VIRGINIA J. MICK
CARLISLE, Pa. - Virginia J. Mick, 86, of 2371 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at Carlisle.
Born Sept. 17, 1911, in Mineral County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Arlie C. Sollars and Lucy (Cornell) Sollars. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Olie A. Mick Sr.

Mrs. Mick was a member of the Boiling Springs Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in South Middleton Township. She retired in 1973 from the Carlisle Hospital after 12 years of service.

Surviving are a son, Olie A. Mick Jr., Carlisle; five daughters, Clarice L. Likens, Keyser, W.Va., Ruth M. Gardner and Doris J. Gardner, Carlisle, Vivian G. Baker, Keyser, and Joann E. Gardner, Carlisle; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A viewing will be held at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Brother Ed Dorsey officiating.

Burial will be in the Ashland cemetery, Carlisle.

Memorials may be directed to the Boiling Springs Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 510 Park Drive, Boiling Springs, PA 17007.

DONALD C. "BOSS" MILLER
YORK, Pa. - Donald C. "Boss" Miller, 81, of 117 N. Penn St., York, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at his residence.
Born June 15, 1917, in Ellerslie, Md., he was a son of the late Norman and Valdia (Reichard) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nina M. (Weaver) Miller.

Mr. Miller was a retired tire builder for Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, Cumberland, Md., and attended First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia (Solomon) Miller; three daughters, Bonnie J. Wolford, Lincoln, Neb., Gale Williams, Cumberland, Nina M. Wolf, Stevensville, Md.; a brother, Vernon Miller, Allentown, Pa.; a sister, Darlene Wells, Casper, Wyo.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md., on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale. Military graveside rites will be accorded by area veterans service organizations.

Pallbearers will be Clifford Williams, Steven Hamilton, Donald Hamilton, Ed Welker, Charles Wolford and Robert Welsh.

HARVEY J. MILLER
SPRINGS, Pa. - Harvey J. Miller, 43, of 4-H Camp Road, Morgantown, formerly of Springs, died July 7, 1998, as a result of an accident in Shartlesville, Pa.
He was born Nov. 26, 1954, at Norfolk, Va., a son of Daniel J. and Mary J. Yoder Miller of Springs.

He was a truck driver, employed by Oester Trucking, Salisbury, Pa., since March 1992. He also was a former employee for 18 years at Mountain Counties Milk-Hauling Co-op, Grantsville, Md.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (Martin) whom he married on Sept. 30, 1983; a son, Jason, at home; two stepsons, Brett Pettit Sr., Charles Town, and Dale Pettit, and spouse Korena, Morgantown; four step-grandchildren, Megan, Brett II, Dillon and Kyra; four sisters, Mrs. James (Edith) Yoder, Grantsville, Mabel Pugh, Meyersdale, Pa., Mrs. Byard (Katie) Beitzel, Accident, Md., Mrs. Robert (Mary Etta) Kauffman, New Holland, Pa.; one brother, Joseph Miller, and spouse, Joyce, of Accident; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Orendorf.

Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, on Friday, July 10, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, July 11, from noon to 1 p.m., the time of the service with the Rev. Luther McCartney and the Rev. Sanford Bender officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary cemetery.

HUGH A. MILLER
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Hugh Arnold Miller, 67, of Fayetteville, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at his residence.
Born Feb. 9, 1931, in Cumberland, he was the son of Helen R. Arnold Miller, of Cumberland, and the late Edmund J. Miller.

Mr. Miller was a graduate of LaSalle High School in 1949. He was a former employee of the Hercules Powder Corp., Allegany Ballistics Laboratory, and Value Engineering Corp. He retired from the Naval Ordinance Station, Indian Head, Md. He was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, Waynesboro. He was a volunteer as an AARP tax consultant, Chambersburg; and a member of the Penn National Golf Association.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Helen R. Miller, are his wife of 46 years, Jean (Wheeler) Miller; one daughter, Mary Jane Vaswani, Herndon, Va.; two sons, Robert J. Miller, Ashton, and William H. Miller, Raleigh, N.C.; and six grandchildren, Melissa Miller, Emily Miller, Lauren Miller, Sarah Miller, Shawna Vaswani and Mark Vaswani.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be held on Monday at 3:45 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cumberland, Md., on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Father Milton A. Hipsley as celebrant.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

MIRIAM M. MILLER
SALISBURY, Pa. - Funeral services for Miriam M. Miller, of Salisbury, have moved to the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., on Thursday at 11 a.m., because of tornado damage to the Newman Funeral Home in Salisbury.

WILLIAM H. MORRIS
CLEARVILLE, Pa. - William Henry Morris, 78, of RFD 3, Box 73, Clearville, died Thursday, April 16, 1998, at his home.
Born April 29, 1919, in Rockingham County, Va., he was the son of the late Ashby Morris and the late Annie Virginia (Fraizer) Morris. His wife, Nellie (Smith) Morris, preceded him in death on March 30, 1994.

Mr. Morris was a retired manager and bartender for the VFW Post 7472 in Ellicott City, Md.

Surviving are two daughters, Janet Altizer and husband Richard, Staunton, Va., and Joyce Seay and husband Leonard, Baltimore; four stepchildren, Betty Day, Fort Myers, Fla., Barbara Mallow, Flintstone, Md., Dale Beall, Mansfield, Ohio, and Tim Beall, Sykesville, Md.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Morris, Shenandoah, Va., and Elmer Morris, Grottoes, Va.; and two sisters, Rachel Leap and Ennis Shifflett, McGagitsville, Va.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, Md., on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Burial will be in the Glendale cemetery, Flintstone.

HAZEL M. MUNDAY
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Hazel May Munday, 72, of Fort Wayne, died Sept. 2, 1998, at Millers' Merry Manor following a brief illness.
Born Dec. 3, 1925, in Wellersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Earl W. Witt and Ella G. (Troutman) Witt. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 1973.

Mrs. Munday worked for the Cleveland Dealers Auto Association, retiring in 1988 after 25 years of service.

She is survived by three sons, Donnie and wife, Mary, New Port Richey, Fla., Ronnie and wife, Linda, Orwell, Cleveland, Randy and wife, Debbie, Fort Wayne; also five grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Nehring, Cleveland, Wilhelmina Neubiser, and Betty Ringler, both of Wellersburg, Pa.; a brother, Donald Witt and wife, Audry, Hyndman.

At Mrs. Munday's request, her body was cremated, and a memorial service was held in Orlinda, Tenn.

REV. KENNETH MACKIE
EVERETT, Pa. - The Rev. Kenneth E. Mackie, 74, of R.D. 1, Everett, died Monday, March 2, 1998, at his home.
He was owner and operator of Mackie Sewing Center, LaVale, Md., since 1975.

Surviving are his wife, Millie Pauline Hutson; four children, Cynthia, wife of Richard Engler, Pittsburgh, Zane G., husband of Patti, Cumberland, Md., Tim, husband of Kelly, Cumberland, Md., and Pamela, wife of David Morsberger, Harrisburg; a sister, Dolly Reynolds of Williamsburg; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
