Irene Jensen

The memorial Mass for Irene Jensen will be at noon Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Mark Cach will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Mrs. Jensen, 84, of Medford, died Thursday (Feb. 5, 1998) in Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. vincent De Paul, P.O. Box 1663, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Irene Marie Sonsalla on March 2, 1913, in Golva, N.D.

On Feb. 6, 1940, in Van Nuys, Calif., she married Nenford C. Jensen, who died in December 1994. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1962 from Southern California.

Mrs. Jensen was an active participant in the activities at the Medford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She enjoyed playing bingo there.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholci Church and for a number of years of a Jackson County Home Extension Unit.

Survivors include a son, Richard A., Medford; a daughter, Veena E. Delaney, Central Point; a brother, Roy Sonalla, Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary of Medford.

David T. McPeake III

The memorial graveside service for David Thomas McPeake III will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. McPeake, 37, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (Feb. 5, 1998) in Grants Pass.

He was born July 14, 1960, in Groton, Mass.

On Oct. 20, 1990, in Groveland, Calif., he married Dianna Renfro, who survives. They moved to the Grants Pass area three years ago from Northern Idaho.

He was an interstate truck driver and enjoyed woodworking, camping, and traveling.

Mr. McPeake served in the U.S. Army in the early 1980s.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Jeffrey and Nicholas, both Grants Pass; a daughter, Jennifer McPeake, Grants Pass; his mother, Elizabeth Ewen, Groveland; his father and step-mother, David Thomas Jr. and Lina McPeake, Eastsound, Wash.; three brothers, Daniel in Nevada, Michael in North Carolina, and Rob Ewen, Groveland; four sisters, Mona Gaskill, Sonora, Calif., Michelle Ewen, Sacramento, Calif., and Lisa Ewen and Joanna Ewen, both Groveland.

Arrangements: Grants Pass Funeral Alternatives.

Frank LeMaster

The memorial service for Franklin "Frank" Edward LeMaster will be held in Denver, Colo. A private service will be held on Burrows Island, Wash.

Mr. LeMaster, 57, of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 2, 1998) in Medford.

He was born Feb. 9, 1940, in Denver, and moved to Medford 10 years ago from Temple City, Calif.

He owned and operated Frank's Airless, a spray painting equipment sales, repair, and rental business in Medford.

Mr. LeMaster served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1958 to 1963.

He was a member of the National Federation of Independent Businesses. He enjoyed skiing, fishing, and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne M. LeMaster-Gay and Curtis Jon LeMaster-Gay, both Snohomish, Wash.; a daughter, Laurie Alice LeMaster-Gay, Philadelphia; his mother, Alice LeMaster, Denver; five brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren. A son, Cary Scott LeMaster-Gay, died in 1989; and his father, Everett Printer LeMaster, in 1957.

Connie Dietrich

The funeral for Constance "Connie" Ruth Dietrich will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Southern Baptist Church, Medford. Pastor Richard Doig will officiate. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Dietrich, 99, of Central Point, died Thursday (Feb. 5, 1998) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Southern Baptist Church, Building Fund, 794 Lozier Lane, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Constance Ruth Haas on Sept. 2, 1898, in Bristol, R.I.

In 1944 in Boston, she married Carl W. Dietrich, who preceded her in death. They moved to the Rogue Valley 28 years ago from Pasadena, Calif.

In Pasadena, she was a secretary for Metropolitan Life Insurance.

Mrs. Dietrich was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Medford. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling.

Survivors include two nephews, Robert Hopkins, Medford, and John Haas, in California; and two nieces, Susan Egner and Renee McGuire, both in California. Two sisters, Mina U. Haas and Marion E. Hopkins; and a brother, Ira J. Haas, preceded her in death.

Margaret E. Ramsey

Margaret Elizabeth Ramsey, 75, of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 2, 1998) at her home. No service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

She was born July 19, 1922, in Bearcreek, Mont.

In Billings, Mont., she married Harold Ramsey, who preceded her in death.

During World War II, Mrs. Ramsey worked for Naval Intelligence in various clerical positions. Later she was a music teacher at the Conservatory of Music in Spokane, Wash.

Mrs. Ramsey enjoyed cooking, gardening, and playing the accordion, piano and organ.

Survivors include two sons, James Napier, Medford, and Blaine Cameron, Prineville; a sister, Dorothy Jorgenson, Billings; and two granddaughters.

Edward L. Durrett

The memorial service for Edward L. Durrett, the "Balloon Man" at Rogue Valley Medical Center for many years, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Meadows Community Center, 555 Freeman Road, Central Point. The Revs. Joe McMahon and John Braund will officiate. Members of the Medford Elks Lodge also will participate.

Mr. Durrett, 79, died Tuesday (Feb. 3, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, Hospice, 2825 E. Barnett Road, Medford, OR 97504 or Elks Lodge, Children's Charities, 202 N. Central Ave., Medford, OR 97501.

He was born March 29, 1918, in Los Angeles.

On Nov. 28, 1945, in Los Angeles, he married Stenetta Victoria Auble, who survives. They moved to Oregon in 1989.

Mr. Durrett joined the U.S. Navy prior to World War II and served for eight years.

After the war he held various positions with the Southern California Gas Co.

While in California, he was involved in the construction projects of Methodist churches in Lennox, Whittier, and La Mirada.

An active volunteer at Rogue Valley Medical Center at the time of his death, he served more than 4,000 hours. He gave out thousands of balloons to children visiting the center and was known as the "Balloon Man."

He was one of the first volunteers on the Blood Pressure Team and for many years helped X-ray Halloween candy.

Mr. Durrett volunteered with the Pear Blossom Festival and the Children's Miracle Network Telethon.

He was a YMCA Indian guide leader and a Boy Scouts master. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge transferring to Medford from Whittier.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Dennis Edward, Alvarado, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Waunita `Nita' Morrow

The funeral for Waunita "Nita" Loretta Morrow will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Perl at Siskiyou Chapel, Medford. The Rev. Mark Cach of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Mrs. Morrow, 90, of Talent, died Tuesday (Feb. 3, 1998) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Adult Day Health Center, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

She was born Waunita Blair on May 11, 1907, in Ft. Worth, Texas.

On July 8, 1944, in Santa Ana, Calif., she married Roger C. Morrow, who survives.

After World War II, they moved to Portland where she volunteered at the Tuberculosis Hospital and later at St. Vincent Hospital.

Mrs. Morrow was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She enjoyed interior decorating, knitting, collecting turquoise, and traveling. She always had a cat.

Friends may pay their respects from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Perl at Siskiyou Chapel, Medford.

Michael L. Morehouse

Michael L. Morehouse, 71, of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 4, 1998) at his home. No service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

He was born May 28, 1926, in Boston, Mass., and grew up in New Haven, Conn.

Mr. Morehouse attended Yale University before serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Later he received bachelor of law degree from Northwestern University, Chicago.

Mr. Morehouse was assistant U.S. attorney in Chicago and later in Portland. Beginning in 1973, he was an administrative law judge with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare and later the Department of Interior in Salt Lake City. He retired in 1987.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie; two sons, Samuel H., Portland, and Andrew R., Hayward, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Michelle Neer, Portland, and Mary Fogh, Tacoma, Wash.; a stepson, Larry Neer Jr., San Diego, Calif.; and his former wife, Louise S. Morehouse, Portland. He was preceded in death by a sister.
