Victor C. Haupt Sr. of Lodi, Calif., died May 15. He was 79.
A service was held.
Mr. Haupt was born April 21, 1924, in Vancouver, Wash. He grew up and attended schools in Bend. He graduated from Bend High School in 1943.
He worked in maintenance for the city of Lodi for 14 years. He also worked as a machinist for International Harvester for 14 years.
Mr. Haupt was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church and Lodi Moose Lodge. He was looking forward to attending his 60th high school reunion in Bend this summer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Haupt of Lodi; two sons, Victor Jr. and Mark, both of Lodi; a daughter, Cathy Lauchland of Acampo, Calif.; a stepson, Clark Treiber of Lodi; a stepdaughter, Donna Suomi of West Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Darlene Blair of Lodi; stepbrothers, Leland and Gary Lang, both of Lodi; two stepsisters, Eldora Welch of Colorado and Greta Grimes of Antioch, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, four stepbrothers and two stepsisters.

Sarah Jane Hall of Warm Springs died Tuesday of natural causes. She was 79.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today at Hi Lookee Lodge in Warm Springs.
Mrs. Hall was born March 28, 1924, in Danville, Ill., to William and Nora Adams. She married
Rufus Hall.
She worked as a waitress for Deschutes Crossing Restaurant.
Mrs. Hall enjoyed her work, dogs and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Susie Smith of Warm Springs; a sister, June Sears of Madras; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.

Matthew Matt E. Richartz
Feb. 18, 1956 - May 29, 2003
Matthew Matt E. Richartz of Wilsonville died May 29. He was 47.
A service was held.
Mr. Richartz was born Feb. 18, 1956, in Eureka, Calif., to Walter and Sandra (Moore) Richartz. He was raised and attended schools in Klamath Falls. He attended Central Oregon Community College for two years. He earned a bachelors degree in humanities from Oregon College of Education in Monmouth. He married
Lisa Edgington on March 29, 2002, in Sonoma, Calif.
Mr. Richartz worked as a contract administrator and in marketing for Allied Systems in Sherwood. He later worked for Oregon Iron Works.
His hobbies included playing the guitar, restoring classic cars, traveling and playing golf. He also enjoyed music, bass fishing and duck and pheasant hunting.
Survivors include his wife of Wilsonville; stepdaughter, Danielle Crawford of Wilsonville; his mother, Sandra Hamilton of Sequim, Wash.; three brothers, Dan of Redmond, John of Portland and Mark Hamilton of Reno, Nev.; and a stepsister, Vickie Frazer of Tualatin.

Michael F. Sulsberger of La Pine died Feb. 9 of heart failure. He was 57.
A service was held.
Mr. Sulsberger was born July 7, 1944, in Los Angeles.
He worked for Trimet in Portland and retired in 1994.
Mr. Sulsberger was a member of the 700 Club and Trinity Broadcast Network.
Survivors include his daughter, Janna Oertl-Sulsberger of Portland; and a sister, Janet Barker of La Pine.
