Falls in 1950.
Mrs. Kuhlwein owned the old Shady Cove Market in Shady Cove from 1975-1984.
She enjoyed her family, flowers and gardening.
Survivors include a son, William Jr., Medford; two daughters, Linda Nickels, Jacksonville, and Vicki Garrard, Medford; her mother, Alice Schiesel, Ashland; a sister, Barbara Keffer, Klamath Falls; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Michael Joseph Cluck
The memorial service for Michael Joseph Cluck will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate.
Mr. Cluck, 44, of Central Point, died Monday (Jan. 1, 2001) in Central Point.

He was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Kirkland, Wash. He graduated from Crater High School in 1975, and lived in the Rogue Valley for 38 years.
Mr. Cluck was a concrete finisher at Batzer Construction in Medford.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 177 to 1981.
Mr. Cluck enjoyed outdoor recreation, shooting guns, bowling and movies.
Survivors include his fiancée, Kimberly Dumore, Medford; his parents, Henry G. And Jean R. Cluck, Central Point; and a brother, John T., Tallahassee, Fla.
Friends may pay their respects from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, 550 Business Park Drive, Medford.
Walter M. Skundrick
The celebration of the life of Walter Michael Skundrick will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Park Clubhouse, 3431 S. Pacific Highway, Medford.
Mr. Skundrick, 79, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 3, 2001) at his home.

He was born July 7, 1921, in Butte, Mont. He moved to the Rogue Valley in the 1950s from Portland. On Nov. 21, 1985, in Reno, Nev., he married Patricia A. Christian, who survives.
Mr. Skundrick worked for the railroad in the early 1950s. He then worked as a night manager for Roxy Ann Bowling Lanes for 28 years.
He enjoyed bowling, gardening, traveling and the San Francisco 49ers and Giants.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Phillip, and Donald W., both Medford; a daughter, Diane Carson, Springfield; three stepchildren, Cheryl Christian, Medford, Pamala Sproul, Seattle, and Richard Christian, Portland; a brother, Donald T., Medford; two sisters, Irene Sanders, Medford, and Mildred Croft, Idaho Falls, Idaho; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Dorothy Whitman, Brookings. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjory Skundrick.

Margaret M. Mechura
The memorial service for Margaret Maryann Mechura will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the River Mission Catholic Church in Rogue River. The Rev. Gregory Moys will officiate. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point.
Mrs. Mechura, 83, of Rogue River, died Dec. 13, 2000, at Royale Gardens Nursing Home.

She was born April 10, 1917, in Los Angeles. On Sept. 25, 1942, in Los Angeles, she married James Mechura, who died in 2000. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1970 from Redondo Beach, Calif.
Mrs. Mechura was a member of the Rogue River Civic Club and the Catholic Women’s Club of Our Lady of the River Mission Catholic Church in Rogue River.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, fishing and travel.
Survivors include a niece, Mary Alice Peters, Del Mar, Calif.; and a nephew, John Cady, in Virginia.

ArLene J. Stearns
The memorial service for ArLene J. Stearns will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Grants Pass. Deacon Joani Bristol will officiate.
Mrs. Stearns, 89, of Grants Pass, died Monday (Jan. 1, 2001) at Royale Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass.

She was born April 24, 1911, in Burns, a daughter of Grover and Floy Jameson. On Aug. 21, 1932, in Burns, she married Roland Stearns, who died in 1993. They moved to Grants Pass from Burns in 1940.
Mrs. Stearns was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, St. Luke’s Guild and the American Red Cross.
Survivors include a son, Peter, Amherst, N.H.; a daughter, Susan Clark, Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Jeanne Magini, Salome, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Hillman Hamilton Miller
The funeral for Hillman Hamilton Miller will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Miller, 84, of White City, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) in Medford.
He was born on May 19, 1916, in Lone Grove, Okla., a son of Luther and Nora Miller.
On April 8, 1939, in Glendale, Calif., he married Billie Opal Carr, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Oklahoma in 1950.
Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a charter member of the Labrador Retriever Club in the Rogue Valley in the early 1950s. He was a member of the Salvation Army Church for 62 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Wanda Lambreth, in California. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
