H. Mary Rowe
H. Mary Rowe, 89, of Elizabethville, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2003, at her residence.
Born in Dalmatia, she was a daughter of the late Carmi and Kathryn Bahner.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Elizabethville. She was a retired seamstress for the former Elizabethville Dress Factory and had memberships with Farm Women's Group No. 11, Elizabethville; Glen Chapter No. 425, OES, Lykens; Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America; OZEMB Temple No. 52, Daughters of the Nile; Order of the Amaranth, Inc., No.134, Millersburg; and Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Bethany Shrine No. 7.
Surviving are her husband of more than 62 years, Martin L. Rowe; a nephew, Kenneth Bahner of Dalmatia; and a niece, Lena Kupp of Elizabethville.
Services were held on Saturday, May 3, at her church. Interment was in Maple Grove cemetery, Elizabethville. Hoover Funeral Home, Inc., Elizabethville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Pinchorski
Mary Pinchorski, 95, formerly of Williamstown, died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Tremont Nursing Center, Tremont.
Born in Coal Castle, Cass Twp., Schuylkill County, May 15, 1907, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Klosaknata Kalochie.
She retired as a seamstress in the garment industry and was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, Williamstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Pinchorski.
Surviving are a son, Robert Pinchorski of Hummelstown; a brother, Michael Kalochie of Saint Clair; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 10, at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home, Inc., Minersville. Office of Christian Burial was celebrated in Saint Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Minersville, with the Rev. Michael Mondik officiating. Interment was in Sacred Heart cemetery, Williamstown. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home, Inc., Minersville, was in charge of arrangements.

Isabel G. Perhach
Isabel G. Perhach, 95, of Willamstown, died Friday, May 9, 2003, at the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
Born in Tamaqua on April 19, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Agnes Semnus Lutkus.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Williamstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; and two sons, Paul L. and Joseph R.
Surviving are a daughter, Cecelie A. Snody of Tower City; two sons, James M. Perhach of Adelphi, MD, Robert A. Perhach of Etters; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, May 13, from her church, with the Rev. Robert Panza officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 140 E. Market Street, Williamstown, 17098. Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Williamstown, was in charge of arrangements.

Betty L. Peck
Betty Louise Peck, 79, of Halifax, died Monday, May 5, 2003, at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born March 22, 1924 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Wilson and Jennie Wright Wilson.
She was a member of Zions Stone United Methodist Church, Halifax.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Halifax VFW Post 5750, Millersburg American Legion Post 326 Auxiliary, and the Millersburg Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Peck, who died on September 11, 1973.
Surviving are three sons, James H. Peck, Jr., William Peck and Larry 'Chuck' Peck, all of Halifax; three daughters, Suzette Kuhn of Halifax, Linda Cook of Lansdale, and Patti Coady of Halifax; a brother, Wayne 'Buddy' Wilson of New Bloomfield; three sisters, Pauline Wickerhiser of Linglestown, Jane Suhay of Reading, and Helen Coy of Dillsburg; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Religious services were held Friday, May 9, at the Reinhard Funeral Home, with Rev. Jennifer Parks-Snyder officiating. Interment was in Long's cemetery, Halifax.
Donations may be made to Zions Stone United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 529, Halifax, 17032. Reinhard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Glenn C. Masser
Glenn C. Masser, 70, of RR 1, Pitman, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at his residence.
Born May 7, 1932, in Pitman, he was a son of Leah E. Rothermel Masser of Serenity Gardens, Kulpmont, and the late John J. Masser.
He was a retired farmer and self-employed businessman, having been the founder of Masser's Restaurant and Catering, Masser's Farm Market, Paxinos Flea Market, and Masser's Chicken & Ribs, all in Paxinos, and the Wayside In At RR 2, Shamokin.
He was a 1950 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ Church, Leck Kill; the Mahantongo Fire Company, Pitman; and the Lower Northumberland County Motor Club.
In addition to his father, John J. Masser who died in 1956, he was preceded in death by an infant son in 1962; his step-father, Clement Masser in 2002; and three grandchildren, Tyrone, Toni, and Amanda Wehry in 1998.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carole Y. Hubler Masser; two daughters, Barbara Wehry of RR 1, Dornsife, and Karen Appel of Elysburg; for sons, Steven of RR 1, Pitman, Brian of RR 2, Shamokin, John of Paxinos, and Kurt of Elysburg; a brother, John Masser of Klingerstown; a step-brother, Mark Masser of RR 1, Pitman; three step-sisters, June Haas of RR 1, Lewisburg, Diana Klinger, and Joan Troutman, both of RR 1, Klingerstown; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 6, from Christ United Church of Christ Church, Leck Kill, with the Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating. Interment was in Jacob's cemetery, RR 1, Pitman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Church of Christ Church Memorial Fund, Leck Kill 17836, or to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third Street, Williamsport, 17701. The Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RR 1, Klingerstown, was in charge of arrangements.

