Bruce D. Koppenhaver
Bruce D. Koppenhaver, 75, of Halifax, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at his home.

Born in Lykens Twp., September 29, 1927, he was a son of the late George L. Koppenhaver and Irene Troutman Koppenhaver of Elizabethville, who survives him.

He was a member Miller's Church in Halifax.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Elsie Schwalm Koppenhaver; sister, Sara Doe of Tower City; brothers, Larry of Manheim, Richard of Elizabethville, and Paul of Cornvallis, MT; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday, April 28, at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville. Interment with Military Honors was at Maple Grove cemetery, Elizabethville. Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville, was in charge of arrangements.

Julia Klamt
Julia S. Klamt, 73, of Pine Grove, died Friday, April 19, 2003, at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

Born in Baltimore, Md., October 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Norbert and Gertrude Gossman Slater. She was a 1947 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Moylan.

She retired as a service representative for Bell Telephone Co.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She was a member of Swatara Village Crafts Club, United States Power Squad, Susquahannock Division, past secretary, past vice president and past president of Seabelles and member of Power Squad Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Crandley; a brother, Norbert Slater.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Harvey J.; two daughters, Mary Ellen Hodson of Quarreyville, and Eileen Marie Labowski of Zionsville; a sister, Norma Morgan of West Chester; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, April 24, from H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with the Rev. James Burdess officiating. Interment was in Indiantown Gap National cemetery, Annville.

Margaret Herring
Margaret Herring, 95, of Tremont, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Tremont.

Born in Juniata County October 20, 1907, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret Jones Shirk.

She was a member of the Donaldson United Methodist Church and a former member of the Tremont Republican Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Renninger; her husband, Earl Herring, who died in 1989; and a son, Larry Renninger, who died in 2000.

Surviving are a son, Edward Allison of Bryn Athryn; a daughter, Elsie Kendall of Lafayette; a sister, Marry Hatter of Virginia Beach, VA; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at the Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont, , with the Rev. Ira Lydic officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until time of service. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Tremont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Donaldson United Methodist Church, Donaldson.

Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont, is handling arrangements.

Julia Grimm
Julia M. Grimm, 91, of IHS Woodlands, Hershey, formerly of Pine Grove, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at IHS Woodlands.

Born in Pine Grove, January 25, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Fannie Koble Mease.

She was a member of Jacob's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon; a brother, Linebrandt Mease; a sister, Florence Dubbs.

Surviving are a sister, June Keefer of Lebanon; a half sister, Virginia Bonawitz of Souderton; nieces and nephews.

Services were held Tuesday, April 29, from Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown. Interment was in Grand View Memorial Park, North Annville Township, Lebanon County. Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown, was in charge of arrangements.

Pauline Coleman
Pauline E. Coleman, 87, of RD Herndon, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland County.

Born at Lykens RD, October 15, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Tillie Smeltz Goodman.

She had been employed as a seamstress at the Pillow Garment Factory, Pillow. She was a member of Zion Stone Valley UCC Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Coleman.

Surviving are a sister, Mildred Boyer of Millersburg, a brother, Melvin Smeltz of Dalmatia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, April 28, from the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, with the Rev. J. Robert Snyder officiating. Interment was in Stone Valley cemetery. James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, was in charge of arrangements.

Carl F. Wildermuth
Carl F. Wildermuth, 70, of Pine Grove, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, where he had been patient for a week.

Born in Wayne Township, June 15, 1932, he was a son of the late Harry and Mary Ellen Laubenstein Wildermuth.

He worked as an auto mechanic most of his life.

He was a member of St. Mark's "Brown's" United Church of Christ, Wayne Township.

Surviving are a brother, Bruce of Orwigsburg; two sisters, Shirley Brensinger of Yuma, Ariz. and Dawn Martin of Anaheim, Calif.

Services were held Tuesday, April 22, from Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Interment was in St. Mark's "Brown's" cemetery, Washington Township. Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven, was in charge of arrangements.

