Eleanor G. "Rusty" Bailey, 76, of Newberry Twp., died Tuesday, August 29, 2000 at Camp Hill Care Center, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was past president of two social organizations in the Harrisburg area.

She was born July 13, 1924 in Lewistown to the late William H. Pensinger and Catherine A. (Eby) Pensinger Harnish.

She is survived by her husband, Warren F. Bailey; a niece, Patricia Otto of Mechanicsburg; four great nephews, David Wagner, Bill Pensinger, Don Wagner, and Ed Wagner; and a great-great-niece, Alexandra Pensinger.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.

Viewing will be from 10am until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Ruth R. Bennet
Ruth R.. Bennett, 62, of Fairview Twp., formerly of Erie, died Thursday, August 24 at Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, A Service of Hospice of Central PA, Susquehanna Twp.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Newberrytown, a volunteer and Board Member of Red Land Senior Citizen Center.

She was born May 9, 1938 in Akron, Ohio. Her  Father, Thomas Totten, predeceased her.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Rollo Totten of Barbarton, OH; her husband, George R. "Bob" Bennett; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward R. and Kelly Bennett of Girard, PA; two sisters, Mary E. Cunningham of Doylestown, OH and Lois A. Zimmerman of Dennison, OH; a granddaughter, Loran A. Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be at 2pm Tuesday at Laurel Hill cemetery, Erie, PA.

Viewing will be from 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Reynold K. Bjurstrom
Reynold "Rey" K. Bjurstrom, 80, of Hummelstown, formerly Camp Hill, died Thursday, October 26 at his home.

He retired as Director of Social Service for Tressler Lutheran Services. He received his Masters Degree from University of Denver, CO. He enjoyed Wood Working and Carving, and was an avid Soloist, Artist, Poet, Writer, and Gardener.

He is survived by his wife, Marianna Curtis Bjurstrom; four  daughters, Joanne Costigan of Enola, Karen Lewis of Harrisburg, Nancy Bjurstrom of Enola, and Laura Bjurstrom of New York City; two sisters, Florence Bowen of St. Paul, MN and Lillian Tweedy of Landisburg; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Saturday, November 4, at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, New Cumberland

Visitation will be from 10am until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Marth M. Briggs
Martha Marlene Briggs, 87, of Camp Hill, PA, died Saturday, September 30, 2000 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle, PA.

She was the retired owner/ operator of a beauty shop in Cornelia, GA. She was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church, Cornelia, GA. She was born 3/24/1913 in Clarkesville, GA to the late LaFayette AELonzo Adams and Mamie Lily Landers Adams.

She was the widow of Wiley C. Briggs. She is survived by two  daughters, Dianne B. Gallagher, Cornelia, GA, and Eileen B. Hollowbush, Camp Hill; a brother Harvey Jack Adams, Clarkesville, GA; a sister Bernice Pisano, Clarkesville; three grand children; five great grand children.

Graveside services will be held 11am on Wednesday at Clarkesville cemetery, Clarkesville, GA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God Home, 801 Harrisburg Pike Carlisle, PA 17013.

Vivian O. Donson
Vivian O. Donson, of Mechanicsburg, died Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at Harrisburg Hospital.

She was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She was a member of Areme Chapter, No. 192, Order of the Easter Star, Past Royal Matron of Willard Court No. 54, Order of the Amaranth; and Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed playing Pinochle.

She was born in Vandergrift, PA to the late Ambrose and Ruth (Rankin) Beck.

In addition to her parents, her husband, John R. Donson, Sr. and a son, Robert C. Donson, predecease her. A son and daughter, John R. Donson, Jr. and Sue Donson of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, survive her.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Fairview Twp.

Viewing will be from 1 to 2pm Friday at the funeral home.

Helen Ruth Eberly
Helen Ruth Eberly, 85, formerly of Ramsey Place Apartments, New Cumberland died Thursday, September 14, 2000 at her daughter's home in York Haven.

She was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania State Department of the Treasury and was a former employee of Manbeck's Bakery, Lemoyne. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and enjoyed crafts and walking.

