EDUCATION: Graduate Beacon High School, Class of 1936

VETERAN: Army WAR World War II PLACE OF SERVICE: Served as Staff Sergeant in the 8th POE Transportation Corp-MTO-North Africa-Italy. Lew received an honorable discharge on November 22, 1945

EMPLOYED: Emery & Webb Insurance, Fishkill, New York AS: Insurance Agent FOR 35 years RETIRED 1980

ORGANIZATIONS: CHURCH: Member First Presbyterian Church, Beacon, New York
Other: A man devoted to his home and family.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 55 years Madeline E. (nee Steitz) Schiller; A Daughter and Son-in-Law: Barbara and David Hornbach of Wallingford, PA; Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

SERVICE INFORMATION: A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Beacon, New York. Arrangements by The Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

MEMORIAL GIFTS: In lieu of flowers, donations in Lew's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 West 168th Street, New York, New York 10032-9982; or a Charity of the Donor's choice.

SUTTON, Fredrick Earl

On May 12, 2004, of Marlton at age 77. Beloved husband of Doris (nee Kuttruf) Loving  Father of Fredrick Earl Sutton, Jr. (Terry) of Atco. Devoted grandfather of Joseph Sutton, Jennifer Himes (Randy), Bill Reinhardt (Kellie) and James Reinhardt; great grandfather of Anthony (AJ) , Kerrie, Krista and Kathryn. Dear brother of Charles of Voorhees , Donald of Shamong, and the late Phyllis Berg, Loretta Jacovelli, Raymond and Edward Sutton. Also survived by his sisters in law Esther Iezzi (Dan), and Eleanore, wife of the late Albert Kuttruf, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Sutton served honorably in the Navy during World War II and Korea. He formerly worked for the Pine Valley Golf Club, the Pennsylvania Railroad, Haines Block Plant, Lucas Paint Works, Mauriello Construction, and retired from Evesham Township after 25 years of service. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Lindenwold. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 10-12 noon Monday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, RT 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Funeral Service 12 noon Monday at the Funeral Home. Interment Berlin cemetery, Berlin.

Suozzo, Edward C.

Edward C. Suozzo, age 76 of Long Branch died Thursday, May 13 at his  daughters home in Howell. He was a self employed salesperson. He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He was past president of the Long Branch Knights of Columbus, Lodge 336; a member of IAMA, Long Branch; Long Branch BPOE, Lodge # 742 and a Tri-City Little League Baseball Coach. Born in Long Branch, he was a life resident. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene Walsh Suozzo in 1997. Surviving are two sons, Joseph C. Suozzo from Lafayette and Nicholas J. Suozzo of Long Branch; two  daughters, Kathleen Houlihan of Howell and Theresa Suozzo of Long Branch; 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Monday, May 17, from 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral Tuesday May 18, 8:00 am from the funeral home with a 9:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Brigadier Gen. WM C. Doyle Veterans cemetery, Wrightstown. Memorial donations are requested to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.

Summerville, Joseph A.

SUMMERVILLE, JOSEPH A., Age 80, of the Leisuretown section of Southampton, died suddenly June 26, 2004. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Frumolt). Loving  Father of Mark (Kathy) of Medford, Darlene Hammel (Fred) of Mantua, Cara Foy of Deptford, stepfather to Denise Landell (Phil) of Westampton and Kevin Maruska (Wendy) of Montana, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Veteran of the US Navy. He served in the Pacific during WWII as a Seabee. Joseph was a retired member of Local #19 Sheetmetal Workers out of Pa. He was a longtime resident of Deptford where he served as Past President of Deptford Midgets. He also coached Little League and Junior football. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday July 1 from 8:45-10:45 AM at Holy Eucharist Church, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Joseph's name to: The Karl Wienberg Scholarship Fund of Local #19, 1301 S. Sullender, Edward D.

SULLENDER, on November 15, 2001, Edward D. of Mt Laurel NJ, formerly of Pennsauken. Age 83. Beloved husband of Mae Sullender (nee Wenke). Also survived by Catherine S. Dori and Dae S. Medman and many loving nieces and nephews. He is the son of the late Charles H. Sullender and the late Catherine Barr Sullender. He was a 1936 graduate of Moorestown High School and a 1958 graduate of Temple University. He enlisted in the US Army AirCorps in 1941 and served for 4 years. A Retired Systems Analyst, Mr. Sullender was employed with the US Navy, General Stores Supply Officer, Northeast Philadelphia and US Naval Supply Systems Command in Washington DC, retiring in 1973 after 26 years of service. Relatives and friends are invited tot he viewing on Tuesday from 9:30-11:00am where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton NJ (856) 983-1005. Interment

Stranieri, Giovanni

GIOVANNI STRANIERI, 82, of LONG BRANCH, died Friday, Feb. 7, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a retired, self-employed mason, and a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Italy, he moved to Long Branch 50 years ago.

