Hemler, Lori A.,
Hemler, Lori A., of Tybee Island, Georgia, for the last 3 years, formerly of Audubon, died Saturday evening, August 2, 2003, at her home after a lengthy illness. Ms. Hemler was born on October 20, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of Richard and Joann E. (Shrader) Hemler. She was 39.
Ms. Helmer was 1982 graduate of Methacton High School. She attended Penn State, Main Campus, and graduated from Philadelphia University in 1989 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked as an accountant at PFPC, a mutual funds service company in Conshohocken for 8 years before moving to Georgia.
Ms. Hemler enjoyed card games and puzzles. She was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed ice hockey, tennis and beach volleyball.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Hemler is survived by her brother, Lynn P. Hemler of Collegeville and by her sister, Lisa McMahon of Phoenixville, by her nephew, Robbie, and by her niece, Miranda, by her paternal grandmother, Mary C. Hemler of Gettysburg, and by many aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass, Saturday, August 9, 2003, 11 A.M., at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Trooper Road, Audubon. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 A.M. Saturday. Entombment will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories.

Kulp, Fritz,
Kulp, Fritz,of New Plymouth, Idaho, formerly of Royersford, Pennsylvania, died July 30, 2003 as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in May. Mr. Kulp was born in Pottstown, a son of Irmgard (Kulp) Gregoire of Spring City. He was 53.
Mr. Kulp graduated from Springford High School. He served as a Fireman in the United States Navy. He was a welder in Idaho until the time of his accident He enjoyed restoring old cars and driving motorcycles. He was a member of the Reading Motorcycle Club and the Snake River Harley Owners Club in Idaho. He attended the Congregational Church of New Plymouth,Idaho.
Mr. Kulp is survived by 2  daughters, Kimberly Kulp of Pottstown and Alysha Kulp of New Plymouth Idaho; by 4 grandchildren; by 2 brothers, Erich Kulp of Phoenixville and Michael Kulp of Pottstown.; 1 sister, Dorothy Cossaboon of Royersford and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Austria. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Jeffrey Kulp.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service, Friday, 1 P.M. at the Good Shepherd Chapel of the Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick. Officiating will be Pastor Branson Roberts of the Fairview Village Church of the Nazarene. Friends may call at the Chapel from 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Psonak, John,
Psonak, John, of Conshohocken, died Tuesday morning, July 22, 2003, at the Rittenhouse Pines Nursing Home in Norristown. Mr. Psonak was born on July 30, 1919 in Sackville, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Theodore and Victoria (Wojick) Psonak. He was 83.
Mr. Psonak was a crane operator for Baldt-Anchor in Chester for 30 years, retiring in 1982. During World War II, he served in the United States Army. He was in the first wave on Omaha Beach and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He fought in Algeria, Sicily, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, and 8 battle stars.
Mr. Psonak was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Conshohocken, the VFW in Conshohocken, the Golden Age Club of St. Mary’s and an associate member of the FOP (Fraternal Order of Police).
Mr. Psonak was the widower of Irene (Olszta) Psonak. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon M. Ellam of Conshohocken, 2 granddaughters, and 3 sisters; Agnes Iacono of Lynnewood, Rose Kryszan of Wallingford, and Vera Smith of Boothwyn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert, and his sister, Mary Jankowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass, Saturday, 10 A.M., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Elm and Oak Sts., Conshohocken. Friends may call from 7 to 9 P.M. at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting. Jenkins, Ida M. (Cummins),
Jenkins, Ida M. (Cummins) of Conshohocken, died Sunday, September 21, 2003 at her daughter’s home in East Petersburg after an illness. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Conshohocken, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Reehm) Cummins. She was 87.
Mrs. Jenkins was a graduate of Conshohocken High School and attended Temple University. She was the Director of Medical Records at Norristown State Hospital at the time of her retirement in the mid 1980’s. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Harold Byron and his successor, Dr. Peter Ganime, as recently as last December.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Board of Directors of NORSCO Credit Union and worked on the executive committee for over 30 years. She was a past-President of the Conshohocken Junior Women’s Club and an officer of the Montgomery County Federated Women’s Clubs. She served as President of the Spring Mill Elementary PTA, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Radiant Chapter, and of the Conshohocken Historical Society. She was an active member of the Conshohocken High School Alumni Association and of Grace Lutheran Church in Norristown. She served as secretary of the Plymouth Young at Heart for over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling and her most recent trip took her to the French Riviera.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by 2  daughters, Ruth Ann Pasquarello of Plymouth Meeting and Lynn Brian of East Petersburg, and by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul G. Cummins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service Wednesday, September 24, 11 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, 506 Haws Avenue, Norristown. Friends may call at the church after 9 A.M. Wednesday. Officiating will be Pastor Janice Voight. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.

