JUNE GERHART
June Gerhart, 66, of Coopersburg, died Saturday, November 24, 2001. She was the wife of 41 years of Eugene H. Gerhart.

RICHARD K. KLEIN
Richard K. Klein, 80, formerly of Upper Gwynedd Twp., died Saturday, November 24, 2001. He was the husband of Emilie (Stott) Klein. The couple had been married 53 years.

ETHEL SHELLENBERGER

Ethel Amanda Shellenberger, 91, educator, former national lay leader of the United Church of Christ and former resident of Lansdale, died Nov. 6, 2001 at the Wyncote Church Home in Wyncote, where she had lived since 1998.

A memorial service honoring Ethel A. Shellenberger, who died Nov. 6, 2001, will be held Dec. 1, 2001 at 11 A.M. in St. John's United Church of Christ, 500 W. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will greet friends following the service. Interment , private at Leidy's cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. John's U.C.C., designated for the Camp Mensch Mill Fund, at the address above. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale.

HARRY W. MYERS

Harry W. Myers, 85, of Schwenckfeld Manor in Towamencin, died November 25, 2001 in North Penn Hospital in Hatfield Twp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby F. (Nounenmacher) Myers. Formerly of Allentown, he moved to the Lansdale area in 1953 and lived at Schwenckfeld Manor since 1979.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Wilbur R. and Lillian T. (Miller) Myers. He graduated from Allentown High School in 1936. He served in Europe with the U.S. Army during WW II and received three Bronze Service Stars.

Mr. Myers was employed by the former American Olean Tile Co. in Lansdale for 26 years, retiring in 1979.

He was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God in Lansdale and the Lansdale Historical Society.

Surviving is his daughter, Glenda M. Deutsch of New Ringgold: two grandchildren, Kathleen Bright and David Deutsch; a greatgranddaughter, Shelby Bright; two brothers, Clifford L. Myers of Allentown and Ralph G. Myers of Emmaus; a sister, Dorothy Leh of Schnecksville; and his companion, Dolly Zehner of Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Golly; and a brother, Robert T. Meyers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service, Thursday, Nov. 29 at 11 A.M. in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Derstine and Cannon avenues, Lansdale. Interment , Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, prior to the service, from 10 to 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to Maranatha Assembly of God, PO Box 992, Lansdale, PA 19446.

Elsie (Grass) Penniman, 78, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001 in Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton Twp.

TRUMAN Y. PRICE
Truman Y. Price, 83, formerly of Red Hill and Salisbury, MD, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001 at Pennsburg Manor in Pennsburg, where he was a resident since 1995.

FRANK E. WEBER

Frank E. Weber, 78, of Upper Gwynedd, died Nov. 24, 2001. He was the husband of Mary Weber.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ella Weber. He was a graduate of Olney High School. While serving in the U.S. Navy as a radarman first class, he taught radar at the Cavalier Hotel Radar School in Virginia Beach, VA.

He was employed by Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania, retiring in 1984 from Bell Atlantic with 42 years of service.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, William E. and his wife, Joan, of Hatfield and Robert D. of North Wales; a daughter, Catharine Wonneberger and her husband, Charles, of Killingworth, CT; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Eleanor Starliper of Edgewater, FL and Jane Teal of Elleaton, FL.

Relatives and friends are invited to services Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 11 A.M. at the First Church of the Brethren, 8707 Cheltenham Ave., Wyndmoor, PA 19038. Interment , Greenlawn cemetery. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be sent to Aid for Friends, c/o the above named church. Arrangements are by Craft of Erdenheim, 814 Bethlehem Pike.

Edward Kurpiel, 68, a retired excavating contractor, died Friday morning, Nov. 9, 2001, at his residence.

Leo W. "Slim" Gable, age 83, of Hatfield, died Sat. Dec. 1, 2001 at North Penn Hospital.

EMMA HARRIET HUSTON
Emma Harriet Huston, 95, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 at her home in Lansdale after a long illness.

ANNIE P. SCHWARTZ
Annie P. Schwartz, 81, of Brightfield, Hatfield Twp., died Dec. 1, 2001 in Mercy Suburban Hospital, East Norriton.

CATHERINE M. TEICHMAN
Catherine M. Teichman, 75, of Brittany Pointe Estates, Upper Gwynedd, died December 2, 2001 at North Penn Hospital.

MARY T. CAMPBELL
Mary T. (Nolter) Campbell, 88, of Southampton, died Nov. 30, 2001 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was the wife of the late John P. Hutchinson and the late Wertman "Soupy" Campbell.

DOROTHY M. BOURNE
Dorothy M. (Hahn) Bourne, of Lansdale, formerly of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, died Nov. 27, 2001.

JOHN E. BURGESS
John E. Burgess, 78, of Sellersville, formerly of Norristown, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at his residence.

FLORENCE M. CRESSMAN
Florence M. (Schirk) Cressman, 81, wife of Franklin A. Cressman, of Schwenksville Road, Upper Salford Twp., died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at home.

DOROTHY U. GARNER
Dorothy U. Garner, 63, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 27, 2001 in North Penn Hospital.

DAVID KANTOR

David Kantor, 81, formerly of Telford, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 25, 2001 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, after a brief illness.
He had lived at the home since 1997. He was married 58 years to Ruth (Weinstein) Kantor.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph and Golda (Mushnick) Kantor. He served as a pharmacist mate, third class in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

A pharmacist, he owned and operated Broch's Pharmacy in Newark, NJ from 1946 to 1960. He also worked in various other drug stores, most recently at the Sellersville Pharmacy in Sellersville.

