Agnes Loretta Klose
The funeral Mass for Agnes Loretta Klose will be at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Shady Cove. The Rev. William McHugh will officiate. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Ms. Klose, 88, of Medford, died Nov. 22, 2000, at her home.

She was born Dec. 10, 1911, in Fresno, Calif., a daughter of Charles and Magdalena (Miller) Klose. She graduated from Queen of the Angels Nursing School in Los Angeles in 1934.
Ms. Klose was a registered nurse in Los Angeles, Alaska, Orange County, Calif., and at Providence Medford Medical Center. She retired in 1976.
During World War II, she served in the U. S. Army at Camp White and in France from 1943-1946.
Ms. Klose enjoyed cooking and traveling.
Survivors include three sisters, Theresa Klose, Medford, Anna Johnson, Ventura, Calif., and Helen Klose, Costa Mesa, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Klose; and four sisters, Louise O’Keefe, Marie Carvin, Ida Potter, and Martha Lovejoy.

Devonne Griffin
The memorial service for Devonne Griffin will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ramon Chapel, Palm Springs Mortuary, Cathedral City, Calif. Interment will be in Palm Springs Mausoleum, Cathedral City, Calif.
Mrs. Griffin, 56, of Palm Desert, Calif., formerly of Medford, died Saturday (Nov. 25, 2000) at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Crater Lake Ave., Suite 10, Medford, OR 97504, or to a favorite charity.
She was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Long Beach, Calif., a daughter of Samuel Oliver and Leatrice Marion (Dwyer) Prough. On Feb. 23, 1963, in Reno, Nev., she married Jodie W. Griffin, who survives.
The Griffins owned and operated Shower Doors & More — a custom shower door and tub enclosure business. She was also a hostess at the Emerald Desert Resort. She lived in Medford from 1950-1985.
Mrs. Griffin was a past member of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Cathedral Chamber of Commerce and the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce. She was also a past volunteer for the Bob Hope Golf tournaments.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Tatia Griffin, San Leandro, Calif., and Cari Smedley, Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Shireen, Beaverton; and two grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ramon Chapel Palm Springs Mortuary, Cathedral City, Calif.
Richard Joffre Meservier
The funeral Mass for Richard Joffre Meservier will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Anne Catholic Church in Grants Pass.
Mr. Meservier, 55, of Grants Pass died Saturday (Nov. 25, 2000).

He was born Aug. 6, 1945, in Lewiston, Maine and attended school there until his family moved to California in 1957. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1962, Los Angeles Trade Technical College in 1964, and attended California State University at Long Beach. On June 20, 1969, in Los Angeles, he married Susan Stinson, who survives. They moved to Ashland in 1978, and to Grants Pass in 1984.
Mr. Meservier was the owner and operator of Ernie’s Vacuum and Sewing Center in Grants Pass for 15 years.
He served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Mr. Meservier coached Little League baseball and youth soccer and was involved in Babe Ruth and American Legion baseball.
He was a member of St. Anne parish, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1833 and Vietnam Veterans of America.
Mr. Meservier enjoyed spending time with his family, travel, woodworking and design.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Chad, Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Amy Meservier, Vancouver, Wash.; two brothers, Robert and Paul, both Lewiston, Maine; a sister, Joan Terry, Santa Clarita, Calif.; and a granddaughter.

Anna Spitz
The memorial service for Anna Spitz will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Siskiyou Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pastor Clifford will officiate.
Mrs. Spitz, 89, of Bend, formerly of Central Point, died Nov. 23, 2000, in Bend.

She was born Dec. 15, 1910, in Witt, Ill., a daughter of Anna and George Gabor. On June 21, 1931, in Witt, Ill., she married Charles Henry Spitz, who died in 1970.
Mrs. Spitz worked at Reter Fruit Company and Harry and David in Medford. She lived in Central Point from 1951-1993.
She enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, rockhounding and travel. She had traveled to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, Hawaii, China and Mexico.
Survivors include three sisters, Margaret McGuire, Eagle Point, Irene Marcisz, Medford, and Julia Skuba, Litchfield, Ill. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl, in 1955; three brothers, George, John and Nicholas Gabor; and a sister, Mary Spitz.

Mae J. McLeod
Mae J. McLeod, 93, of Medford, died Monday (Nov. 27, 2000) in Medford. The memorial service will be held later in Montclair, N.J. Private inurnment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, N. J.

She was born Mae Johanna Nissen on March 4, 1907, in New York, N.Y. In Montclair, N.J., she married James Harold McLeod, who died in 1970.
Mrs. McLeod was a claims adjuster with Travelers Insurance Company in New Jersey for more than 30 years. She moved to the Rogue Valley one month ago from Novato, Calif., where she lived for eight years after moving from New Jersey.
She was a member of St. Francis of Solano Catholic Church in Sonoma, Calif.
Mrs. McLeod enjoyed traveling and playing bridge, and was a 50-year member of her bridge club in New Jersey.
Survivors include a son, James E., Medford; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Alfred Eugene Walker
Alfred Eugene Walker, 88, of Medford, died Friday (Nov. 24, 2000) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
He was born May 6, 1912, in Canby, the son of William and Cora Walker. On Sept. 19, 1942, in Canby, he married Norma Roth, who died in 1999. He moved to the Rogue Valley in the early 1960s from Canby.
Mr. Walker was a big band drummer. He later worked as a vacuum cleaner repairman.
He was a member of the Musicians Mutual Association.
Survivors include a cousin, Carroll Meeks, Salem; and a niece, Betty Jennings, Aloha.

Leonard R. Clupny
The memorial service for Leonard R. Clupny will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the home of Randall Remmel, 2802 N.E. 21st St., Portland. Interment will be private.
Mr. Clupny, 48, of Salem, formerly of Medford, died Nov. 19, 2000, in Salem.
He was born Feb. 12, 1952, in Medford, and was raised and educated in Medford. He graduated from Phoenix High School and attended Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls for two years.
Mr. Clupny was a member of the Master Gardeners Club.
He enjoyed reading, gardening, outdoor sports and biking.
Survivors include his mother, Audrey VanGordon, Salem; and three sisters, Susie McTevia, Medford, and Laurie K. Fery and Leanne Miesner, both Salem.