Christy, Paul R.,
Christy, Paul R. “Bob” of West Norriton died Saturday morning, September 20, 2003 at Clara Burke Nursing Home in Whitemarsh Township after a lengthy illness. Mr. Christy was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a son of the late Paul L. and Marian C. (Smith) Christy. He was 72.
Mr. Christy grew up in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism. During the Korean War he served in the United States Army and attained the rank of Sergeant.
Mr. Christy worked as a reporter for the Winona, Minnesota newspaper. Later he worked in public relations for the Honeywell Corporation in Minnesota before being transferred to Philadelphia in 1960. He worked in public relations for F.M. C. of Philadelphia and McKinney Public Relations. He founded Christy Construction which he operated from 1980 to 1997. From 1997 to the present he owned and operated Christy Woodcrafts.
Mr. Christy was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and AMBUCS. He served on the Norristown Area School District School Board and was president of the Band Parents at Norristown High School. He served as a vestryman at All Saints Episcopal Church in Norristown and was a member of Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge. He enjoyed reading and woodworking.
Mr. Christy was the widower of Nancy (Walker) Christy, his wife of 46 years who preceded him in death on September 8, 2003. He was the  Father of Carole C. DeJohn of N. Coventry, Kathryn A. Heim of West Norriton, Nancy I.C. Lewis of Perkiomenville, and the late Mark R. Christy. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Mari-lou Triebenbach of Plymouth, Minnesota and Dorothy Bell of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, 2 granddaughters, 6 grandsons , his daughter-in-law, Maryann (Dorsch) Christy, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Mr. and Mrs. Christy, Friday, September 26, 2003 at 11 A.M. at the Washington Memorial Chapel on Route 23 in Valley Forge Park. Patrick, Neil M.,
Patrick, Neil M., of Collegeville, died at his home on Monday, September 8, 2003, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Patrick was born in Kearny, New Jersey, on March 18, 1933, a son of the late James and Nora (McLaren) Patrick. He was 70.
Mr. Patrick graduated from Bloomfield High School and Upsala College, both in New Jersey. He was employed as a distribution manager at BOC Gases of Malvern. During the Korean War, he served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Corporal.
Mr. Patrick enjoyed golf and fishing and was devoted to his family.
Mr. Patrick is survived by his wife, Christine, (Lemanowicz) Patrick and by his children; Lori Patrick of Limerick, Doug Patrick and his wife, Roberta, of Kenilworth, and Karen Patrick of Collegeville. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Robbie and Chris, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Patrick.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mr. Patrick’s family at his late residence on September 20, 2003, from 2 to 5 P.M. Interment will be private. Christy, Nancy W. (Walker),
Christy, Nancy W. (Walker), of West Norriton, died on Monday morning, September 8, 2003 at Manor Care in King of Prussia after an illness. Mrs. Christy was born on April 24, 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Robert and Muriel (Brickner) Walker. She was 66.
Mrs. Christy attended high school in Minnesota. She was primarily a homemaker and also worked at the Crane Company in King of Prussia. She was a very active member of the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge including serving as the manager of the Cabin Shop Kitchen at the church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a former Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, all needlecrafts and gardening.
Mrs. Christy is survived by her husband, Paul Christy, and by her children; Carole C. DeJohn of North Coventry, Kathryn A. Heim of West Norriton, and Nancy I.C. Lewis of Perkiomenville. Also surviving are 2 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, a sister, Linda A. Durand of Minnesota, a brother, Richard A. Walker of Montana, and many nieces and nephews.

Bitler, Henry G.,
Bitler, Henry G., of Oley, died Monday, November 24, 2003, at the Veterans’ Hospital in Lebanon after an illness. Mr. Bitler was born on April 20, 1928, in Gibraltar, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Benjamin and Lottie (Griffith) Bitler.
Mr. Bitler worked as a moulder for the Birdsboro Corporation for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate, Third Class, during World War II. He enjoyed salt water fishing.
Mr. Bitler was the husband of the late Betty (Hennes) Bitler. He is survived by his son, William Bitler of Oley and his daughter, Patricia Buffington of Virginia. Also surviving are 3 sisters; Ellen Sowers of Birdsboro, Vivian Dimenza of Clearwater, Florida, and Barbara Koepsinger of Brookville, Florida, and his grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer.

Daley, Richard N.,
Daley, Richard N., of Limerick, died Friday evening, November 21, 2003, at Phoenixville Hospital after an illness. Mr. Daley was born in Philadelphia on November 13, 1953, a son of Raymond Daley of E. Norriton and the late Bambina (Colonna) Daley. He was 50.
Mr. Daley graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School. He was an electrician and was employed by Welex, Inc. of Blue Bell. He was a member of St. Clare’s Catholic Church in Linfield and a former member of St. Eleanor Catholic Church in Collegeville. He enjoyed cooking, his work, and taking care of his family.
In addition to his  Father, Mr. Daley is survived by his wife, Christine (Nagle) Daley, and by his 2 sons, Ryan and Matt, both at home. He was the brother of Linda Gambone of Collegeville, Ray Daley of East Norriton, Lorraine Schank of Spring Mount, Tom Daley of Bridgeport, and Joe Daley of Lafayette Hills. Also surviving are 7 nephews, 6 nieces, and 1 great-nephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass, Wednesday, November 26, at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 6th Avenue and Locust St., Collegeville. Campbell-Lightnour, Lucinda (Henderson),
Campbell, Lucinda (Henderson) Lightnour of Pottstown, died suddenly at her home on Thursday evening, November 13, 2003. Mrs. Campbell was born in Pottstown on March 22, 1957, a daughter of the late Theodore and Annie Ruth ( Miles) Henderson. She was 46.
Mrs. Campbell graduated from Pottstown High School and from the Antonelli Medical Institute. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Coventry Manor Nursing Home and was also currently a student at the Montgomery County Community College.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing bingo, was an avid gardener, and loved spending time with her grandson.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by 4 children; Nichelle Lightbourn of Pottstown, Evonne Lightbourn of Pottstown, Garrow Lightbourn II of Bermuda, and Garrick Lightbourn of Pottstown. Also surviving is her grandson, Antione Lightbourn. Other survivors include 4 brothers; George E. Henderson of LosAngeles, CA, Theodore Henderson, Jr. of Royersford, Grover Henderson of Wilkes-Barre, and Willie Roy Henderson of Pottstown; and 3 sisters; Verna Henderson of Pottstown, Mary Shawell of Norristown, and Sandra Reddick of Stowe. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bennie F. Henderson.

