Isaac `Lee-Ike' Pitts
The funeral for Isaac "Lee-Ike" Pitts will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Pitts, 77, of Trail, died Saturday (Dec. 11, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Houston.
On May 19, 1962, in La Puente, Calif., he married Eleanor Franklin, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from California 11 years ago.
Mr. Pitts was a diesel mechanic for 37 years.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the African-European theater and participated in the Philippines liberation. His awards include decorations for American Defense and for the Asiatic-Pacific theater.
Mr. Pitts enjoyed gardening, building and his home.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Elaine Blevins, Eagle Point, Debra Adams, Cucamonga, Calif., and Lynda Geyer, Navarre, Fla.; a son, Jerry Best, McMinnville; his mother, Betty Pitts, Trail; two brothers, Chuck, Trail and Norman, Jacksonville; a sister, Anita, Trail; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Lea Pitts, in 1962.
Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
Nancy Louise Riggert
Nancy Louise Riggert, 67, of Medford, died Sunday (Dec. 12, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.
She was born July 16, 1932, in Lakeside, Wash., a daughter of H. Otto and Gerda Maesse. She graduated from Phoenix High School and lived in the Rogue Valley most of her life.
On Dec. 18, 1954, in Phoenix, she married Orville H. Riggert, who survives.
Mrs. Riggert was a supervisor in the shipping department at Harry & David for 25 years, retiring in 1995.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Cathleen D. Riggert, Jacksonville; a son, Ryan V., Phoenix; her mother, Gerda Maesse, Phoenix; a brother, Richard Maesse, Phoenix; a sister, Doris Clower, Phoenix.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel, Medford.
Martin Albin Jorde
Martin Albin Jorde, 83, of Arizona, formerly of Medford, died Nov. 29, 1999, at La Paz Regional Hospital in Parker, Ariz. A memorial service was held in Quartzsite, Ariz. A local memorial service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery at a later date.
He was born May 10, 1916, in Thief River Falls, Minn., a son of Emma and Carl Jorde.
Mr. Jorde was a carpenter until his retirement. He spent many years living and working in the Rogue Valley.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Medford.
Survivors include his wife, Burnie, Othello, Wash.; two sons, Kenneth, Salem, and Steven, Redmond, Wash.; a daughter, Janice Smeltz, Reno, Nev.; three brothers; three sisters; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Lila, who died in 1990.

Bruce M. Leverette
Bruce Milton Leverette, 78, of Medford, died Dec. 7, 1999, in Medford. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born June 4, 1921, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He graduated from Medford High School and from the University of Oregon in Eugene. He lived in the Rogue Valley most of his life.
Mr. Leverette worked for Orchard Park Farms. He also did television repair in the Rogue Valley.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Leverette enjoyed music, politics and reading.
Survivors include two sisters, Doreen Vaughan and Jeanne Reum, both Medford.

Katherine M. Donahue
The memorial service for Katherine M. Donahue will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Central Valley Chapel. The Rev. William McHugh of Our Lady of Fatima Church will officiate.
Mrs. Donahue, 83, of Eagle Point, died Wednesday (Dec. 8, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born Katherine Manderscheid on March 7, 1916, in Sioux City, Iowa.
On July 19, 1957, in Thompson Falls, Mont., she married Robert A. Donahue, who died in 1991. She lived in the Rogue Valley for 25 years.
Mrs. Donahue was a homemaker.
She attended Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Mrs. Donahue enjoyed playing pool, bingo and bunco.
She is survived by a niece, Betty Coshsier, in California.

Ruth Magerle
The memorial service for Ruth Magerle will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rogue Valley Community Church, Rogue River.
Mrs. Magerle, 74, of Klamath Falls, formerly of Rogue River, died Wednesday (Dec. 8, 1999) in Klamath Falls.
Arrangements: Eternal Hill, Klamath Falls.
Jack Petersen
A private family service is planned for Jack Edward Petersen, with interment to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park in Sacramento, Calif.
Mr. Petersen, 77, of Medford, died Saturday (Dec. 11, 1999) at a Medford nursing home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Los Angeles City Firemen's Relief Association, Widows and Orphans Fund, P.O. Box 26920, Los Angeles, CA 90026.
Mr. Petersen was born on Sept. 25, 1922 in Los Angeles, Calif.
He retired as a captain after working for the Los Angeles City Fire Department for 33 years. Mr. Petersen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. A fan of backpacking, camping and skiing, Mr. Petersen was a member of the Sierra Club and the National Ski Patrol.
He also volunteered as an employee assistance representative for the firefighter's union.
Mr. Petersen moved to Oregon in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Petersen-Smith, Citrus Heights, Calif., and Susan Gregersen of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a son, Lawrence Edward Petersen of Simi Valley, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Thorvald Petersen.
