On Tues., Aug. 2, 1977, Helen Walsh Morrison (formerly of McKees Rocks) wife of the late Albert L.; mother of Robert, Lois DREXLER, Ruth ENGLISH and Ronald; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister of Nora BLUMLING, Anna HEINAUER, Stella COCHENOUR and Agnes WILLIAMSON. Friends received McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Time of funeral given later.

MICHAEL MUZIK
On Thursday, July 17, 1947, Michael, of 92 Orchard St., McKees Rocks. Survived by his wife,

HERBERT WILLIAM ICKES
Funeral services for Herbert William Ickes, a locomotive engineer of 719 Bouquet street, McKees Rocks, who died Friday in Mercy Hospital, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Clever and Stover funeral home, 534 Island Avenue, McKees Rocks. Mr. Ickes was an employee of the Montour Railroad 20 years and had been a resident of McKees Rocks 37 years. He was a member of the IOOF, Knights of Pythias and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Loretta MINDER Ickes; six sons, Harry, Charles, Wade, Hubert, Robert and Herbert; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth BYRON, Lorretta RODGERS and Mrs. Rosella SUMMERS, and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Lutheran cemetery. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Dec 22, 1941

ZINKHAN WILLIAM BENJAMIN
On Thursday, Feb. 8, 1951, William Benjamin, husband of Mrs. Marion McGINNESS Zinkhan; father of Mrs. John H. DAVIS, Mrs. Florence HUDSON, Mrs. Frank PHILLIPS, William B. Jr., Robert G., John E. and Jenings Zinkhan; also five grandchildren survive, Friends received at the A. J. Haser Funeral Home, 512 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks. Funeral services Sunday evening at 8 o'clock. Interment Monday morning at 10 o'clock." (Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - February 10, 1951)

ILARIA STERNIUK ZUBRITZKY
Ilaria (Sterniuk) Zubritzky, wife of the late Dr. Paul D. Zubritzky, of McKees Rocks, Pa., passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2007. She was a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Myron STERNIUK, a Greek Catholic priest in Plymouth; and sister to the late Theodosius Sterniuk, of Camp Hill, Pa.
Born in Dearborn, Mich., she spent most of her life in McKees Rocks. She was a graduate of Bucknell Junior College and Bucknell University, where she majored in English and French, and received a master's degree in English literature from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre.
She taught for the Wyalusing School District while her husband served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Following the end of World War II, she moved with him to McKees Rocks where he started a medical practice. She substitute taught in the McKees Rocks, Stowe and Sto Rox school districts for more than 50 years. Teaching was her true love, and she was well-respected in the school districts. Ilaria was a tireless volunteer for the Ohio Valley General Hospital. She served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary/Ladies Aide Society of Ohio Valley General Hospital three times, and chaired numerous committees, raising monies via bake sales, fashion shows and card parties. She was honored by Ohio Valley General Hospital for 50 years of loyal, dedicated service. She also belonged to the Ohio Valley College Club for more than 50 years and helped raise scholarships for students in the Montour and Sto Rox School Districts. She served Wilkes University Alumni Association as regional vice president and member of the Alumni Board of the university. Ilaria also chaired many reunion committees for her alma mater, Bucknell University. Surviving are her children, Hilary Zubritzky, Dr. Paul M. Zubritzky and Dr. Peter C. Zubritzky, Ph.D. Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. today, from the Valerian F. Szal Funeral Home Inc., 238 Helen St., McKees Rocks, Pa. A Liturgy of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church. Private interment will be held Tuesday at SS. Peter & Paul G.C. cemetery, Plymouth. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Parastas will be held at 7:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be sent to Ohio Valley General Hospital, 100 Heckel Road, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

MICHAEL D. HAAS
Age 51, of Hillsborough, New Jersey, formerly of McKees Rocks, passed away suddenly on November 12, 2008. Beloved husband of Kathleen MULKEEN Haas; devoted father of Christopher and Michael; loving son of Robert and Irene Haas; cherished brother of Robert (Jo-Ann) and Douglas (MiMi); loving son-in-law of Marie Mulkeen and loved brother-in-law of John, Daniel and Richard (Laura) Mulkeen. He was loved by his many nieces and nephews, Tyler and Morgan Haas, Patrick (Lori) and Brian (Rikki Lynn) Mulkeen, Kelly BOGDEN (Ed), Cassie, Nikki and Ally Bogden, and Maria Mulkeen. We will never forget him and will always miss his loving devotion to his family and friends. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8pm MON at MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Twp., 412-771-4455. Funeral Prayers will be 9:30am TUE at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial 10am TUE in St. Malachy Church.
HACKIMER Loretta Jean Hackimer, 56, of Georgetown, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in Beaver County Medical Center, following a courageous battle with a chronic lung disease. She was born May 30, 1951, in McKees Rocks, a daughter of the late Steven and Anna Liba KRULL. Mrs. Hackimer was a graduate of Sto-Rox High School and had worked as an administrative assistant. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald. She enjoyed reading and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. On May 26, 1977, she married Joseph F. Hackimer, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Christopher A. (Terri) Hackimer of Pittsburgh; a daughter, April A. (Shane) YOEST of Muse; a brother, Wesley Krull of McKees Rocks; and five grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brandon and Hayden Hackimer and Rylee and Adasyn Yoest. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, in St. Alphonsus Church, McDonald. Entombment will follow in Beaver cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to AlphaNet, 2937 SW 27th Ave., Suite 305, Coconut Grove, FL 33133.