He was predeceased by his wife, Antonia Cristofaro Stranieri, in 1996; and a sister, Barbara Strin. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Nicola and Susan Stranieri of Brick; four  daughters and sons-in-law, Rosina and Salvatore Chiriano of Italy, Barbara Maria and Salvatore Ferragina of Long Branch; Lina and Antonio Gulli of Italy, and Yolanda and David Wianecki of Lakewood; a brother, Salvatore Stranieri of Long Branch; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. A funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. Entombment will be in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.

STANTE, MINNIE E.

(nee Ettore) on February 9, 2003 of Tabernacle formerly of the Cramer Hill section of Camden age 88 years.

Beloved wife of the late, Joseph; Devoted mother of Anna Droege and Josephine Stante; Loving grandmother of Jennifer Carmody, Jeanne Droege and Laura Acampa and great grandmother of 8; Dear sister of Anna MacDonnell.

Prior to retirement in 1984, Mrs. Stante was employed at McMillians Bood Company in Riverside, NJ for 21 years. She was an active parishioner at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Camden, NJ and was also a member of their Rosary and Altar Society.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11 AM at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 28th St. And River Road in Camden; where there will be a viewing from 10 AM. Interment Calvary cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Convent of Divine Love, 2212 Green St. Philadelphia, PA 19130-3197.

Stephens, Elaine G.

Elaine G. Stephens, 78, of Rio Grande, died on Friday, May 28, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in the Rio Grande area for the past 38 years. Elaine was a retired insurance agent and enjoyed singing, arts and crafts, music, along with her endless quest to think of everyone's birthday with a little card and gift.

She is survived by her three children, Paul of Rio Grande, Bradley of Erma, and Jill Allen and her husband, Tim of Franklinton, NC; her four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Stephens.

Our mother will be sorely missed with her feisty charm and wit. We will always love ya Mom!

Sterner, Ella D.

Sterner, Ella "Scotty" D., 88, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at the Lutheran Home of Ocean View. Born in Cleveland, OH to the late Edward and Della (Curnow) Helmetag, she summered here all of her life. She lived in Pitman before moving to Florida in 1982 and returned here in May 2003. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially quilting.

She is survived by her children, Frank Sterner of Turnersville, Barbara Aschenbrenner of Centerville, OH, and Lynne Focht of South Dennis; her brothers, William and Edward Helmetag of Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sterner in 1985.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Avalon, 34th Street and Dune Drive. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210.

Stevens, Helen F. (nee Abel)

On January 14, 2004 Of West Grove, PA and Formerly of Middletown Heights, PA; mother of Mary (Richard) Messick with whom she lived; Grandmother of Pamela Kuhn and Richard Messick, Jr; Also survived by Two Great-Grandchildren. Born: Mt. Carmel, PA HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF Chester, PA BEFORE MOVING TO Aston, PA 42 years ago.

EDUCATION: Graduate Chester High School Class of 1946

EMPLOYMENT: Millwright Local Union #1906 AS Millwright EMPLOYED FOR 30 years. RETIRED 1981

VETERAN: US Navy served during WW II and the Korean War Recipient World War II Victory Medal

ORGANIZATIONS: A man, who was a devoted Husband,  Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, he enjoyed being with his family and travelling. He was a 50 year Charter member of Millwright Local Union #1906 and also a member of the American Legion Post #28, Delaware.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 52 years Elizabeth (nee Smedley) Stanaitis; Two  daughters: Diane Stanaitis at home and Elizabeth (Edwin) Cieslak of Bethel, PA; Two sons: David W. Stanaitis of Chadds Ford, PA and Joseph H. Stanaitis of Delaware; Three brothers: Robert Stanaitis of Delaware, Raymond Stanaitis of New Jersey and Leon Stanaitis of Pennsylvania; A Sister: Evelyn Chemeycz of Michigan; Also survived by Five Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren; Brother of the late Helene Cenatiempo.
