Wilfred "Sonny" A. Guay
March 04, 2009

Wilfred "Sonny" A. Guay, 48, of Jenks Ave, died Wednesday at the RI Hospital. He was the husband of Maria Furtado.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Maria Guay of Pawtucket and the late Wilfred Guay.

Dean Warehouse of Lincoln had employed him for many years.

He was the current Vice President and past President of the Filibuster Club.

Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a stepdaughter, Christina Furtado of New York, a sister, Anna Ferreira of Barrington, a brother, Gary Guay of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Arthur Guay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30am at St. Matthew’s Church, Dexter St, Central Falls. Calling hours will be Sunday 4-7pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass and calling hours. The burial will be private.

Richard Craige
March 04, 2009

Richard Craige, 64, of Fales St, died Wednesday at the RI Hospital.

He was the husband of Marie (Emery) Craige. They have been married for 31 years.

Born in Malden, MA, a son of the late David N. and Alice (Pomfret) Craige. He resided most of his life in Central Falls.

He had been employed by the Central Falls School Department and had also worked at the Christmas Tree Shop in Attleboro.

He was an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 2 Central Falls and was a devoted member of the Ocean State Baptist Church, Smithfield.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, David Craige of Cranston, Richard Craige Jr of Pawtucket, Charles Craige Sr, Adam Craige of Central Falls, Thomas Dery of Cumberland, two daughters, Brenda Landi of Smithfield and Kimberley Fazio of West Warwick, a brother, David Craige of Attleboro, a sister, Cindy Craige, 19 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Johnson and Jack Craige.

His calling hours and funeral will held Saturday morning from 10 to noon from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, with a service in the Ocean state Baptist Church, 600 Douglas Pike, Smithfield at 1pm. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Pawtucket

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Ocean State Baptist Church Missions fund, 600 Douglas Pike Smithfield RI 02917

Marie R. Boucher
February 9, 2009

Marie R. Boucher, 59, of Parker St, died Monday at The Miriam Hospital, of Pancreatic Cancer surrounded by her family. She was the devoted wife of William “Bill” H. Boucher. They have been married for over 30 years.

Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late William T. and Mary (Fagan) Brown.

Marie had been a supervisor at the State Disability Determination Services Department for 37 years; She was a devoted wife and mother.

Besides her husband she leaves her daughters, Kathryn and Karen Boucher of Lincoln, a sister, Geralyn Almonte of Lincoln, a brother, William Brown of Little Compton and several nephews.

A special thanks to the angels at 4B, Fain 3, and Interventional Radiology at The Miriam Hospital.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raymond Church, North Main St, Providence at 11am. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends invited, calling hours Wednesday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Marie, to St. Jude Church Renovation Fund, 301 Front St, Lincoln RI 02865.

Joseph P. Moran Jr.
January 25, 2009

Joseph P. Moran Jr., formerly of Shawmut Ave, passed away Sunday January 25th at the Miriam Hospital, Providence, R.I. surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lola A. (Gregoire) Moran. They had been married for more than 48 years.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph P. Sr. and the late Isabel (Corrigan) Moran, he was a life long resident of Central Falls. He had been employed by the former Narragansett Brewery for many years. He had also worked for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Employment Security. He managed F.O.P. and Lefebvre Post of the Central Falls Little League for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Colonel Joseph P. Moran III of the Central Falls Police Department and his wife Ann Marie of Central Falls, Gregg M. Moran and his wife Susan of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, Bruce Allan Moran and his wife Kristen of Greenville, Michael T. Moran and his wife Carla of Orange County, California, and Chris W. Moran and his wife Laura of North Providence. He is also survived by three daughters, Barbara Smith and her husband Vincent of Johnston, Colleen Lancellotta and her husband John of West Warwick and Linda Moran-Lugo of Lincoln. He is further survived by 17 grandchildren, and two great grand-children. He was the brother of the late Isabel Moran and grandfather of the late Joseph P. Moran IV.

Calling hours will be held from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, R.I. on Friday January 30th between the hours of 4-8:00 pm and Saturday Morning at 8:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Matthew’s Church on Dexter Street in Central Falls. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Central Falls Little League c/o Diane Tougas, 26 Elm Street, Central Falls, R.I. 02863. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Normand A. Lanoue
January 23, 2009

Normand A. Lanoue, 81, of Sumner Ave, died Friday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Rita (Tetreault) Lanoue. They had been married for 52 years.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Victor and Alice (Camire) Lanoue. He was a lifelong resident of Central Falls.

Normand had been employed by the former Health-tex Industries for over 24 years before retiring in 1987. He was a former member of the Lincoln Council of Knights of Columbus 4005, and of the ACA Assurance.

Besides his wife Rita, he is survived by two daughters, Lorraine L. Clement of Lincoln, Diane T. Rose of Myrtle Beach, SC, three sons, Ronald M. Lanoue of Fort Wayne, IN, Kenneth A. Lanoue of Seekonk, MA, and Kevin B. Lanoue of Myrtle Beach, SC; three sisters, Lillian Doire of Bradenton, FL, Rita Provencher of San Antonio, TX and Estelle Desjean of Coventry; 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Rose-Marie Lanoue and brother of the late Alfred Lanoue.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St. Central Falls at 9:30am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Monday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Sr. Bea’s Ministry, 1030 Dexter St, Central Falls, RI 02863.

Edward J. Ferry
January 21, 2009

Edward J. Ferry, 94, of Pawtucket died peacefully, Wednesday January 21, 2009 at Miriam Hospital, Providence, RI. He was the husband of Gladys H. (Cousins) Ferry. Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Annie (O’Connor) Ferry. He retired in 1981 as a toolmaker for the Armbrust Chain Co. in Providence. He worked at the torpedo station in the Newport Navy Base during WWII.

A graduate of St. Raymond School and Pawtucket High School where he was an avid track and field athlete. He was an active member of St. Raymond Church as a lifelong communicant, Leisure group, Trustee for the parish, St. Vincent de Paul Society, RI Food bank and an active member of the East Providence Chapter of the Knights of Columbus #1528.

Edward is survived by his wife Gladys H. (Cousins) Ferry, daughters Mary Ann Fians (Joseph) of West Melbourne FL, Stephine Fians (Edward) of Trumbull, CT ,Christine Frati of Pawtucket, and Kathleen Bociek (John) of Cumberland, RI; brother Thomas Ferry of Providence, two sisters, Elizabeth M. Ferry and Leonora McDevitt both of Pawtucket; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late A. Raymond Ferry, Helen Carr and Mary Lonergan.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00a.m. from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raymond Church, North Main Street, Providence at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend followed by services at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours Friday 3:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Edward’s memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at St. Raymond Church, 2 Matilda Street, Providence, 02904.

Thomas E. Birchall Jr.
January 20, 2009

Thomas E. Birchall Jr., 52, of Chaplin St, passed Tuesday at home. He was the husband of Sherry A. (Finnegan) Birchall.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Thomas E. and Catherine C. (McLaughlin) Birchall.

Mr. Birchall was employed by Tarvis Graphics as a Product Manager for over 10 years.

Besides his wife of over 9 years, he leaves two sons, Joshua and Nicholas Birchall, three daughters, Kellie Elel, Amber and Kalynn Souza. A brother, Steven Birchall, and three grandchildren, David, Adrianna and Emily Elel.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 6 to 8pm, followed by a service at 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Tom’s memory may be made to; Autism Treatment of RI, PO Box 8460 Cranston RI 02920, would be deeply appreciated.
