Bonnie G. Brock

Bonnie Geoghegan Brock, 92, of Medford, died Wednesday (March 31, 1999) at her home. Inurnment will be in Vero Beach, Fla.

She was born Bonnie Geoghegan on April 24, 1906, in Atlanta, Ga. She attended schools there and was a deputy clerk of the Superior Court there for many years.

During World War II, she moved to Miami to work for the U.S. Navy Supply Corps Depot.

In 1945, in Miami, she married Fred Brock, who preceded her in death.

Following the war, Mrs. Brock went to work for Eastern Airlines in the medical department. She moved to Vero Beach after her retirement. She moved to Medford in 1993.

In Albany, she was a charter member of the Business & Professional Women's Club. After her move to Miami, she continued her membership and served as an officer. In Vero Beach, she was active with the Women's Democratic Club.

Survivors include a sister, Nannien G. Murray, Medford.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.

Ron A. White

Ron A. White, 61, of White City, died Wednesday (March 31, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born May 17, 1937, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

On Sept. 20, 1963, in Las Vegas, he married Beverly Fremming, who survives. He moved to Oregon from California in 1972.

Mr. White was a maintenance worker at a local motel.

He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper.

Mr. White enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a stepson, Bill White, Central Point; a sister, JoAnn Rogde, White City; and one grandchild.

E. Leslie Kehoe

E. Leslie Kehoe, 82, of Medford, died Thursday (April 1, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born Sept. 15, 1916, in Sacramento, Calif.

On Nov. 21, 1965, in Carson City, Nev., he married Edna M. Penner, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1972.

Mr. Kehoe was a construction superintendent.

He was a member of the UNCI Motor Club.

Mr. Kehoe enjoyed woodworking and riding motorcycles.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Leslie Nunez, Junction City, and Kathy Ragan, Littlerock, Calif.; two sons, Rod Beiter, Buckeye, Ariz., and Terry Beiter, Independence, Kan.; a brother, Robert, Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Inc., Medford.

Renee Snider

The memorial service for Renee Kristine Snider will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Eastwood Baptist Church, 675 N. Keeneway Drive, Medford.

Miss Snider, 31, formerly of Medford, died Thursday (April 1, 1999) at her Seattle home after a long illness.

Memorial contributions may be made to the SMART Reading Program, 670 Superior Court, Medford, OR 97501, or to C.A.T.S., 104 N. Ross Lane, Medford, OR 97501.

Ms. Snider was born June 30, 1967 in Palo Alto, Calif. The family moved to the Rogue Valley, where she graduated from Medford Senior High School. Miss Snider had lived in the Seattle area for the past 14 years.

She held a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash., and a master's degree in library and information science from the University of Washington in Seattle. She recently worked for the Seattle Public Library and Barnes & Noble Booksellers. She was active in Powerful Choices, a women's self-defense organization. Ms. Snider enjoyed cats, music, books and children.

Survivors include her father, John Snider, of Rogue River; her mother Suzy Snider of Phoenix; a sister, Robin Snider of Medford; and maternal grandparents Ken and Alice Thompson of Lake Oswego.

Mary Young

A memorial service for Mary Elizabeth Young will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 649 Crater Lake Ave., Medford. Interment will follow at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.

Mrs. Young, 85, of Medford, died Friday (April 2, 1999) at her home.

She was born Mary Elizabeth Russell on Oct. 8, 1913, in Granum, Alberta, Canada. On Nov. 11, 1938, in Stavely, Alberta, she married Phillip Clair Young, who died in 1972. The couple moved to the Rogue Valley in 1945.

Mrs. Young was an active member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Young of Bend, William Young of Sacramento, Calif., and Jack Young of Portland; a daughter, Betty Peters of Bigfork, Mont.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

William A. Francis

The funeral for William A. "Bill" Francis will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Perl Funeral Home Siskiyou Chapel, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford. Bishop Roger Hall of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate. Interment will follow later in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Mr. Francis, 73, of Medford, died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation Coronary Care Unit, 2900 E. Barnett Road, Medford, OR 97501.

Mr. Francis was born Dec. 20, 1925, in Tacoma, Wash. On Nov. 11, 1954, in Palos Hills, Ill., he married Constance Bartlett, who survives.

Mr. Francis served as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army during World War II. The family moved to the Rogue Valley from Chicago in 1976. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four daughters, Wendy Francis of Medford, Sally Montgomery of Central Point, Susan Felt of Sacramento, Calif., and Linda Whitaker of Salt Lake City; and five grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Siskiyou Chapel of Perl Funeral Services.

Frank A. Douglas

The memorial service for Frank Allen Douglas will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Road, Medford. Jim Larsen of Rogue Valley Christian Fellowship will officiate.

Mr. Douglas, 81, of Medford died Friday (April 2, 1999).

He was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Millboro, S.D. On Oct. 6, 1943, in Millboro, he married Nellie Lucille Nipper, who survives.

Mr. Douglas was raised by a farming family; during the Depression, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and built irrigation for farming and agriculture. When the family moved to the Rogue Valley in 1940, Mr. Douglas went to work for Medford Corp., where he worked for nearly 40 years as foreman for the Medford dry kiln. He was a member of the Oregon and West Coast Dry Kiln Association. He retired in 1980.

Mr. Douglas was a drummer who often played during weekend dances; he was especially fond of big band and country music. He and his wife traveled extensively, and he enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing and family gatherings.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, James and Gerald of Medford; a sister, Kathryn Zimmerlee of Medford; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501, for breast cancer research.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.

Frank A. Douglas

Frank A. Douglas, 81, of Medford, died Friday (April 2, 1999) in Medford.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Mortuary.

Arrangements will be announced by Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford.

Evelyn Louise Smith

The memorial service for Evelyn Louise Smith will be at 2 p.m. on May 15 in Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Chaplin Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.

Ms. Smith, 62, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 27, 1999) at her home.

She was born Evelyn Gutschmidt on May 24, 1936, in Portland. She moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from Spray.

Ms. Smith was a long haul truck driver.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and gardening.

Survivors include a son, Paul Wycoff, Talent; four daughters, Julia Harmon, Medford, Dayna Foster, White City, Renee Pace, Portland, and Donna Johnson, Hope, Idaho; a brother, Donald Gutschmidt, Eureka, Calif.; a sister, Virginia Woodward, Nehalen; and eight grandchildren.

Arrangements: Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford.
