'Jo' Mattheisen
Blanche "Jo" Mattheisen, 77, of Central Point, died Friday (April 21, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born June 25, 1922, in Rajahmundry, India, a daughter of George and Blanche (Capemechurst) Milne. She completed two years of college.
On Jan. 25, 1947, in Washington, she married B.R. "Ron" Mattheisen, who survives. She moved to Oregon in 1947.
Mrs. Mattheisen was a clerical worker in banking.
She was a member of the English War Brides.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Mark, Central Point; one grandson; and one granddaughter.

Magnus Birger Aske
Magnus Birger Aske, 91, of Medford, died Sunday (April 23, 2000) at a local foster home. A private service has been held.

He was born Jan. 9, 1909, in Norway.
Mr. Aske was a contractor in residential home building. He moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from Healdsburg, Calif.
He was a member of the Lutheran church. He played the piano and the accordion.
Mr. Aske was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and his garden, especially his roses.
Survivors include four sons, Roger, Norman and Karl Aske, all in Washington, and Richard Andrews, in Oregon; two daughters, Maria Aske Stanley, Paso Robles, Calif., and Eve Aske Hager, Orlando, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Leonard Charles Gray
Leonard Charles Gray, 88, of Medford, died April 12, 2000 at his home. No service is planned. Private interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
He was born July 2, 1911, in Rex, Wash. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1968 from Washington.
Mr. Gray worked in the farming business.
Survivors include a sister, Elowise Caldwell, Medford.

William E. Chapman
William E. Chapman, 85, of Ashland, died Monday (April 24, 2000) at Ashland Community Hospital. No service is planned.
He was born Aug. 8, 1914, in Fort Wayne, Ind., a son of Harry and Regina James.
On July 8, 1942, in Amityville, N.Y., he married Lucille Holzworth, who survives. They moved to Ashland in 1978 from Lompoc, Calif.
Mr. Chapman served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, attaining the rank of master sergeant.
He was a member of the Ashland Elks Lodge.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Larry W., Seattle; a brother, Clyde Dalman, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.

Francine D. Hagar
Francine D. Hagar, 75, of Gold Hill, died Sunday (April 23, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born May 24, 1924, in Commerce, Okla., and was raised in Oklahoma.
On Dec. 24, 1941, in Reno, Nev., she married Glenn Hagar, who survives. They moved to Grants Pass from Harbor in 1986, and to Gold Hill six years ago.
Mrs. Hagar was a member of the Emblem Club.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a brother, Bob Crabtree, Shreveport, La.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Glennie Smith, in 1993.

Leon Roshier Jenny
The memorial service for Leon Roshier Jenny will be at noon Friday at Table Rock Fellowship. Pastor Thomas Sabin will officiate.
Mr. Jenny, 29, of Medford, died Sunday (April 23, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born March 22, 1971, in Sunnyvale, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Sunnyvale in 1980.
On May 21, 1994, in TouVelle Park, he married Rebecca Sweat-Neuenschwander, who survives.
Mr. Jenny worked for Tyco International in White City.
He was a Christian.
Mr. Jenny enjoyed golf, outdoor activities, ATVs and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Tryston, Medford; his parents, Steve and Coleen Jenny, Medford; a brother, Jesse, Medford; and his grandparents, Robert and Mary Jean Gerrard, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Alice Jenny, Concord, Calif.

Catherine Raucher
Catherine Raucher, 74, of Ashland, died Tuesday (April 25, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Dec. 1, 1925, in Cleveland.
Ms. Raucher worked as a bank clerk in California. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from California.
She enjoyed music, reading and helping others.
Survivors include three brothers, Joseph Raucher, Medford, Jake Raucher, in Ohio, and Bernard Raucher, in Michigan. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Edward Emert Escher
Edward Emert Escher, 83, of Medford, died Wednesday (April 26, 2000) at Rogue Valley Manor Health Center. No service is planned.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Escher; a son, John; and a daughter, Barbara Escher.
