YORK - Viola B. (Rearrick) Desenberg, 73, of York, died Monday, September 3, 2001, at York Hospital. She was the wife of James L. Desenberg.

There will be a private family viewing followed by cremation at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Desenberg was born July 7, 1928, in Union County, PA. She was the daughter of the late Vernis G. and Sarah C. (Zearfoss) Rearrick.

Mrs. Desenberg is also survived by a son, Earl Staler of Scranton, PA; a daughter, Kathy Staler of California; two grandchildren; a stepmother, Pauline Hendricks of Mifflin, PA; and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy (nee Featherly) Deaver AGE: 83

OF: Chester, PA formerly of Eddystone, PA

DIED: Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Fair Acres

Born: Eddystone, PA Had Been A Resident of Eddystone, PA For 58 years, Before Moving To Chester, PA, 23 years ago.

EMPLOYMENT: Mrs. Deaver and her husband owned a variety store at 9th & Saville in Eddystone for 12 years until 1971 and she was also the owner of Dottie's Corner Deli which was located across the street from the variety store.

SURVIVORS: Wife of the late Joseph T. Deaver who died in 1991; She is survived by Two sons: Robert D. Deaver of Milmont Park, PA and Wayne A. Deaver of Aston, PA; a Daughter: Alberta D. Davies of Virginia; Also survived by Eight Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren. Was the mother of the late Joseph L. Deaver who died in 2002.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday from The Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment Chester Rural cemetery, Chester, PA.

Other: A woman devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed swimming and while in school played the trombone.

SURVIVORS: Wife of the late George DePaola who died in 1982; She is survived by Four sons: George DePaola of Middletown Twp., PA, Steve DePaola of Ridley Twp., PA, James DePaola of Ridley Twp., PA and Ken DePaola of Lincoln University, PA; A Brother: Joseph Kain of Levittown, PA; Also survived by Four Grandchildren.

Other: Mrs. DeRosa was a woman devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and crocheting blankets.

DeRosa, Jr. of Middletown Twp., PA; Two  daughters: Grace Braun of Harrisburg, PA and Joyce Harter of Elkton, Maryland; A Sister: Patrinella Holmes of Scottsdale, Arizona; Three brothers: Frank Rybel of Florida, Matthew and Adolph Rybel both of Philadelphia, PA; Also survived by Eleven Grandchildren and Twenty Nine Great-Grandchildren and Sixteen Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister of the late Walter Rybel and Tony Rybel, Adele Babbitt and John Yankounis.

Derr Jr., W. Rodman

DERR, W. RODMAN, JR., passed away at his home on Monday June 7. He was 71. Survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Sandra (nee Davis) of Atco, NJ, his brother Kenneth T. Derr and his wife, Donna of San Francisco, CA, his four children, W. Rodman Derr III of Marlton, NJ, Alice A. Hancock of Apollo Beach, FL, Vickie L. Derr of Marlton, NJ, and Sandra Derr of Schuylkill Haven, PA, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his long-time canine friend, Suzie. A graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Rod went on to graduate with the Class of 1954 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the PA Delta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a member of the American Society of Chemical Engineers throughout his long career with Mobil Oil Corporation, where he was recognized with many patents and awards for his work as a Senior Consultant in Research and Development. Rod was a Past-President of the Republican Club of Voorhees, NJ, president of the Voorhees Township Schools Board of Education, an active member and deacon at Berlin Baptist Church, Berlin, NJ and a beloved member of their choir for over 30 years. There will be a Memorial Service for family and friends at Berlin Baptist Church at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 11. Memorial donations may be made in Rod's name to: Berlin Baptist Church, 90 E. Smith; uncle of Mary Ellen (Jim) Quaile, Teresa (Jack) McCausland and Kathryn (Brian) Smith Roberts; Grandfather of Four. SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife Mary (nee Fithian) DiVito; A Son Jared DiVito of Brookhaven, PA; Also survived by Three sisters, One Brother, Nieces and Nephews. He was the son of the late Viola and Anthony DiVito Jr. and Brother of the late Anthony DiVito III.

EMPLOYED: Chester County Local Union #465 AS A Carpenter for 33 years. RETIRED August 2003.

VETERAN: US Navy Serviced on the USS Simon Lake in Dundee, Scotland They provided the Nuclear Submarines with all of their supplies.

ORGANIZATIONS: An avid tennis player he enjoyed playing both doubles and singles and participated in several tournaments. Was a member Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern, PA. During his High School years he liked listening to and playing music.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his mother: Betty (Dehnert) Dugan of Newtown Square, PA; Son of the late Bill Dugan who died in 2000; Brother of the late Kevin Dugan who died in 1987 and Danny Dugan who died in 1976.

Born: Marcus Hook, PA HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF Brookhaven, PA FOR 45 Years, BEFORE MOVING TO Palm Coast, Florida, 9 YEARS AGO.

EMPLOYMENT: Homemaker

ORGANIZATIONS: Member of Elks Women's Auxiliary in Palm Coast, Florida. Mrs. Donaway loved and spent a great deal of time working with various types of crafts especially needle point. She enjoyed flowers, walking, reading novels and cooking.

SURVIVORS: Survived by her husband of 52 years, Howard Donaway; Three sons: Howard (Vawn) Donaway of Brookhaven, PA, Dave Donaway of Orlando, Florida and Steve Donaway of Coral Springs, Florida; Also survived by Three Grandchildren.
