Cyril E. `Cy' Jones

The funeral for Cyril E. "Cy" Jones will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church, Ashland. Pastor Michael Powell will officiate.

Mr. Jones, 83, of Medford, died Nov. 22, 1999, at Medford Rehabilitation Center.

Arrangements: Litwiller-Simonsen Crematory & Funeral Home, Ashland.

Arlo `Bud' G. Giffin

The graveside service for Arlo "Bud" Gorman Giffin will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Skip Day of the White City Assembly of God will officiate.

Mr. Giffin, 66, of White City, died Nov. 24, 1999, at his home.

He was born March 7, 1933, in Grand Junction, Colo, a son of Arlo Gorman and Esther Elizabeth (Holt) Giffin.

In May 1969, in Reno, Nev., he married Berta Marie Crippen, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1958 from Van Nuys, Calif.

Mr. Giffin owned and operated Rogue Valley Landscaping in the 1960s. In the '70s and '80s, he worked for Steve's Music and Vending in Talent, until retiring in 1989.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Douglas, Medford, and David Jackson, Trail; five daughters, Steffani Giffin, Medford, Darla May Knudson, Oroville, Calif., Ellen Jean, Ventura, Calif., Kathy L. Irvin, Reseda, Calif., and Arla Rene, Boise, Idaho; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Radford, in 1990.

Connie Lee Robertson

The memorial service for Connie Lee Robertson will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Mortuary in Medford.

Mrs. Robertson, 52, of Talent, died Sunday (Nov. 28, 1999) at her home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1947, in Ashland, a daughter of Lester L. and Edith (Russell) Price. She lived in the Rogue Valley her entire life.

On March 13, 1973, in Reno, Nev., she married Danny Ray Robertson, who survives.

Mrs. Robertson was a homemaker.

She enjoyed traveling and working with plants.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Bob Vick, Central Point; a daughter, Robin Reardon, Lebanon, Ind.; five brothers, Tom Price, Sams Valley, Jerry Price, Talent, L. Dewayne Price, Ashland, Garland Meiser, Seattle, and Stan Dillon, Reno, Nev.; three sisters, Linda Smith, White City, Yvonne Baker, Reno, Nev., and Betty Martinez, Dixon, Calif.; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester L. Price and Edith (Russell) Dillon.

Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Mortuary.

Euna Mae Annis

The graveside service for Euna Mae Annis will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mrs. Annis, 83, of Medford, died Monday (Nov. 29, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

Friends may pay their respects from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, 550 Business Park Drive, Medford.

Harvey Rowden

Harvey Rowden, 84, of Jacksonville, died Friday (Nov. 26, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service was held. Interment was in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.

He was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Midland. He attended Ruch Elementary School and lived in the Rogue Valley his entire life.

On Nov. 9, 1946, in Reno, Nev., he married Grace Mildred Youmans, who survives.

Mr. Rowden was a millworker and Hyster driver for Timber Products and Medco, retiring in 1972.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Rowden enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Arthur Malcolm, Medford, and Thayern, San Diego; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, James and John.

Marcia Lyn Olmiccia

The memorial service for Marcia Lyn Olmiccia will be at 7 p.m. today in Trinity Episcopal Church in Ashland. The Rev. Cliff Blinman will officiate.

Ms. Olmiccia, 44, of Talent, died Saturday (Nov. 27, 1999) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, Hospice, 691 Murphy Road, Suite 236, Medford, OR 97504.

She was born Nov. 11, 1955, in Glendale, Calif., and raised in Hawaii.

Ms. Olmiccia was a Shiatsu therapist in San Francisco. She moved to the Rogue Valley from San Francisco one year ago.

She served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

Ms. Olmiccia was a member of St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church of San Francisco.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Joan and Emil Donato, Talent; her father and stepmother, Rene and Irene Olmiccia, Honolulu; three brothers, Emil Donato, Medford, Gonzalo Gonzalez, Belton, Texas, and Dennis Donato, Riverside, Calif.; three sisters, Karen Mitchell, Honolulu, Lisa Erico, Austin, Texas, and Catherine Donato, Riverside, Calif.

Sharon Luther

Sharon Luther, 52, of Talent, died Saturday (Nov. 27, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford. No service is planned.

She was born Sharon Lee on Sept. 5, 1947, in Burbank, Calif.

Ms. Lee was a dispatcher for a towing company.

She enjoyed reading and computers.

Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Luther, Talent; and her parents, Robert E. and Delores Lee, Ashland.

Kenneth Donald Lusk

The memorial service for Kenneth Donald Lusk will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church in Medford. Dr. Bill McDonald will officiate.

Mr. Lusk, 78, of Central Point, died Friday (Nov. 26, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 8725 N.E. Sandy Blvd., Portland, OR 97220.

He was born May 27, 1921, in Cedarville, Calif. He moved to Oregon in 1945.

On May 9, 1956, in Portland, he married Marjorie Jean McCleary, who died in 1997.

Mr. Lusk owned the Medford Meat Market. He was a meat cutter.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a prisoner of war for three years and 8 1/2 months in Japan.

Mr. Lusk was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Cedar Links Golf Course and was the club champion at Oak Knoll in Ashland during the 1950s.

Survivors include a son, Scott, Medford; four daughters, Cindy Barnes, Central Point, Charleen Kay Lusk, Corning, Calif., Christine Stickney, Long Beach, Calif., and Kristin Martin, Lynnwood, Wash.; a brother, Floyd, Manteca, Calif.; a sister, Marian Jemin, Modesto, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
