Morris and Buckeye Community died at 8:25 AM Thursday Sept. 30, 2004at the John Manchin Senior Health Care in Fairmont, WV. following a lengthy illness. She was born July 6, 1913 in Mt. Morris, PA A Daughter of the late Endsley Lemley and Clara Clevenger Lemley. Mrs. Fetty was a member of the Dolls Run Christian Church at Core, WV. She was also a member of the W.S.C.S. of the Buckeye Methodist Church and the Womens group of the Christian Church at Core. She was also a member of the Morgantown Eagles Club. She worked as a Nurses Assistant at the University Hospital, Monongalia Hospital and the Sundale Nursing Home all in Morgantown, WV. and she was a Homemaker. Her Husband: A.C. "Jeff" Fetty whom she married Nov.21.1930 died August 29, 1991 Surviving are 2 sons and Daughter In Laws: E. Wayne and Nancy Fetty of Fairmont, WV.and Kenneth and Deloris Fetty of Core, WV; 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased: 3 sisters : Margaret Merrill, Violet Lemley, and Louisa Morris 3 brothers : William C. Lemley, Dewey Lemley, and Dawson Enlo Lemley Friends will be received from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004 at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Corner Ellsworth Ave. and Rt. 19, Mt. Morris, PA Where services will be conducted at 1:00PM on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 with the Rev. James Freeland officiating. Burial will be at the Cedar Grove Cemetery Mt. Morris, PA

Lenna R. Pratt, 84 of Mt. Morris Road Waynesburg, PA died at 11:05AM on Monday January 19, 2004 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, PA . She was born Feb. 3, 1919 in Pocahontas Co. W.Va. Mrs. Pratt spent her early life in W.Va. but most of her life was in Greene Co. She is survived by her Husband: Paul B. Pratt whom she married December 24, 1936 1 Daughter: Carolyn Dusenberry of Waynesburg, PA 1 Granddaughter: Dixie Adams of Arthurdale, W.Va. 2 Great Granddaughters: April Adams and Andrea Adams both of Arthurdale, W.Va. At the Request of the deceased visitation and services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Pastor Edward Woods officiating. Burial will be at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Corner Ellsworth Ave. and Rt. 19 in Mt. Morris are in charge of arrangements.

