Artie F. Wade, 97, of 300 Center Ave, Waynesburg formerly of Spraggs, PA died at 12:20AM August 13, 2002 in the Beverly Health Care Nursing Home Waynesburg, PA following a lenghty illness. She was the Daughter of the late Lindsey and Belle(Fox) Fox. She was born October 23, 1904 in Perry Twp., Greene Co., PA. Mrs. Wade was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church in Brock. While her health permited she was the Piano player and a Sunday School Teacher. She also volunteered at the Cherry Door in Waynesburg and was a Homemaker. Her Husband: Dewey F. Wade whom she married August 6, 1934 died August 28, 1992. Surviving are several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews. Agnes P. Sullenberger, 90, of Wind Ridge, PA died at 9:55PM on Monday, Sept. 8, 2003 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, PA. She was born on January 2, 1913 in Dawson, PA. She was the Daughter of the late Leroy and Sue Palmer Sullenberger.Agnes was a Protestant by faith and was a Homemaker. She is survived by her caregiver Amanda Clemens with whom she made her home. 1 Daughter: Florence Groves of Cameron, W.Va. 1 Son: Martin Sullenberger of Millsboro, PA. 4 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren Deceased: 1 Son: Eugene Sullenberger There will be no public visitation for Agnes Sullenberger. Albert O. Mankey, Sr., 80, of Carmichaels formerly of Waynesburg, PA died 5:00AM on Wednesday, OCt. 8, 2003 at the Greene Co. Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg. He was born July 22, 1923 in Amity, PA. He was the SOn of the late Albert O. Mankey Sr. and Leanna Gray Mankey.Mr. Mankey was a member of the Fairall United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. He was a Veteran of W.W.II having served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the James Farrell American Legion Post #330 in Waynesburg. He was a former Waynesburg Volunteer Fireman. Mr. Mankey retired in 1985 as a Fieldman with Equitable Gas after 31 years. His Wife: Hazel Patterson Mankey whom he married July 17, 1942 died December 16, 2001. Alice Ruth Strosnider, 81, of 107 Curry Road Waynesburg, PA, formerly of Morgan St. Waynesburg died at 11:30AM Saturday, April 26, 2003 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home Waynesburg. She was born Dec. 10, 1921 in Franklin Twp., Greene Co. She was the Daughter of the late Ray S. and Alma Grimes Strosnider. Alice Ruth had polio since the age of 2 1/2, though disabled by polio she spent her life doing the same as others by always being a positive person. She spent most of her life in Greene Co where she was a member of the Washington St. United Methodist Church in Waynesburg for 70 years. Alice Ruth was a member and teacher of the Friendly Circle Sunday School Class and also taught in the Childrens Sunday School Dept. She was a member of the church Choir and the United Methodist Women. She started as a Legal Secretary in 1946 with Albert Sayers and James Hawkins. She later worked in the same office for Bob Keener, Floyd King, and William Nalitz. Her last employer being Kirk King. Allen D. Lippencott, 73, of Waynesburg, PA died at 5:30PM MOnday, March 22, 2004 at home. He was born December 11, 1930 in Waynesburg, PA He was the Son of the late Guy A. Lippencott and Ruth E. Davis Lippencott. Mr. Lippencott was a member of the V.F. W. Post #4793 where he had served as Quartermaster and the James Farrell American Legion Post#330 both of Waynesburg. He was also a member of the Waynesburg Elks Lodge #757, Loyal Order of Moose #461, and the Waynesburg Eagles Lodge #598. He was a Graduate of Waynesburg College and a Veteran of the Korean War having served with the U. S. Army. Mr. Lippencott worked for several years as a Caseworker for the Greene Co. Arthur Tennant, 91, of Waynesburg, PA died at 4:45PM Saturday June 21, 2003 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg. He had been in declining health for the past 6 months. He was born May 27, 1912 in Franklin Twp., Greene Co., PA He was the Son of Eva Tennant. Most of his life was spent in Greene Co. Mr. Tennant was a member of Fairall United Methodist Church. He was a Veteran of W.W.II having served from 1942 to 1946 with the U.S. Army as a Sergeant. He was a 55 year member of the James Farrell American Legion Post #330 in Waynesburg. Mr. Tennant was a 65 year member of the I.O.O.F.