Russell H. Lentz
Russell H. Lentz, 91, of Halifax, died Sunday May 4, 2003, at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born in Halifax on July 27, 1911, he was a son of the late Sam and Francis Baddorf Lentz.
He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Harrisburg; was a member of Miller's Church, Halifax, and Straw's Sunday School, Halifax.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys V. Miller Lentz; and a brother, Galen Lentz.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean M. Wise of Halifax; a sister, Mary Laudenslager of Halifax; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Hoover Funeral Home, Inc., Elizabethville, on Thursday, May 8, with the Rev. Ray Hackett officiating. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Enders.
Memorial donations may be made to his church, 638 Miller's Church Road, Halifax, 17032. Hoover Funeral Home, Inc., Elizabethville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mildred C. Krammes
Mildred C. Krammes, 91, formerly of Pine Grove, died Friday, May 2, 2003, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Orwigsburg, January 30, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Emma Teichman Krum.
She was the former owner and operator of Murray's Motel, Atlantic City, N.J.
She was a member of Salem Hetzel's United Church of Christ, Pine Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude R.; a son, Kenneth Krammes; and a great-grandson, Eric Jenkins.
Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Miller and Faye Dissinger, both of Pine Grove, and Donna Griffiths, of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the convenience of the family from H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with the Rev. William A. Pifer-Foote officiating. Interment was in Manbeck's cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, was in charge of arrangements.

Edward L. Krammes
Edward L. Krammes, 65, of Joliett, died Friday, May 2, 2003, at home.
Born in Washington Township, May 25, 1937, he was a son of the late Arthur and Bessie Krause Krammes.
He had been employed as a forklift operator for 40 years at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph; two brothers, Bruce and Floyd; and a sister, Dorothea Kutz.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Gale A. Wetzel; a son, Kerry of Tremont; a daughter, Tammy Kutsey of Pine Grove; six brothers, Allen of Summit Station, Clarence of New Hampshire, Arthur and Robert, both of Tremont, Thomas of Pine Grove, and Bill of Harrisburg; two sisters, Minerva Ritter of Philadelphia, and Eva Kramer of Pine Grove; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, May 6, from H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Barry Brown officiating. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Tremont. H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, was in charge of arrangements.

John F. Kramer
John F. "Jack" Kramer, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Williamstown, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at home.
Born November 19, 1925 in Williamstown, he was a son of the late H. Lee Kramer and Helen McNellis Kramer.
He was a graduate of Williamstown Catholic High School, Class of 1943. He enlisted in the United States Navy and was selected to participate in the US Navy Pilot Training Program and was a Veteran of World War II. He attended the Harrisburg Extension of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and received his LLB degree from LaSalle Extension University, Chicago, IL. He retired in 1993 as the Claim Manager for the Harrisburg Branch Office of the USF&G; Insurance Company with 38 years of service and following retirement, was a consultant for USF&G; as well as other insurance companies. He was a Past President of the Harrisburg Claim Executives Council and a former chairman of the Intercompany Arbitration Committee. He was a former parishioner of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg, where he had been Vice Chairman of its Parish Advisory Council; presently a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola; a member of American Legion Post No. 239, Williamstown; Knights of Columbus, Enola; a 4th Degree Member of the Bishop J. W. Shanahan Assembly, Harrisburg; the Navy League of the United States; Mechanicsburg Commissioned Officer's Mess; a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans; a Life member of the Harrisburg Claims Association; a member of the Insurance Retiree Luncheon Group and the Men of Malvern Retreat League.
He was a trombonist and had played with several area dance bands and was a former member of Musicians Union Local 269, American Federation of Musicians. He was a founding member of the American Legion Post 239 Band of Williamstown, which later became the Williamstown Military Band. He had been a member of the Bonnie Scots Drum and Bugle Corps of Millersburg, the Harrisburg Moose Band, the Harrisburg American Legion Post 27 Band, the Bainbridge Band and the New Hollan Band. He was a member and supporter of the Harrisburg Symphony Association.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Burke Kramer, who died November 1, 1969.
Surviving are his Julie Guyer Kramer; a son, J. Lee Kramer of Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Susan Dann of Ambler, and Carolyn O'Kane of Cherry Hill, NJ; a step-daughter, Allison E. Deeb of Brooklyn, NY; a step-son, Adam S. Kramer of Williamstown; three sisters, Rita M. Bordner of Lykens, Marion D. Unger of Maple Glen, and Anne M. Romberger of Williamstown; four grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, May 10, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. Interment was in Sacred Heart cemetery, Williamstown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Road, Enola, 17025 or to American Legion Post No. 239, Williamstown, 17098. Neill Funeral Home, Camp Hill, was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Koppenheffer
Betty Koppenheffer, 77, of Carlisle, died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 30, 1926 in Millersburg, she was the daughter of the late David R. and Blanche Stupy Daniels.
She was a graduate of Millersburg High School; a member of the American Business Women's Association, Carlisle; and a member of the First United Church of Christ, Carlisle. She was a former office clerk for Kinney Shoe Co., Carlisle, and was also the Desk Attendant at the Dickinson College Klein Center, Carlisle.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Daniels.
Surviving are her husband, Jack R. Koppenheffer of Carlisle; a son, David Koppenheffer of Harrisburg; a daughter, Jane Hamilton of Rochester, NY; a brother, Robert Daniels of Millersburg; a sister, Mary Hallgren of Mount Joy; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, May 13, in the First United Church of Christ, Carlisle, with the Rev. Wanda C. Veldman and Rev. Lynn R. Schultz officiating. Interment was at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3211 North Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, 17110.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