HUBERT "HERBY" HALL
Age 72, of McKees Rocks, at home surrounded by his family on Tues. Apr. 4, 2006; beloved husband of Gloria, loving father of David (Kim), Darlene (Joe) FEDYSHYN & Darryl; grandfather of Evan, Jacob, Samuel Hall and the late Joey Fedyshyn. Friends received Thurs. and Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 at the VALERIAN F. SZAL Funeral Home Inc, 238 Helen St, McKees Rocks, where a funeral will be held on Sat. 10am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, 555 Grant St, Suite 425, Pgh PA 15219. Herby proudly upheld the traditions of Hall's Cafe for 50+ years. He was a kind and generous man and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Of Kennedy Twp., age 86, on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Husband of the late Constance "Counge" FICARRI, and the late Pauline LESCHAK. Son of the late Vincent J. and Katherine BERCHO. Loving father of Marialana (Paul) BOWSER, and the late Richard A. Safranek. Brother of Ann LEWANDOWSKI, Mary Jane CHARLTON, and the late William, August, Joseph, Louis, Charles Safranek, Margaret BURNHAM & Agnes TISAK. Grandfather of Lori ZENESKI, Paul R. Bowser Jr., Jodi GARDNER, and Richard, Michael & Andrew Safranek, and the late Brian Jude Bowser. Great-grandfather of 12. Also four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. ANNA F. KADLECIK
Age 87, on March 6, 2002, of McKees Rocks, beloved wife of the late John Joseph; mother of
Robert, Ronald, Raymond, Carol BASL and the late Edward and John C. "Jack"; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister of Rose BURBA, Evelyn SHARK and Agnes KLECHA; also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral private. PETER P. KANAI
Peter Kanai, Funeral Home Founder, Dies; He Operated In Four Districts -- Peter P. Kanai, 59 who founded four funeral homes in the Pittsburgh district, died yesterday in West Penn Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Kanai, a past president of the Allegheny County Funeral Directors Assn., began his career in 1910 at McKees Rocks. He had operated funeral homes in Greenfield, the North Side, McKees Rocks and Stowe Township. Mr. Kanai was a life member of the McKees Rocks Elks, had served on McKees Rocks Council and was active in the Boys Club and other organizations. Survived are his widow, Mrs. Mary Christopher Kanai; three daughters, Mrs. John M. KISSELL and Mrs. George C. KONDAS, McKees Rocks, and Mrs. John R. ROBYAK, Alexander, Va.; a son Edward P., Pittsburgh; 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Alex HOSILYK, Mrs Anna HEINAUER, and Mrs. Frank WEINHOFER, all of Mckees Rocks. Friends are being received at the Kanai Funeral Home, 300 Helen Street, McKees Rocks. High mass will be sung at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday with burial in St. Mary's cemetery." (Source: Pittsburgh Press; Saturday July 2, 1949)

DANIEL J. BAKER
Stowe Twp. Daniel J. Baker, age 32, on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001. Beloved son of Dale A. Sr. and Darlene C. Baker; dear brother of Dale A. Baker Jr. and his wife Suzanne; uncle of Nicholas, Jess and Sydney; beloved grandson of Joseph and Loretta McCULLOUGH, Ruth and the late Dom ZANGARO, and Albert and Geraldine Baker; beloved godson of Jean GIRIMONTI and the late Robert Zangaro. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. MICHAEL BALANDIAT
On December 24, 1946 at Allegheny General Hospital, Michael Balandiat, of 325 Campbell Street, McKees Rocks. Survived by his wife, Antonette; and three children; his mother, Mrs. Balandiat; and brother Nicholas. Funeral was held from the Braszo Funeral Home, 310 Ella Street, on Saturday, December 28 at 9:30 a.m., with services at St. Mary's Ukrainian Church.

CHARLES J. "CHUCK" BAYLOR
Age 59, of McKees Rocks, PA, on Friday, February 16, 2007, he was born on October 16, 1947 in Stowe Township, PA, son of the late Joseph E. and Rose Marie (Margiotta) Baylor. Also preceded in death by 2 sons Charles and Joseph Baylor and his brother Joseph Baylor. Loving father of Jason Davidson Baylor of Bellevue, Jesse James Baylor of McKees Rocks and Domenick Joseph Baylor of McKees Rocks. Proud grandfather of Jason Davidson Baylor, Jr. and Damon Michael Baylor. Also survived by 1 niece and 1 nephew. Chuck was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was an avid collector of antique cars and talented, imaginative builder of Harley Davidson motorcycles during his lifetime. He spent most of his 59 years riding Harleys throughout the United States, in recent years Chuck spent a lot of time traveling to South Carolina and Florida where he had many close friends. "Charlie" Baylor loved by many and will be greatly missed and never forgotten by those of us that loved and knew him. Visitation Wednesday 2-9PM at COPELAND'S CORAOPOLIS 867 Fifth Avenue where a Blessing Service will be on Wednesday evening at 8:30PM.
