Mary R. Adams
Mary R. Adams, 73, of Fairview Twp. died Tuesday February 29, 2000 in Harrisburg Hospital.

She was retired from the former Berg Electronics/DuPont, Fairview Twp. and Emigsville and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.

She was the widow of Ronald M. Adams, Jr. and is survived by a son Ronald M., III of Etters; 3  daughters, Michele Whiting of Etters, Monica Adams of Mt. Holly Springs and Marlene Fuhrman of Dauphin; and 7 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Friday in her church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence, her pastor and the Rev. Msgr. Francis Kumantis concelebrating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Visitation will be from 9 am until 10 am Friday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 1500 N. 2nd St. Harrisburg, PA 17102-2527.

Jack Albright
Jack Albright, 75, of York Haven, and formerly of Ridgefield, WA and Henderson, NV, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at York Hospital.

A WWII Army/Navy Veteran, he was a retired Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic from Titanium Metals Corporation of America, Henderson, NV. He was the founder of Kettle Jack's Homemade Fudge of York. He was a member of the steel workers union, and was an avid fisherman and musician.

He was born June 25, 1924 in Kelso, WA to the late Lidge and Nannie (Fiske) Albright.

His wife survives him, June B. Albright, two sons, Bob L. Albright of York Haven and Ronnie Ray Albright of Fallon, NV; two  daughters, Linda B. Robinson of Fairview Twp., Joyee K. Materazzi of Newberry Twp.; two step- daughters, Mauricia Jean Schaff of Sandy, OR, Denise Y. Gruber of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Robert Albright of Longview, WA; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland has charge of arrangements.

Louise W. Albright
Louise W. Albright, 81, of New Cumberland, died Saturday, April 2, 2000 at Harrisburg Hospital.

A graduate of Penn State University, Middletown Campus. She was a retired teacher from Lincoln Elementary School in the Harrisburg School District. She volunteered for Pennsylvania State Museum Gift Shop, New Cumberland Public Library, and Downtown Daily Bread, Harrisburg. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Camp Hill and its Circle, and the Greater Harrisburg Rose Society. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

She was born August 23, 1918 in Dauphin County to the late Bruce and Mettie (Sheetz) Weakley.

The widow of Samuel E. Albright, she is survived by two sons, Sam of Dillsburg and Ed of Summerdale; two  daughters, Carol A. Fry of Carlisle and Lola A. Pool of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren and a great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm Thursday at her church. Private interment will be in East Harrisburg cemetery, Susquehanna Twp.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service Thursday at her church.

Clair R. Amsbaugh, Jr.
Clair R. Amsbaugh, Jr., 70, of Lower Allen Twp., PA, died Sunday, August 27, 2000 at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.

He was born January 3, 1930 to the late Clair R., Sr. and Margaret E. Hinkle Amsbaugh.

He was a self-employed home improvement contractor in the West Shore Area of Greater Harrisburg. He was an Air National Guard veteran of the Korean War; he was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Lemoyne and its Fellowship Bible Class; he was a loving and devoted grand  Father.

He is surived by his wife Mae A. (Prosser) Amsbaugh; two sons, Rodney C., Lancaster and Roger L., Newville; three brothers, John, Elizabethtown; George, Mechanicsburg, Garry, York Haven; a step brother Robert Haas, York; four sisters, Henrietta Slaseman, York Haven, Elizabeth Sanger, Elloree, SC, Patricia Harbold, Manchester, Kathryn Millard, Etters; three grand children; nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held 10:30am Thursday in his church with the Rev. Charles W. Sprenkle, his pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Viewing will be 6-8pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland and 10:00 - 10:30am Thursday at his church.

Daniel Lee Angstadt
Daniel Lee Angstadt, 54, of Duncannon, PA, died Sat., August 19, 2000 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

He was a former Field Engineer for AMP, Incorporated; an Air force Veteran of the Viet Nam War; attended Christian Life Assembly of God Church, Camp Hill; a member of Central Penn Repeaters Assn.; A.R.R.L. (American Radio Relay League); he was a amateur radio operator.