#469 in Waynesburg where he served as Secretary and District Deputy Grand Master. Art was a Life member of the Waynesburg Elks Lodge #757 where he was former treasurer, and trustee. He also served on the House Committee. In 2000 Mr. Tennant was honored by the Waynesburg Chamber of Commerce with the Distinguished Service Award. He was also a Paul Harris Fellow with the Waynesburg Rotary Club. Mr. Tennant was a member and former treasurer of the Waynesburg Senior Citizens. He also served Meals on Wheels. He worked for 25 years for Austin Powder Co. in the Mine Tool Division retiring Jan of 1980 as a Supervisor. Audrienne White Blair, 93, of 355 Rolling Meadows Road Waynesburg, PA died at 7:25 PM Thursday, November 21, 2002 at the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg. She was born December 20, 1908 in Bluff, PA to the Late Isaac Slater and Clara Hughes White . Mrs. Blair was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg. She was a talented muscian and was church organist at the First Church of the Nazarene for most of her Adult Life. She was an excellant cook and also gifted in all sorts of needlework and particularly quilting. With her Husband she spent the winters in Bradenton, Fla for over 40 years. and was a Homemaker. Her Husband: William James Blair whom she married Sept. 24, 1930 died May 17, 1998 Surviving are 3 Granddaughters: Pamela W. Stewart of Washington , PA, Renee W. Baker and Lori L. Barbara Beth Kennedy, 74 of Morgantown, W.Va. formerly of Mt. Morris, PA died at 10:45AM Saturday Dec. 28, 2002 at the Mon Pointe Continuing Care Center in Morgantown, W.Va. She was born Feb. 2, 1928 in Wheeling, W.Va. to the late James Nelson Kennedy and Helen Towne Kennedy Skiles. Miss Kennedy was affiliated with the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Morgantown, W.Va. She was also a member of the Morgantown-Fairmont Deaf Club. She attended Deaf school in Romney, W.Va. and furthered her education in a deaf school in Swissvale, PA She worked for 46 years as a machine operator at the former Morgan Shirt Factory in Morgantown, W.Va. Barrett L. Miller, 25 of Waynesburg, PA died at 2:00AM Monday, Nov. 3, 2003 at the U.M.P.C. Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA He was born August 3, 1978 in Waynesburg, PA Barrett was the Son of Nelson L. Miller of Waynesburg and Cheryl Murphy Riggs of Washington , PA Barrett was a member of the Monroeville #5 Fire Dept and was also a member of the Morris Twp. Fire Dept. He enjoyed snow skiiing, music and traveling. He was also a certified open water diver. He taught several fire training classes throught the country with his Father . Beatrice B. Arrison, 98 of Mt. Morris, PA died at 2:15AM Thursday July 4, 2002 in the Mt.Macrina Manor Nursing Home, Uniontown, PA She was born Sept. 6 1903 in Davistown, PA to the late John and Lucy Roberts Cowell. Mrs. Arrison was affiliated with the Davistown Methodist Church. She was a member of the Union Extension Homemakers and the Shannopin Club of Greene Co.. She worked for several years as a dispatcher for M.R. Railroad and she was a Homemaker. Her Husband: Holbert B. Arrison died July 17, 1985. Surviving are 1 Daughter: Alicia Ann King of Mt. Morris, PA 3 Granddaughters: Carletta H. Savage, Sandra Talbott, and Sheila Scott. 7 Great Grandchildren: Mark Savage Jr., Mary Ann Savage, Adam Zider, Alicia Talbott, April Talbott, Brittany Scott, and Alaina Harvey. 1 Sister: Dorothy Rehanek of New Smyrna, Fla. Several Nieces and Nephews Deceased: 2 sisters : Hazel Williams and Gusta Titus 1 Brother: L.B. Cowell Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Saturday at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Mt. Morris, PA where services will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday July 7, 2002 with the Rev. Fred Tomlinson and Pastor Scott Teets officiating. Burial will be at the Beverly Hills Memorial Cemetery Morgantown, W.Va.

Beatrice Rose Bradford, 94 of Waynesburg, PA died at 6:00PM on Monday october 20, 2003 in the Greene Co. Memorial Hospital Waynesburg following an illness of 2 weeks. She was born June 10, 1909 in High, German Twp., Fayette Co. She was the Daughter of the late Otha Basel and Bessie Lee Reynolds Tolbert. Mrs. Bradford spent her early life in Fayette Co. She spent 11 years in Utah, but most of her life was in Greene Co. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a graduate of German Twp. High School in McClellandtown. She was an active member of the White ley Twp. Farm Women and worked with the 4H Club. She was also active in the Mt. Pleasant Church and was a homemaker. Her First Husband: Hugh Stevenson Staggers whom she married June 14, 1930 died January 18, 1874. Her Second Husband: Francis Robert "Bob" Bradford whom she married November 23, 1976 survives. Also surviving are 1 Sister: Bessie Beverley Tolbert of Waynesburg, PA Several Nieces and Nephews Deceased: 2 brothers : Kenneth Carl Tolbert and Donald Earl Tolbert 3 sisters : Edrie Elaine Gallentine, and Twin sisters who died in infancy Friends will be received from 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA Where services will be conducted at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 23, 2003 with Bruce Barnett officiating. Burial will be at the Fariall Cemetery, White ley Twp. Greene Co.