Youells, Vivian Gourley,
Youells, Vivian Gourley (McEldon) died at the Lutheran Community in Telford on February 6, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Youells was born on April 21, 1915 in Omaha, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Byron and Bertha (Stock) McEldon. She was 88.
Mrs. Youells was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked as a model, as a buyer, and later managed Stewart’s department store in King of Prussia. She enjoyed gardening and playing the piano as well as making hooked rugs. She also taught Bible class.
Mrs. Youells was the widow of Paul Gourley and John Youells. She is survived by 3 children; John B. Gourley, (former chairman of the East Norriton Board of Supervisors) of South Carolina, Roberta Gagliano of Eagleville, and Paul Gourley of Perkasie. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 3 stepsons, and her sister, Elaine Combs of Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger McEldon, her sister, Lillian Hansen, and 1 stepson.

Loughin, John,
Loughin, John W., of Limerick died Monday, February 2, 2004 at Phoenixville Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Loughin was born on October 13, 1928 in Norristown, a son of the late Winfield W. and Mayme (Bergey) Loughin. He was 75.
Mr. Loughin graduated from Norristown High School. During World War II, he served in the United States Marine Corps stationed in Guam. He attained the rank of Corporal.
Mr. Loughin worked at Superior Tube in Lower Providence for 50 years. He had a variety of maintenance positions and was a member of the United Steelworkers of America, Local 06816.He was also a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Limerick. He enjoyed traveling with his wife.
Mr. Loughin was the husband of Dorothy (Phillips) Loughin. He is survived by 3 children; Cathy Huber of Limerick, John Loughin, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Robert Loughin of Mont Clare; and by 3 stepchildren; Jim Joyner of Birdsboro, Gordon Joyner of Douglassville, and Richard Joyner of New Hope. Also surviving are 1 grandchild, 4 great-grandchildren, a sister, Elaine Tredinnick of Gladwyne, and a brother, Winfield Loughin of Norristown. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Belz.
A viewing will be held Thursday, February 5, 2004, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main Street, Trappe. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 10 A.M. at St. James Lutheran Church, Swamp Pike and Kugler Road, Limerick.

Anderson, Harry,
Anderson, Harry, of Trappe, formerly of South Philadelphia, died suddenly on Sunday evening, January 18, 2004, at his home. Mr. Anderson was born in Philadelphia on May 21, 2004, a son of the late John and Anna (Kulakowsky)Anderson. He was 70.
Mr. Anderson graduated from South Philadelphia High School. He was employed for many years at Domino Sugar in Philadelphia in Loss Control and Quality Control. Later he worked for the city of Philadelphia at their Sewer Treatment Plant.
Mr. Anderson enjoyed gardening and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was a recent convert and member of St. Eleanor Catholic Church in Collegeville.
Mr. Anderson was the husband of Elizabeth H. (Baumeister) Anderson, his wife of almost 45 years. He is survived by 2 sons: Harry and his wife, Theresa of Morton, Delaware County, and Stephen and his wife, Tina of Collegeville, and by 4 grandchildren: Ariana, Austin, Taylor, and Stephen.

Gerhold, Ethel,
Gerhold, Ethel (Smith) formerly of Collegeville, died Monday morning, January 12, 2004, at the Frederick Mennonite Home after an illness. Mrs. Gerhold was born in Philadelphia on December 12, 1914, a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Loux) Smith. She was 89.
Mrs. Gerhold attended school in the Creamery area. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and, especially, taking care of her children.
Mrs. Gerhold was the widow of William F. Gerhold who died in 1994. She is survived by her son Richard and his wife Anita of E. Greenville, her daughter, Carolyn, wife of Albert Drexler of Hatfield; Joyce, wife of Edward Curtis of Royersford; Mary, wife of George Leister, of Fleetwood: and Trudy, wife of David Shainline of Boyertown. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Newlin Smith of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her brothers Raymond and Lester, and by her sister, Frances.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass, Friday, 11:30 AM, at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 6th Ave. and Main St., Collegeville.