He was born June 7, 1946 in Reading, PA to the late William J. and Marion (Penberth) Angstadt.

He is survived by his wife Diane D. (DePalma) Angstadt; a brother David A. Angstadt, El Paso, TX; two cousins, Nancy West, Ft. Washington, PA, Susan Boyd, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday at Christian Life Assembly of God Church, Camp Hill with the Pastor Jim E. Schambach Jr. officiating. Private burial will be in Friedens cemetery, Oley, PA.

Visitation will be 1-2pm Thursday at the church.

Kathryne M. Atkinson
Kathryne M. Atkinson, 83, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of New Cumberland, died Saturday, May 13 at Manor Care, Camp Hill.

She was a retired clerk from the Post Exchange of the former New Cumberland Army Depot. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist church, New Cumberland and American Legion Post 974 Ladies Auxiliary, New Cumberland. She enjoyed crafts and collecting Elvis memorabilia.

She was born September 29, 1916 in Harrisburg to the late Frank and Estella (Whittle) Stemler.

She was the widow of George Charles Albert Atkinson. Four sons survive her, Charles G. of Newport, George C. of Florence TX, Reginald of Carlisle, and Keith B. of Liverpool; two  daughters, Sandra K. Miller of Mechanicsburg and Kathy P. Wise of York Haven; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Fairview Twp.

Viewing will be from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Anna L. Baer
Anna L. Baer, 76, of Newberry Twp. died Friday, March 10 at her home.

She was a retired senior machine operator from du Pont Electronics, Fishing Creek. She liked to read and collect American Indian memorabilia.

She was born September 26, 1923 in Harrisburg. The widow of Raymond K. Baer.

She is survived by a son, Raymond P. of Middletown; two  daughters, Betty M. Nesi of Newberry Twp. and Sandra R. Blodgett of Manchester; a step-daughter, Evelyn R. Marshall of New Cumberland; a brother, Lee Heffelfinger of New Cumberland; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Eleanor G. Bailey
Eleanor G. "Rusty" Bailey, 76, of Newberry Twp., died Tuesday, August 29, 2000 at Camp Hill Care Center, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was past president of two social organizations in the Harrisburg area.

She was born July 13, 1924 in Lewistown to the late William H. Pensinger and Catherine A. (Eby) Pensinger Harnish.

She is survived by her husband, Warren F. Bailey; a niece, Patricia Otto of Mechanicsburg; four great nephews, David Wagner, Bill Pensinger, Don Wagner, and Ed Wagner; and a great-great-niece, Alexandra Pensinger.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.

Viewing will be from 10am until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Clara E. Baker
Clara E. Baker, 96, of New Cumberland and formerly of Penbrook died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was a member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg; Harrisburg Rose Society; Linglestown Garden Club; and the Progress Fire Co. Auxillary. She was born 2/18/04 on Harrisburg to the late Charles F. & Elizabeth A. (Theal) Peters.

She was the widow of William A. Baker and is survived by a daughter Clara E. Knox with whom she lived; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandaughters.

Services will be held 11 am Friday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Shoop's cemetery, Lower Paxton Twp.

Viewings will be from 7-9pm Thursday and 10-11am Friday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a donor's charity of choice.

Joan l. Bartholomew
Joan Louise Bartholomew, 76, of Lemoyne, PA, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was a retired bookkeeper for the former CCNB Bank, New Cumberland; a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.

She was born October 12, 1923 in Lebanon, PA to the late Theodore and Vesta (Reifein) Campbell.

She is survived by a son Barry A. Bartholomew, Camp Hill; a brother Stewart T. Campbell, Maynard, MA; two sisters, Marion Kleinz, Philadelphia, and Vesta A. Rynard, Mechanicsburg; six grand children; six great grand children.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:30 am Wednesday, June 21st at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence as celebrant. Burial will be Monday July 10 in Gate of Heaven Catholic cemetery, Upper Allen Twp. with The Rev.  Father Michael C. Letteer officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.

Roy S. Barton
Roy S. Barton, 88, of Etters and formerly of Massachusetts and New York died Sunday, March 19, 2000 in Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.