Letha Nelson Kappes, 90 of Waynesburg, PA diedat 7:00PM on May 2, 2003 at the Greene Co. Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg. She was born Nov. 29, 1912 in Graysville, PA She was the Daughter of the late Alf and Flora Belle Headley Nelson. Mrs. Kappes spent her entire life in Greene Co. where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. She was a member of the former daughters of Ruth Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women where she served as treasurer for 25 years. Mrs. Kappes was Past Noble Grand of the Lady of Greene Rebekah Lodge. She was also a member of the Womens Aux. at the Greene Co. Memorial Hosp. and Volunteered in the lobby shop at the Hosp. For 25 years she served on the election board and 15 years she worked as a sales clerk in a local gift shop. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed making quilts. Her Husband: Raymond E. Kappes Sr. whom she married December 17, 1931 died April 17, 1997. Surviving are 2 sons : Barry N. Kappes of Waynesburg, PA and Raymond E. Kappes Jr. of San Jose, Calf. 3 GrandSons: Gregory Kappes, Eran Kappes, and Douglas Cole Several Nieces and Nephews Deceased: 1 Daughter Noma Lee Kappes who died at the age of 4 2 sisters : Merle N. Morris and Anna Belle Semancik 1 Brother: Jacob N. During his life, Mr. Montgomery was manager for Hill Mines. Lloyd A. Curry, 93 of Cuyahoga Falls Ohio formerly of Waynesburg, PA died at 3:04A.M. Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley, Ohio He was born November 5, 1910 in Calvin, WV. A Son of the late Robert and Ruth Bredon Curry. Mr. Curry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army haveing served during W.W.II He was a Life member of the Addison V.F.D.and the American Legion Post #946 both in Addison, PA Mr. Curry was also a Life Member of the of the D.A.V. Post #58 in Uniontown, PA and a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post #4793 of Waynesburg, PA Where he served as Chaplain. He was also a Life Member of the V.F.W. National Home in Mich. Mr. Curry worked for 30 years for Jessop Steel in Washington retiring in 1973. He was also a Hunter Safety Instructor since 1959. His Wife: Louise A. Phillippi Curry whom he married Jan. 12, 1934 died April 16, 2004 Surviving are 1 Daughter: Lynda Curry-Huston of Akron, Ohio He was the last of his immediate family Deceased: 2 sisters : Ora Stewart and Gladys Yost 4 brothers : French Curry, Gail Curry, Donald Curry and Guy Curry Friends will be received from 12:30PM to 1:00PM the hour of service Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Greene Co. Memorial Park Chapel. Pastor Cristy Wise officiating. Entombment will be at the Greene Co. Memorial Park. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the V.F.W. Louise A. Phillippi Curry, 94 of Cuyahoga Falls formerly of Waynesburg died at 7:30PM on Friday April 16, 2004 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley, Ohio. She was born August 25, 1909 in Aleppo Twp., Greene Co. Mrs. Curry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg. She was also a member of the Polly Wayne Garden CLub of Waynesburg and the Curry Circle of the First Baptist Church. She taught Elementary School in WV. and PA for several years, and was a Homemaker. Her Husband: Lloyd A. Curry whom she married January 12, 1934 survives Also surviving are 1 Daughter: Lynda Curry-Houston of Akron, Ohio 1 Brother: George Byron Phillippi of Rockford, Ill. Deceased: 1 Brother-Robert Phillippi Friends are to gather at 12:30PM at the Greene Co. Lucille Bennington Phillips, 72 of Waynesburg, PA died at 7:17 PM Tuesday JUly 8, 2003 at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA She was born October 15, 1930 in Franklin Twp., Greene Co., PA SHe was the Daughter of the late William H. and Virginia Rush Bennington. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Church of Prophecy in Waynesburg. She was also a member of the Womem of the Moose #888, and the James Farrell American Legion Post #330. She was a Life Member of the Waynesburg Elks Lodge #757. With her Husband she owned and operated Phillips Motors in Waynesburg for several years. She was also a Notary public and worked for several years as a clerk at G.C.Murphy's in Waynesburg. Mrs Phillips was an advid Golfer and enjoyed Square Dancing. Husband: William C. Phillips married June 5, 1948 died July 20, 1991 Surviving are 1 Son: William E. Phillips of Virginia and 1 Daughter: Delilah Stark of Fayette County, PA 7 Grandchildren: Christina M. Tennant, Wendy Abbott, Amanda Wander, Brittney Beckett, John Beckett, Billie Shaffer and Beth 5 Great Grandchildren 3 sisters : Louise Cooley and Frances Barnes both of Waynesburg and Helen Cole of Carmichaels, PA Several Nieces and Nephews Deceased: 1 Brother: John William Bennington Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Thursday Feb. 10, 2003 at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc 197 N. Marcheta E. Clark, 76 of 109 Falling Timbers Road Pt.Marion PA died at 11:45AM Monday Jan. 20, 2003 in the Monongalia General Hosp. Morgantown following a 2 year illness. She was born March 12, 1926 in Greene Co. to the Late Furman M. and Edna Pearl Lippencott Nichols.Mrs Clark was affiliated with the Oakview United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. She was a member of the Greene Co. Warrior Trail and she was a Homemaker. She is survived by her Husband: Raymond E. Clark whom she married March 14, 1970 Also surviving are 2 daughters : Joyce Mankey of Waynesburg, PA and Sue Abell of Sante Fe, New Mexico. 2 sons : James Barnes and J. Allan Barnes both of Waynesburg, PA 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren Deceased: 2 brothers : Kenneth Nichols and Clifford (Chauncey) Nichols 1 Granddaughter At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will be private at the Claughton Cemetery, White ley Twp., Greene Co. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg are in charge of arrangements. Waynesburg, She was born June 6, 1932 in Fayette Co., PA She was the Daughter of the late Ralph and Alverta Edwards Rutherford. Margaret was a member of the Women of the Moose #888, Eagles Lodge #598 and the V.F.W. Post #4793 all of Waynesburg. She was Homemaker. Husband: Earl M. "Sam" Cowell married August 14, 1954 died August 31, 1988 1 Daughter: Trudy Adams of Graysville, PA 1 Step Son: Earl M. Margaret Althea Moninger-Wilson, 86 of Manhattan, Kansas formerly of Greene Co. died at 11:10AM Tues. May 21, 2002 at the Stoneybrook Retirement Community, Manhattan, Kansas. She was born Dec. 2, 1915 in Deerlick, PA to the late herman Russell Moninger Sr. and Dora Arzana Pettit Moninger. She was a member of the Swarts Methodist Church, where she was the Sunday School teacher for the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She attended the Morris Twp and Powers Schools. She was a graduate of Nineveh High School. She also graduated from Penn Commercial College in Washington , PA and from the Harrisburg Community College in Harrisburg, PA Mrs. Wilson was a 4-H Leader, a member of the Morris Twp. Fire Dept Women's Aux. and the Y.W.C.A. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge #385 of Waynesburg since 1967. She worked from 1960 to 1967 for the Dept. of Labor and Industry in Harrisburg. She was then transfered to Waynesburg, where she worked for the Dept. of Public Assistance until her retirement in 1987. Her Husband: Lawrence Albert Wilson Sr. whom she married March 28, 1931 died December 30, 1954. Surviving are 2 Daughers: Dolores Smith of Manhattan, Kansas and Kay Stiles of Celina, Texas . 2 sons : Lawrence Albert Wilson Jr. of Arrowsic, Maine and Erwin L. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. For 12 years she worked for B.F.Goodrich Co. in Akron, Ohio having worked on the production line. She was also a Homemaker. Marina was a member of the St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Waynesburg, PA She worked for several years as the Supervising Registered Nurse for the New York State Hospital retiring in 1985. LaNoue of Scottsdale, Arizona. 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren 1 Sister: Frances Gisondi of Clinton, New York 1 Brother: Abraham Joseph of Kirkland, N.Y. Mark L. Harvey

Mr. Harvey died following a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Harvey was in the United States Marine Corps. for 4 years where he was a corporal, expert marksman, and involved with the security forces. He was a 1989 graduate of Richlands High School His wife, Anna Christine Silcox Harvey, whom he married, October 10, 1992 survives.