She was born January 10, 1915 in Gettysburg to the late William F. and Mary M. (Rehm) Flemming.

The widow of Joseph M. Eberly, she is survived by a son, Edward M. Mundis, Jr. of Tamaqua; two  daughters, Joanne M. Estright of York Haven, and A. Jane Tezak of Steelton; a brother, Charles W. Flemming of Essex, MD; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Celebration will be held at 10:30am Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in Churchville cemetery, Oberlin.

Visitation will be from 9:30am until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Mildred Beard Eckenroth
Mildred Beard Eckenroth, 86, of Country Meadows, Hampden Twp. & formerly of Fairview Twp. died Sunday 10/22/2000 in Harrisburg Hospital.

She was a retired procurement clerk for the former Navy Supply Depot, Hampden Twp. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland and Astro Chapter of Order of Eastern Star #380.

She was born 2/12/14 in Highspire, PA to the late Charles & Gertrude (Hand) Beard.

She was the widow of Theodore Eckenroth and is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Services will be held 10 am Thursday 10/26/2000 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with her pastor Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.

Viewing will be 6-8 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.

Imogene Gentel Elden
Imogene Gentel Elden, 84, of New Cumberland died Tuesday 8/15/2000 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and a former bank teller in Philadelphia.

She was born 9/26/15 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Horace & Imogene (Grebel) Gentel.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Elden, Jr.; 3  daughters, Joanne Elden Beale of Centreville, VA, Marguerite Elden Ryan of Gaithersburg, MD, and Christine E. King of Woodbridge, VA; and 4 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 am Friday in her church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence, her pastor celebrating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am Friday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.

Charlotte L. Eisenhauer
Charlotte L. Eisenhauer, 50, of 101 Bostic Street, Princeton, WV, and formerly of New Cumberland, PA, died Saturday, October 21, 2000 at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.

She was a retired employee of the former New Cumberland Army Depot Commissary, New Cumberland, PA; she was a member of the American Legion Post # 974, Fairview Twp.

She was born in Princeton, WV on 3-31-1950 to the late Jim Allen Huffman and her mother Alma Lucille (Weeks) Woodyard, of Athens, WV.

She was the widow of William J. Eisenhauer. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a companion, Charlie Meadows, Athens; her daughter Michelle L. Lockhart, New Cumberland; a brother Jim Allen Huffman, Jr., Kernersville, NC; a sister Veda D. Fulknier, Princeton WV; a step- Father Lewis Woodyard, Athens; one grandson, Ryan A. Lockhart.

Funeral services will be held 11:30am Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland, PA. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Visitation will be 10:30 - 11:30am at the funeral home.

Margaret B. Fatzinger
Margaret B. Fatzinger, 94, of Camp Hill, died Saturday, August 26, 2000 at Manor Care, Camp Hill.

She was Past Matron of Easter Star, Steadfast Chapter, Camp Hill. She was a volunteer for West Shore Public Library and Holy Spirit Hospital.

She was born December 13, 1905 in Roulette, PA to the late Menzo and Iva (Manning) Burt.

The widow of Richard P. Fatzinger, she is survived by two sons, Fred B. of Camp Hill and Don B. of Ebenburg; a brother, Lyman Burt of Binghamton, NY; a sister, Marian Sucowish of Endicott, NY; six grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.

Graveside services will be held at 11am Tuesday at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Charles A. Fitting, Jr., 78
Charles A. Fitting, Jr., 78, of New Cumberland, PA, and also of Port Charlotte, FL, died Tuesday, October 31, 2000 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp., PA.

He was a retired Plant operator for Pennsylvania Power and Light Company at the Walnut Steam Heat Plant, Harrisburg; he was also a retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Air force and a veteran of WWII; a 30 year veteran in the Air National Guard 271st Communication Squadron; a 1941 graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg; VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland; American Legion Post 110, Port Charlotte, FL; Air Force Sergeant's Assn., Chapter 264; Forty and Eight, Voiture Locale # 9, New Cumberland; PP&L Live Wires Club.

