William H. `Bill' Honnold

William H. "Bill" Honnold, 75, of of Medford died Tuesday, (Sept. 26, 1999) in Lakeview. No service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Flights Inc., 914 Main St., Medford, OR 97501 or to a favorite charity.

He was born Sept. 8, 1924 in Lakeview, a son of Austin and Hallie Morris Honnold.

Mr. Honnold attended the University of Oregon and Oregon State College.

During World War II, he served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy.

On June 16, 1976, at the John Dick Ranch in Valley Falls, he married Joan Bennett, who survives.

They moved to Medford from Reno, Nev., in 1978.

Mr. Honnold served as a civilian pilot during the Vietnam War. He flew for 55 years, until his recent retirement from Pacific Flights.

He enjoyed playing tennis and the outdoors.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Susan Bittner, Central Point, and Kathy Ashford, Lakeview; three sons, Scott Bennett, Central Point, Bob Blair, Klamath Falls, and Jack Blair, Pocatello, Idaho; one brother; four sisters; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Arrangements: Desert Rose Funeral Chapel, Lakeview.

Lula B. Wall

The funeral for Lula B. Wall will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Conger-Morris Chapel, Medford. Pastor Bill Turnbull will officiate. A graveside service will follow in Sterlingville Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Mrs. Wall, 94, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday (Sept. 28, 1999) in Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Church, 520 N. 5th Street, Jacksonville, OR 97530.

She was born Lula B. Johnson on Oct. 25, 1904 in Paris, Ark.

On April 15, 1923 in Paris, she married Jesse "Carl" Wall, who died in 1959.

They moved to Oregon in 1935 from Arkansas, and to the Rogue Valley in 1940.

Mrs. Wall and her husband owned and operated a logging business. She also worked as a caretaker and was seasonally employed by Bear Creek Corp.

She was a member of the Calvary Church in Jacksonville.

Survivors include two sons, Russell, Central Point, and Gilbert, Talent; a daughter, Carlene Severson, Kennewick, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clinton, and a granddaughter, Jody Wilcox.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Conger Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

John Leland Neeley

The memorial service for John Leland Neeley will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Pastor Bob Friend of the Christian Church of Ashland will Officiate.

Mr. Neeley, 67, of Ashland died Sept. 17, 1999 from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident.

He was born Nov. 24, 1931 in Santa Monica, Calif.

From 1952 to 1954 he served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a son, Thomas; a daughter, Debra Sosa; a brother, Thomas, of Springfield; and a sister, Betty.

Arrangements: Litwiller-Simonsen Crematory and Funeral Home, Ashland.

Lewis Williamsen

The graveside service for Lewis Williamsen will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the the Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Williamsen, 81, of Cottage Grove, formerly of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 24, 1999), at his home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The George Miller Scholarship Fund of Sacred Heart School, 431 S. Ivy, Medford, OR 97501.

He was born April 30, 1918, in Mount Vernon, Wash., a son of Roy and Rose Williamsen.

On May 7, 1959, in Gold Beach, he married Geraldine Ellis, who survives. They resided in the the Rogue Valley from 1979 to 1991.

Mr. Williamsen was a commercial fisherman and later a logger.

During World War II, he served in the South Pacific.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking and family vacations.

Mr. Williamsen was a former member of the First Christian Church and the Elks in Brookings. He was a member of the VFW, and a former member of the "I'll Drink to That CB Club."

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Vickie Worlton and Candy Dover, both of Cottage Grove; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Buell Chapel Inc., Springfield.

William Ernie Hand

The memorial service for William Ernie Hand will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Upper Rogue Full Gospel Fellowship, 995 Stevens Road, Eagle Point. Pastor Wilber Boatwright of the Upper Rogue Full Gospel Fellowship will officiate. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Hand, 48, of Shady Cove, died Monday (Sept. 27, 1999) at his home.

Memorial contributions may be to the Upper Rogue Full Gospel Fellowship, 955 Stevens Road, Eagle Point, Or. 97524

He was born Oct. 12, 1950 in Fairfield, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1989.

On Jan. 12, 1995 in Reno, Nev., he married Deborah K. Hammontree, who survives.

Mr. Hand served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

He was a member of the Upper Rogue Full Gospel Fellowship.

Mr. Hand enjoyed fishing.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Jammey Hand, Chico, Calif.; a son, Bill Ernie Hand, Orville, Calif.; his parents, Leonard and Shirley Hand, Napa, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Julie Ann Morgan

The graveside service for Julie Ann Morgan will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.

Ms. Morgan, 48, of Medford, died Monday (Sept. 27, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 27, 1951 at Delphos, Ohio. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1979 from San Jose, Calif.

Ms. Morgan was a manager in the dry cleaning and laundry business.

She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and collecting.

Survivors include three sons, Jason, Rick and Mike, all of Medford; a daughter, Nicole, Medford; her parents, Richard and Ruth Morgan, Manteca, Calif.; two brothers, Dan, San Jose, Calif. and Jim, Milpitas, Calif.; three sisters, Annette Medlin, Campbell, Calif., and Sue Allgood and Cathy Gilbert, both of Manteca, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives.

Majorie J. Pearson

The memorial service for Marjorie J. Pearson will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Lithia Park Bandshell, Ashland. The Revs. Ross Knotts and Bill McDonald of First United Methodist Church will officiate.

Mrs. Pearson, 73, of Medford, died Monday, (Sept. 27, 1999) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Center, Inc., Sight, Hearing and Diabetic Foundation, 228 N. Holly St. Medford, OR 97501

She was born Marjorie J. Eliason Feb. 14, 1926 in Ashland. She was raised in Alberta, Canada and returned to the Rogue Valley in 1952.

On July 2, 1967 in Carson City, Nev., she married Wes Pearson, who survives.

Mrs. Pearson worked for 10 years as a certified antique appraiser.

She was a member of the Crater Lions Club, the Antique Button Club, the First United Methodist Church and the Women's Circle Club at the church.

She enjoyed antiques, gardening, travel and nature.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Linda Monroe, Shirley Ferguson and Carla Pearson; two sons, Dwight Epps and Steve Pearson; a sister, Barbara Berger; a brother, Charles Eliason; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Service, Medford.
