Pennsylvania Obituary and Marriage Records, 1947-2010

Harold C. Bauer
Harold C. Bauer, age 76, of Milton, DE, formerly of Pottstown, PA, died on Thursday, July 27, 2006 in Shelbyville, DE.
He was the husband of Patricia Ann (Ziegler) Bauer, who died in 2004.
Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Harold A. Bauer and Evelyn (Hepler) Bealer. For many years, Mr. Bauer was a construction supervisor for several area companies. He was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Pottstown.
Mr. Bauer was active with several senior citizen groups in the Milton, DE area.
He enjoyed playing pinochle and bowling.
Surviving are two sons- Bruce C. Bauer and his wife Cindy of Las Vegas, NV, Jay H. Bauer and his wife Janice of Pottstown, PA, Two brothers - Emerson Bealer of Pottstown, PA, Dennis Bealer of Pottstown, PA, One Sister - Dolores Price of New Jersey, Five Grandchildren, One Great Grandson A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA.
Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Friends may greet the family from 12:30 P.M. -2 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Delaware, 600 N. DuPont Hwy., Suite 107, Georgetown, DE 19947.

Frances Elaine (Ladner) Bauer
Frances Elaine (Ladner) Bauer, age 81, of Pottstown, PA, died on Tuesday, August 08, 2006 at the Phoenxiville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA.
She was the wife of the late John L. Bauer, who died in 1971.
Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank G. and Tillie (Taglieber) Ladner.
Mrs. Bauer was a 1944 graduate of the Pottstown High School.
Following high school, she worked for the Arrow Camera Shop, Pottstown, PA, where she touched up photos by hand.
During WWII, she worked for Jacobs Aircraft.
Mrs. Bauer enjoyed working with children.
She helped with the day care at the Y.W.C.A. for many years.
She enjoyed drawing and at the Park House Providence, created cards which were sold in the gift store to benefit the facility.
Survivors include: One Son - John David Bauer of Lebanon, PA, One Daughter - Tillie Marie, wife of Thomas Kinsley of Davie, FL, One Brother - Rev. Frank G. Ladner of Hixon, TN, One Grandson - Dwayne Aaron McCall; One Cousin - Eleanor Jones of Pottstown, PA, Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Aleen Ladner and Fernee Marshall.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her life celebration 2 P.M. on Friday, August 11, 2006 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Pottstown, PA.
The Rev. W. Carter Lester will officiate.
A viewing will be held from 12:30 P.M. - 2 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 750 Evans Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 or to the American Heart Association 625 West Ridge Pike, Building A-100, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Richard Ross Rebert
Richard Ross Rebert, 86, of Mobile, Alabama, formerly of
Pottstown, died July 27th in St. Frances Hospital, Memphis, TN.
Born In Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Nelson Taylor
Rebert and Pearl Francis Rebert.
A resident of Mobile, Alabama for over 30 years he was a member of the Fairhope, Alabama Society of Friends (Quakers).
He belonged to the Hiram Takoma Park DC#10 Masonic Lodge for over 60 years.
A World War II veteran, he served with the 165th Combat Engineers Battalion in the European Theatre of Operations.
He received a PhD in Anatomy from Vanderbilt University.
Since retirement from Merck & Company in 1975, he worked for EMS/Diatome of Hatfield, Pennsylvania.
He was active in many charitable & community organizations: L’Arche, Mobile
SPCA, The Elephant Sanctuary (Hohenwald, TN), American Friends
Service Committee.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Beryl Holland Rebert; three children, James Marshall Rebert of Mobile,  daughters Priscilla Donalson of Mobile and Prudence Irwin of Great Neck, NY; two granddaughters and five great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 10:00 am in the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St, Pottstown, Rev. John Smolik, officiating.
Relatives & friends will be received from 9-10 am in the funeral home.
Interment following at Mt Zion Cemetery, Pottstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Friends Service Committee, 1501 Cherry St, Philadelphia, PA 19102 (www.afsc.org).

Connie A. Hutt
Connie A. Hutt, 59 of Boyertown, died August 9th at Sea Pines Campground of Swainton, NJ.
She was the wife of Daniel J.W. Hutt.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Nels T. Dilks and C. Pauline (Bradford) Dilks.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Boyertown.
She was employed by Precision Polymers as a quality control inspector for 6 years, last working on August 4th.
She was an avid Nascar fan, and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.
She was a Neil Diamond Fan, and enjoyed the Phantom of the Opera. Surviving in addition to her husband are two  daughters, Bonnie Lee Frederick, Boyertown, PA., Kimberly A. Kershner, Pottstown, PA.; one step daughter, Diana Migliaccio, Gilbertsville, PA.; one step son, Dana J. Hutt, Nashville, TN; Ten grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by one sister, Shirley Via, and one great granddaughter, Abigail Frederick.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am in the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N Charlotte St., Pottstown.
Sister Millicent J. Drake, Officiating.
Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday from 6-8pm in the funeral home, and Monday from 9:30 to 10:00 am.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
Memorial contributions my be made in her memory to the North American Bluebird Society, Inc., PO Box 43, Miamiville, OH 45147.

Michael K. Fitzgerald
Michael K. Fitzgerald, 43 of Boyertown, died April 23rd at 7:25 am in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of Patrick Fitzgerald of Arroyo Grande, California. He was a 1982 graduate of Boyertown High School, and a US Navy veteran.
He enjoyed his swimming pool, and vacationing in Jamaica.
He was also a NASCAR fan.
Surviving in addition to his  Father is a companion Michelle M. Strain with whom he resided.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N Charlotte St., Pottstown.
Relatives and friends will be received from 9-10 am in the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Cancer Center of Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, 1600 E High St., Pottstown, PA. 19464.

Eleanor Davidheiser
Eleanor Davidheiser, 85 of Pottstown, died April 22nd in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
She was the wife of the late W. Farel Davidheiser.
Born in Pottstown, PA., she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Hartenstine) Hampton.
She was employed by Honeywell Corp. for many years until she retired.
She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Pottstown.
She enjoyed her family and friends as well as playing cards.
She is survived by one son, Charles F. “Bud” husband of Janice Davidheiser, Gilbertsville, PA.; one daughter, Barbara A. wife of Steve Spontak, Wayne, ILL.; two sisters, Ruth Romig, and Mercy Anthony, both of Pottstown, PA.; six grandchildren, Stephen, Gregory, Mark, and Michael Spontak, all of ILL, Nan Tindall, Douglassville, PA., Ryan Davidheiser, Boyertown, PA.; 9 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Davidheiser was predeceased in death by one brother, William Hampton.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N Charlotte St., Pottstown.
Rev. Burlington Latshaw, III, officiating.
Relatives and friends will be received from 10-11 am in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 150 N Hanover St., Pottstown, PA. 19464.