Christa A. Ulsh
Christa Ann Ulsh, 34, of Elizabethville, died on Good Friday, April 18, 2003, at home.

Born on June 30, 1968, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of Aleck, Jr., and Mary Carol Timko of Lykens.

She graduated from Williams Valley High School in 1986. She was a former employee of Metal Industries, Inc., performing duties as a Customer Service Group Leader. She was a member of Lykens United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Children's Ministries Program.

She worked making crafts for the family business, "Hearts and Home Crafts by C.A.C.E."

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Steven E. Ulsh; a son, Nathaniel and a daughter, Madison, all of Elizabethville; a sister, Annette Malick of Spring Glen; a maternal grandmother, Marguerite Dietrich of Wiconisco; and a paternal grandmother, Helen Timko, also of Wiconisco.

Services were held on Tuesday, April 22 at Lykens United Methodist Church, with the Pastor Keith J. Schmuck officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove cemetery, Elizabethville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 3211 N. Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, 17110.

Gladys M. Straub
Gladys Marie Straub, 80, of Millersburg, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.

Born December 29, 1922 in Millersburg, she was a daughter of the late Howard Wilbert and Martha Zerby.

She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1940. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Millersburg, where she was a former Sunday School teacher, pianist and church organist and sang in the church choir for over 50 years. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and service unit director, and former member of the Women of the Moose, both in Millersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Straub, who died June 1997.

Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Ibberson of Millersburg, and Patricia Hummel of York; and seven grandchildren.

Religious service were held Monday, April 21, at Grace United Methodist Church, Millersburg, with Rev. Floyd S. Sollenberger, Jr. and Rev. Dennis Hummel, officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery, Millersburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church's Memorial Fund, 982 Medical Road, Millersburg, PA 17061.

Reinhard Funeral Home, Inc., Millersburg, was in charge of arrangements.

Brenner L. Roadcap
Brenner Lee Roadcap, infant son of Derrick and Nicole Roadcap of Millersburg, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Harrisburg Hospital.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Alex at home; maternal grandparents, Ron and Karen Hoover of Halifax and Jim and Ronda Neubold of Millersburg; paternal grandparents, Gary and Ellen Roadcap of Valley View; Paternal great-grandparents, Ward and Elanor Roadcap of Millersburg; and maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Miller.

Carmen E. Rhein
Carmen E. Rhein, 41, of Pine Grove, died Monday. April 14, 2003, at home.

Born in Pottsville, December 7, 1961, she was a daughter of the late Charles McGrath and the late Carolyn Spicher Schnoke.

She was previously employed as a nurse's assistant at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Auburn.

Surviving are a companion, Richard Zerbe of Pine Grove; a daughter, Karolynn F. Currey of RD Pine Grove; a son, Brian K. Herring of Kintnersville; a stepfather, Harry W. Schnoke of RD Pine Grove; a sister, Jane L. Schnoke of RD Pine Grove; two brothers, Charles W. McGrath of Ashland, and Christopher J. McGrath of RD Pine Grove; and a granddaughter.

Memorial services were held Saturday, April 19, from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, with the Rev. Fredrick Fisher officiating. Interment was held at the convenience of the family.

Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, was in charge of arrangements.

Anna I. Pinkerton
Anna I. Pinkerton, 88, formerly of Tower City, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Tremont Health and Rehab.

Born in Orwin on June 15, 1914, she was a daughter of the late William and Jennie Adams Stutzman.

She was a retired Seamstress from the former Bestok Garment Factory, Tower City; and was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ, Orwin.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy in 1971, and a sister, Ruth Lenker.

Surviving are a son, John C. "Jack" Keiter of Tower City; two sisters, Elva Breyer of Lykens, and Eva Foster of Orwin; a step-son, Charles Pinkerton of Williamstown; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a step-great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, April 22, from the St. Peters cemetery, Orwin, with Rev. Edward Gobrecht officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Peters U.C.C., Dietrich Avenue, Orwin, 17980.
