CHADWICK, Joseph 
1916 - 2006
Joseph passed away at home on November 17, 2006. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 61 years Helen Wilson Chadwick. He is survived by son Joseph, daughter Claire Blalock, 4 grandsons Marty, Bill, Brian and Doug, 2 great - grandsons Dale and Ryan and a beatiful loving companion June Aff. He is also survived by brother Andrew and sister Marie Kershaw.   He was a special person and will be missed by all. MILDRED RUTH  Mildred “Millie” Ruth of Sou derton, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peace fully, comforted by her family, January 9, 2007, in Grand View Hospital, three days shy of her 81st birthday.  Born January 12, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Eva Nyce, growing up in Hatfield, prior to moving to Souderton, where she graduated from Souderton Area High School.  She was the devoted wife of Melvin F. Ruth, having celebrated 60 years of marriage, November 17th.  Also surviving are two sons, Stephen S. Ruth and his wife, Cynthia, of Franconia Town ship, and Randall C. Ruth and his wife, Patricia C., of Harleysville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Amy, Kevin, Adam, Brian, and Lauren Ruth; as well as her brother, Ernest “Bud” Nyce of Telford; and sisters, Dorothy and her husband, John “Jim” Greene, of Souderton, Edith Peirce of Lansdale, and Thelma and her husband, John Petraits, of Ambler.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Magee; four brothers - in - law, Harold Magee, Harry Leister, Sr., James Peirce and Joseph Melograna; a sister - in - law, Lorraine “Etta” Nyce; and nephews, Edward and Patrick Magee.  Mrs. Ruth was a homemaker when her sons were in school, later being employed by the former Klee’s Restaurant and Yocum and Godshalk’s Department Store, both of Souderton, and Harleysville Insurance Company.  She was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ in Souderton for more than 40 years.  She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Perserverance Volunteer Fire Company of Souderton.  Mrs. Ruth’s world revolved around her family to the very end of her life. She enjoyed at tending high school sporting events involving her sons and grandchildren. She enjoyed the annual vacations to the shore, as well as trips with her husband. Mrs. Ruth enjoyed caring for her home, cooking for her family and playing card games with her sisters.  Mom - Mom was an incredible inspiration to all her family. Having been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in June 2004, she fought an unbelievable battle to the very end, never complaining and always hope ful. We’ve lost our angel, but heaven now has a beautiful new angel to behold. We’ll miss you so much Mom, and we’ll always love you.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 700 Horizon Cir cle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914, or Grand View Hospital, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960. The family ex tends heartfelt thanks to the nurses of Grand View Hospital for their caring and concern.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 2 PM, Sunday, January 14 at the Williams - Bergey - Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike (Route 113), Franconia, where friends may call from 1 to 2PM. Interment will follow at Christ UCC cemetery in Kulpsville.