He was born 9-29-1922 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Charles A. Fitting, Sr. and Margaret A. (Deeds) Fitting.

He is survived by his wife Fawn G. (Heilner) Fitting; three  daughters, Fawn C. Ross, East Pennsboro Twp, Barbara K. Frank, Port Charlotte, FL, Margaret D. Glusco, York; two brothers, Harvey A., Harrisburg, Raymond C., Marysville; three sisters, Ruth A. Jones, Camp Hill, Edna M. Lencioni, Linglestown, Dolores Rupp, Mechanicsburg; three grand children; four great grand children; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland with the Rev. Dennis E. Hamsher officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Viewing will 1-2pm at the funeral home. Caroll M. Fuller
Carol M. Fuller, 45, of Newberry Twp., died Saturday, October 21, 2000 at Carlisle Hospital, Carlisle.

She was a former employee of Wilson Gregory Insurance Agency, Camp Hill; a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; she also belonged to a local pinochle card club.

She was born in Harrisburg, PA on July 12, 1955 to the late Charles and Helen Goerke Hockley.

She is survived by her husband Gerald W. Fuller; two sons, Patrick W. and Gregory W., both of Etters; a sister Linda McCurdy, Wormleysburg; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be held 11 am Tuesday in her church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence as celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30am Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

Robert F. Hall
Robert F. Hall, 71, of Middletown, died Tuesday, September 19, 2000 at Harrisburg Hospital.

He was a retired supervisor for American Can Company. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Penn Harris Gun Club, Steelton, American Can Retirees, and New Cumberland Olde Towne Association. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and Penn State fan.

He was born June 30, 1929 in Pomeroy, Chester Co. to the late Alfred T. and Elizabeth (Bigler) Hall.

His wife Lois J. Leidig Hall; two sons, Todd R. of York Haven and Rex O. of Dover; Karen E. Permer of Bridge City, TX; a sister, Jean Douglas of Bokeelia, FL; and four grandchildren survive him.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday at his church with the Rev. Richard G. Lorenz officiating. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Visitation will be from 10:30am until time of service Friday at the church and at the luncheon following the service.

Robert L. Handley
Robert L. Handley, 89, of Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg and formerly of Camp Hill, died Tuesday, August 22, 2000 at Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, Service of Hospice of Central PA, Susquehanna Twp.

He was a retired Chief Dispatcher for the Pennsylvania State Department of General Services. He also was the manager for the former Penway Movie Theater, 18th and State Streets, Harrisburg. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and was an avid Notre Dame Football Fan.

He was born May 23, 1911 in Steelton to the late Paul and Anna (Coleman) Handley. He was the widower of Mary E. (Peters) Handley.

A son, Robert P. Handley of New Cumberland; a daughter, Mary Ann Kaufmann of Camp Hill; a sister, Mary Laverty of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons survive him.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday at her church. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, West Hanover Twp.

Viewings will be from 6-8pm Thursday and from 9:30am until 10am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland.

Billie Marie Heim, 56, of Shiremanstown, died Saturday, November 18, 2000 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was a mail clerk for Erie Insurance Group, Rossmoyne Business Complex. She also had worked for the Accounts Payable Department of the former AMP, Fulling Mill Road location.

She was born April 17, 1944 in Millersburg. Her daughter, Vickie L. Heim of Lemoyne; a sister, Kay L. Theiss of Virginia Beach, VA; and her parents, Phyllis and Steve Furjanic of Middletown, survive her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

She was born 12/6/11 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Alfred & Jane (Musket) Penkethman.

She was the widow of L. Kemble (Kem) Hoffer and is survived by 2 sons, Donald K. of Lemoyne, PA and Bruce A. of Alexandria, VA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Services will be held 3pm Sunday 10/22/2000 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, PA. Burial will be 1pm Monday 10/23/2000 in Mechanicsburg cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA.

Viewing will be Sunday from 2 pm until time of services in the funeral home.
