Eileen Lawson

The memorial service for Eileen Lawson will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church in Rogue River.

Mrs. Lawson, 64, of Rogue River, died Oct. 20, 2000, at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 400 N.E. E St., Grants Pass, OR 97526.

She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Honolulu, a daughter of Bruce and Edna Clark. She moved to Rogue River in 1970 from Camarillo, Calif.

Mrs. Lawson was an accomplished seamstress and artist.

She enjoyed her Bible study groups, and ministering to older folks, especially the residents of Royale Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass, where she joined in their Saturday worship service.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Williams, in Texas, and Robert Lawson, Grants Pass; a daughter, Julie Lee, Rogue River; a sister, Ann Landkammer, in Missouri; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Ray Lawson, in 1999.

Arrangements: Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home, Grants Pass.

Ivan Dale Rhinevault

The memorial service for Ivan Dale Rhinevault will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Eagle Point National Cemetery interment shelter. Chaplain Wayne Bell of the White City Veterans Affairs Domiciliary will officiate.

Mr. Rhinevault, 78, of Rogue River, died Saturday (Nov. 4, 2000) at a foster care home.

He was born Aug. 16, 1922, in Springfield, a son of Asa and Edith (Adams) Rhinevault.

Mr. Rhinevault was a logger for Fall Creek Lumber Company in the Grants Pass area.

He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant during World War II, and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Mr. Rhinevault was a member of the Elks.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Lett, Yakima, Wash., and Myreita Antone, Zillah, Wash.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers.

Robert Donald Lewis

Robert Donald Lewis, 76, of Central Point, died Oct. 31, 2000, at his home. A private service will be held.

He was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Denver.

Mr. Lewis was self-employed in the telecommunications industry. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1993 from San Rafael, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Kevin, Las Vegas; a daughter, Robin Laurie Lewis, in California; a brother, Gerald, Pismo Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; a daughter, Linda P. Lewis; and a sister, Patricia.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Marion ‘Gertie’ Smith

The memorial service for Marion Gertrude "Gertie" Smith will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hull & Hull Chapel. Pastors Marvin Clark and Steve Cook will officiate.

Mrs. Smith, 79, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Nov. 4, 2000) at Three Rivers Hospital-Dimmick Campus.

She was born Sept. 12, 1921, in College Place, Wash. On July 3, 1965, in Reno, Nev., she married Robert H. "Mike" Smith, who survives.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She lived in the Rogue Valley for 75 years; 25 years in Medford and 50 years in Grants Pass.

She enjoyed needlework, crocheting, traveling and crossword puzzles.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Gary Tryon, Shady Cove; two daughters, Glenda Squire, Phoenix, Ariz., and Ellen Tryon, Portland; two brothers, Arch Kitchen, Brookings, and Max Kitchen, Medford; a sister, Elsie McCutcheon, Trail; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects following the service at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors, Grants Pass.

George Enstrom

The memorial service for George Enstrom will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church in Medford. The Rev. Robert Larsen will officiate.

Mr. Enstrom, 76, of Ashland, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, c/o Luther Leaguers, 2617 E. Barnett Road, Medford, OR 97504.

He was born June 7, 1924, in Moser. On Jan. 23, 1964, in Santa Ana, Calif., he married Avalon Geen Winslow, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1967 from Santa Ana, Calif.

Mr. Enstrom was a truck driver for Lyons Van and Storage in California before moving to Oregon in 1967. In the Rogue Valley, he was an orchardist for Bear Creek Corp. for 27 years until his retirement.

He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and served on the church council for more than 10 years. He oversaw the equipment and maintenance of the church and decorated the church Christmas tree for 15 years.

He and his wife lived in Phoenix for 18 years and retired to Ashland. His Christmas light displays at both homes made the front page of the Medford and Ashland newspapers several times.

Mr. Enstrom enjoyed fishing, hunting, rock collecting and working with his hands, especially fixing things.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, David L. Enstrom, Shady Cove, Kevin McMahon, Talent, and Jason McMahon, Dolgeville, N.Y.; two daughters, Julia A. Enstrom, Yreka, Calif., and Maureen Winkler, Eugene; a brother, Robert, Hillsboro; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Fay Quincey

The memorial service for Fay Quincey will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Perl Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Close of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Medford will officiate.

Mrs. Quincey, 94, of Medford, died Sunday (Nov. 5, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

She was born Aug. 29, 1906, in Lawton, Okla., the daughter of Charles and Jessie (Schureman) Bryant. On June 22, 1926, in Winfield, Kan., she married Ray Quincey, who died in 1983.

Mrs. Quincey was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1972 from California.

She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church (Episcopal) of Jacksonville.

Mrs. Quincey enjoyed fishing and playing bridge, especially playing cards at the Medford Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include a son, James Quincy, Medford; a daughter, Dolly Adkins, Elkton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Searles and Marcella Rose Quincey.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Emily I. Telecky

The graveside service for Emily I. Telecky will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. The memorial service will follow at the First Assembly of God in White City. Pastor Skip Day will officiate.

Mrs. Telecky, 77, of Central Point, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

She was born April 22, 1923, in Melrose, Idaho, the daughter of Sylvan and Ida Miller. On Sept. 19, 1951, in Washougal, Wash., she married Stanley O. Telecky, who survives.

Mrs. Telecky was a registered nurse for many years. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1987 from Washington.

She was a member of the White City Assembly of God.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four sons, Lynn Buckingham, Bellingham, Wash., David Telecky, San Diego, Daniel Telecky, Central Point, and John Telecky, Eagle Point; two daughters, Sylvia Meinecke, Central Point, and Debra Sato, Tokyo; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at 550 Business Park Drive, Medford.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.