He was a retired Credit Coordinator for Exxon, Corp. in Pelham, NY and a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Etters and a former member of and Deacon and Elder for Queens Reformed Church, Queens Village, NY and a former member of and Deacon for Congregational Church, Methven, MA. He was also very active in the Boy Scouts of America.

He was born 11/22/11 in Malden, MA to the late William A. & Maude (Rafuse) Barton.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Ella A. (Bernard) Barton; a son and daughter in law William R. and Tanya R. (Priske) Barton of Etters; a brother, Ellias A. Barton of Everett, MA; 2 grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 2 pm Thursday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Viewing will be from 1-2pm Thursday in the funeral home.

Ruth R. Bennet
Ruth R.. Bennett, 62, of Fairview Twp., formerly of Erie, died Thursday, August 24 at Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, A Service of Hospice of Central PA, Susquehanna Twp.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Newberrytown, a volunteer and Board Member of Red Land Senior Citizen Center.

She was born May 9, 1938 in Akron, Ohio. Her  Father, Thomas Totten, predeceased her.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Rollo Totten of Barbarton, OH; her husband, George R. "Bob" Bennett; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward R. and Kelly Bennett of Girard, PA; two sisters, Mary E. Cunningham of Doylestown, OH and Lois A. Zimmerman of Dennison, OH; a granddaughter, Loran A. Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be at 2pm Tuesday at Laurel Hill cemetery, Erie, PA.

Viewing will be from 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Anna E. Boward, 85, of Lemoyne died Saturday March 18, 2000 in Harrisburg Hospital.

She was the widow of Harry Boward and has no immediate survivors.

Services will be held 11:30 am Tuesday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Stone Church cemetery, Silver Spring Twp.

Viewing will be from 10:30-11:30 am Tuesday in the funeral Home.

David G. Brown, 78, of New Cumberland died Friday, June 30, 2000 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp. He was a retired Evaluation Engineer for the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission, Harrisburg; a WWII Army Air Corps veteran and navigator with the 44th Bomb Group the "Flying Eight Balls", earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 4 Oak Leaf clusters and the European, African, Middle Eastern Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars. He was a graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia and an Eagle Boy Scout. He was a member of West Shore Lodge #681, F&AM, Camp Hill; VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland; 2nd Air Division Association, Philadelphia; AARP; and the Christian faith.

He was born 5/13/22 in Pottsville, PA to the late William Earl and Katherine (Geist) Brown. He was preceded in death by a sister Betty Jane Brown.

He is survived by his wife Margaret (Beckley) Brown; 2  daughters, Ginger A. Brown of Mechanicsburg and Barbara T. "Bobbie" Brown of New Cumberland; and a granddaughter Jennifer Hatton.

Memorial service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday July 5, 2000 in the Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service Wednesday in the funeral home.

Marjorie Bucher, 79, of Camp Hill Care Center and formerly of Hummel Ave., Camp Hill, died Monday, March 20, 2000 at the Center.

She was a British Armed Services A.T.S., WWII Veteran. She was a member of Eberly's Mill Church of God, Camp Hill and Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, West Shore Chapter. She was born April 4, 1920 in Hull England to the late Arthur and Ethel (Hyde) Finch.

The widow of Guy I. Bucher. She is survived by a son, Barry K. Bucher of New Cumberland; a daughter, Denise E. Farrel of New Cumberland; a sister, Dorothy Davis of Leeds, England; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with her pastor, The Rev. James Moss, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Until her retirement, she and her late husband Henry L. Budwig, owned Henry L. Budwig Advertising, in Lemoyne.

She attended Market Square Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg; and was a past member of the West Shore Circle and a past member of The West Shore Neighbors Club.

She was born December 5, 1920 in New York City, NY to the late Louis and Anna (Scotti) Sammartino. She is survived by her son Mark W. Budwig, New York City; a daughter Lisa Ann Budwig, New Cumberland.

Graveside services will be held 1 PM Monday at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. With the Rev. James D. Brown, Market Square Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, officiating.