He was a member of Lansdale Presbyterian Church in Hatfield Twp.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Michael Kantor and his wife, Dawn, of Glenside, Leonard Kantor of Alexandria, VA and Gary Kantor and his wife, Melinda, of Roanoke, VA; five  daughters, Joan Muller and her husband, Vincent, of Skillman, NJ, Frances Questad and her husband, Kenneth, of Newton, MA, Marcy Petriccione and her husband, Michael, of Lisbon, NH, Debra Welsh and her husband, Jeffrey, of Bel-Air, MD and Harriet Mola and her husband, Peter, of Willow Grove; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bessie Cohen of Roselle, NJ and Eva Biglin of Irvington, NJ.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. in Ellingsworth Auditorium at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, 625 Robert Fulton Hwy. in Quarryville, with the Rev. Thomas Keane, the Rev. Dr. John P. MacRae, the Rev. Harold D. Hight and the Rev. Nelson K. Malkus officiating. The viewing will be from 10 to 11 A.M. prior to the service. Interment , in Quarryville cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be sent to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Brown Mills, NJ 08015. Arrangements are by the Ivan B. Dewald Funeral Home in Quarryville.

J. ROGER LABS

J. Roger Labs, 66, of Souderton, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp.
He had been in failing health for several months. He was the beloved husband of Grace (Constanzer) Labs. Formerly of Harleysville, he moved to Souderton in 1984.

Born in Telford, he was a son of the late Frederick A. and Verna (Moyer) Labs.

Mr. Labs was a truck driver for Merck & Co. of West Point for more than 31 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a longtime, active member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Telford.

An avid fisherman and hunter, he was a member and director of the Souderton-Harleysville Game, Fish and Forestry Association Inc. He was a member and past treasurer of Unified Sportsman of Pennsylvania and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He worked tirelessly to promote the NRA and sought to enhance the mission and image of both the NRA and Unified Sportsman of Pennsylvania. He received a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the work he did with legislators in the southeastern part of the state.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his beloved stepchildren, M. Todd Smoot and his wife, Brenda M., of Sellersville, J. Andrew Smoot and his wife, Susie R., of Doylestown and Susan Smoot and her husband, James T. Fahey, of Hagerstown, MD; eight grandchildren, Daman, Janelle, Carissa, Samantha and Dalton Smoot, Austin, Madison and Elizabeth Fahey; two sons, John Labs and Randy Labs; a brother, Frederick A. Labs Jr. and his wife, Dorothy, of Telford; and a sister, Joan Marie Clause and her husband, Frank, of Telford; and many nieces and nephews and their children.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11 A.M. in Trinity U.C.C., 101 S. Main St., Telford. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials by made in his name to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960. Arrangements are by the David R. Sadler Funeral Home in Telford.

PAUL JOSEPH LAWN

Paul Joseph Lawn, 63, of North Wales, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 28, 2001 at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale, where he had been a resident for one day.
He had been in failing health for 10 years. A former longtime resident of Doylestown, he also lived in North Wales for five months and Lake Harmony at Split Rock in the Poconos for four years.

Born and raised in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Samuel and Katherine (Whelan) Lawn. He graduated from Holy Cross Elementary School in Mount Airy and was a member of the Class of 1956 of North Catholic High School in Philadelphia.

He worked as a paralegal for the law firm of Saul and Ewing in center city Philadelphia for 25 years, retiring due to disability in 1996.

Mr. Lawn was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church while a resident of Doylestown and St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church while residing in Lake Harmony.

He belonged to Lake Harmony Council No. 10772, Knights of Columbus and was a fourth degree member of the Poconos Mountains Assembly No. 981, Knights of Columbus.

He was an avid skier and enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are four brothers, Samuel Lawn and his wife, Teresa, of Souderton, John Lawn and his wife, Carolyn, of Erdenheim,. Thomas Lawn and his wife, Margaret, of Spring Hill, FL and Richard Lawn and his wife, Mary, with whom he lived in North Wales; two sisters-in-law, Doris Lawn of Linwood, NJ and Joanne Lawn of Plumsteadville; 33 nephews and nieces and many grandnephews and grandnieces.

Mr. Lawn was preceded in death by two brothers, William Lawn and Robert Lawn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, East Main Street and Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10:15 A.M., followed by interment in Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Cheltenham. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the brothers of the Good Shepherd, c/o St. John's Hospice, 1221 Race St., Phila., PA 19107, would be preferred. Arrangements are by the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home in Lansdale.

PAMELA S. MacBAIN

Pamela Sharon MacBain, 36, died Nov. 28, 2001 in Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton.
She had been a resident of the Lynch Home in Lower Gwynedd since 1984.

Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of Roger and Joan (Arbaugh) MacBain of North Wales. She is also survived by her brother, Scott MacBain and his wife, Judi, of Lansdale; her three sisters, Debbie Cieslukowski and her husband, Walter, of Dillsburg, Carole Yoder and her husband, Dave, and Cindy MacBain, all of Lansdale; five nephews, four nieces and her maternal grandmother, Mary Arbaugh of Montgomeryville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service Friday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 A.M. in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Derstine and Cannon avenues, Lansdale.The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 9 to 9:30 A.M. Interment , Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Lynch Home, 604 DeKalb Pike, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19437.
