Charlett N. Schenone

The memorial service for Charlett Nyleen Schenone will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in Reno, Nev.

Mrs. Schenone, 54, of Reno, Nev., formerly of Ashland, died Friday (May 19, 2000) at Washoe Medical Center in Reno.

She was born April 12, 1946, in Reedley, Calif., a daughter of Frank "Bob" and Wanda (Tucker) Dollarhide. She was a student at Truckee Meadows Community College. She moved to Reno from Ashland 25 years ago.

Mrs. Schenone was a PBX operator for a commercial telephone company in Reno. Nev.

She was a member of the Catholic church.

Survivors, include her husband, Richard, Reno, Nev.; her mother, Wanda Dollarhide, in Oregon; three sisters, Margret Cunnie, in Oregon, Bonnie Dollarhide, Reno, Nev., and Marilyn Mosley, in Idaho.; and three brothers, Russ, Jerry and Mike Dollarhide, all in Oregon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Faye, in 1946; her father, Frank "Bob, " in 1968; and a brother, Robert, in 1998.

Arrangements: Northern Nevada Memorial Cremation & Burial Society, Reno, Nev.

Russell Burnell Lentz

The funeral for Russell Burnell Lentz will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Eagle Point. Pastors Gene Ludwig and Ron Norris will officiate. The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Lentz, 55, of Shady Cove, died Monday (May 22, 2000) at his home.

He was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Oakland, Calif., a son of Elmer and Mary Ann (Stinsen) Lentz. He attended school in Oakland, Calif., graduating from Castlemont High School in 1962. He attended Shasta Junior College in Redding, Calif., for two years, and later attended Diablo Community College in Mount Diablo, Calif.

On Sept. 7, 1963, in Oakland, Calif., he married Judy Eileen Lubben, who survives.

Mr. Lentz was a journeyman carpenter for several years in California. In 1981, they moved to McMinnville, where Mr. Lentz worked for John Deere Tractor for nine years, and then worked for auto dealerships. They moved to Shady Cove in 1998, where he and his wife owned and operated a mobile home/RV park.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Lentz was a past member of the Braids & Braves Square Dancing Club and the Elks Club, both in McMinnville.

He enjoyed large motor boats, which he refinished, used and sold. He also enjoyed the water.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Shelly E. Chatman, Shady Cove; a son, David B. Lentz, McMinnville; his mother and stepfather, Mary Ann and Milton May, Shady Cove; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer B., in 1992.

Friends may pay their respects from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Eagle Point.

Lila E. Kline

The funeral for Lila E. Kline will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Friends Church in Medford. Pastor Mark Burton will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.

Mrs. Kline, 81, of Medford, died Monday (May 22, 2000) in Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501, or the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, Hospice, 691 Murphy Road, Suite 236, Medford, OR 97504.

She was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Mesa, Idaho. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1930, and attended Medford Senior High School.

On June 4, 1938, in Medford, she married Boyd C. Kline, who survives.

Mrs. Kline was a homemaker. She also sorted pears at local packing plants until 1964.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading murder mysteries, spending time with her family and friends and keeping up on current affairs.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Curtis M., Medford; two daughters, Sandra Welburn, Medford, and Kathy Saxbury, Central Point; two sisters, Delora VanHorn, Medford, and Delores Young, Portland; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Cox; and two brothers, Roy and Vernon Lay.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Carol L. Hill

The memorial service for Carol Louise Hill will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3822 Crater Lake Ave. Mike Starr will officiate.

Mrs. Hill, 86, of Medford, died Tuesday (May 23, 2000) at her home at Farmington Square in Medford.

She was born June 2, 1913, in Offerman, Ga., a daughter of Dr. Tyler Dewitt and Kathryn Louise Jones. She attended school in Sanford, Fla.

On Aug. 10, 1930, in Sanford, Fla., she married John Hallman Hill, who died in 1985. They moved to Oregon in 1946 from Daytona Beach, Fla.

Mrs. Hill worked as a medical receptionist in Daytona Beach, Fla. They later owned Courtesy Yellow Cab, where she worked as a dispatcher.

She enjoyed music, gardening and spending time with friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Mahaffey Russell and Donna Kaye Halley; a sister, Marion Peckham, Bartow, Fla; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Arrangements will be announced by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Gary Conrad Bergstrom

The funeral for Gary Conrad Bergstrom will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Methodist Church in Medford. The Rev. Carl Meyers will officiate.

Mr. Bergstrom, 58, of Ruch, died Monday (May 22, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Crater Lake Ave., Suite 10, Medford, OR 97504, or the Free Methodist Church, 1294 S. Peach St., Medford, OR 97501.

He was born Jan. 3, 1942, in Minneapolis.

On Feb. 22, 1964, in Edina, Minn., he married Lorene J. Jensen, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Pendleton in 1976.

Mr. Bergstrom worked for the U.S. Forest Service from 1965 until his retirement in 1995.

He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Medford.

Mr. Bergstrom enjoyed fly fishing, machining, metal detecting and traveling.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Thor, Medford; two daughters, Cally Boaz, Ruch, and Cari Krebs, Corvallis; his parents, Lucille and Edward Brandt, Bella Vista, Ark.; three brothers, Lynn Bergstrom, White Bear Lake, Minn., James Brandt, Eagan, Minn., and Jack Brandt, New Castle, Ind.; two sisters, Joanie Kelly, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Jeanie Brown, Oakland, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Brandt.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Randy Mark Meyers

A celebration of the life of Randy Mark Meyers will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Mr. Meyers, 41, of Medford, died Tuesday (May 23, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Oregon Chapter, 6501 S.W. Macadam Ave., Portland, OR 97201.

He was born July 16, 1958, in Freeport, Ill.

On Oct. 26, 1996, in Reno, Nev., he married Anne Marie Gould, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1970 from California.

Mr. Meyers worked in automotive paint sales for Crater Auto. He also worked at Hobby Tree.

He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, model trains and riding motorcycles.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his parents, Richard and Donna Meyers, Medford; a sister, Sally Varin, Medford; and a brother, Jeffrey Meyers, Medford.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Lunday 'George' Orr

The funeral for Lunday "George" Orr will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park. Bishop Roger Hall of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Medford 6th Ward, will officiate.

Mr. Orr, 89, of Medford, died Sunday (May 21, 2000) at his home.

He was born July 12, 1910, in Long Beach, Wash.

On May 15, 1947, in Eugene, he married Hortense Oakden, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1959 from Eugene.

Mr. Orr was a meat cutter.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Orr was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he held many positions.

He enjoyed fishing, scuba diving and building kayaks.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Lucille Weisbeck, Billings, Mont., and Connie Fletcher, Mesa, Ariz.; three sons, George, Bellevue, Wash., Richard, Columbia, Md., and Dale, Portland; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

Friends may pay their respects one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
