ELLA I. (BIGGERS) GOLISH - Pawtucket

ELLA I. (BIGGERS) GOLISH, 92, of Beechwood Avenue, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

She was the wife of the late William J. Golish. Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Richard and Emma (Mills) Biggers, she lived most of her life in Pawtucket.

She was the mother of the late Arthur M. Biggers, and sister of the late Marcus Biggers, Benjamin Biggers, Milton Biggers and Myrtle Steere.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel in Swan Point cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Burial will follow.

EVELYN (UZARSKI) LeDOUX - North Kingstown

EVELYN (UZARSKI) LeDOUX, 87, of Walter Drive, a retired expediter, died yesterday at Briarcliffe Manor, Johnston.

She was the wife of the late Anthony J. LeDoux Sr. Born in Wallingford, Conn., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Uzarski, she had lived in Providence before moving to North Kingstown 20 years ago.

Mrs. LeDoux was an expediter for Coronet Thermo-Engravers, Cranston, for 15 years, retiring in 1978.

She was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church, and an active volunteer at St. Anthony House, Providence.

She leaves two sons, Gerard A. LeDoux of Providence and Edward V. LeDoux of Chepachet, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Philip and Edward Janus, and Alfred and Mae Januskiewicz, and the mother of the late Anthony J. LeDoux Jr.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Cranstons of Wickford Funeral Home, 140 West Main St., Wickford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial cemetery.

ALICE M. MILLS - Lincoln

ALICE M. MILLS, 93, of Cynthia Road, a retired store owner, died Friday at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

She was the wife of the late Harold Mills. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Pearson) Hunt, she had lived in Pawtucket and Central Falls before moving to Lincoln 30 years ago.

Mrs. Mills owned the former Ryan's Store in Pawtucket for more than 30 years, retiring in 1959.

She was a member of the Queen Esther Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. She was a former member of the Penetralia Guild and the Limerockers group of Limerock Baptist Church.

A member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Central Falls, Mrs. Mills taught Sunday school there for more than 20 years.

She leaves a daughter, Beverley A. Stonely, a sister, Sarah Gawthrop, and a grandson, Steven Stonely, all of Lincoln. She was the sister of the late Irene Hanson.

The funeral and burial will be private.

LUELLA E. GAGNON - Lincoln

LUELLA E. GAGNON, 76, of Progress Street, a former store clerk, died yesterday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.

She was the wife of the late Maurice A. Gagnon. Born in Lincoln, a daughter of the late Ottis and Elizabeth (Martin) Hatch, she was a lifelong resident of Lincoln.

She was a clerk in the receiving department of Ann & Hope for more than 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Sayles Memorial Church.

She leaves a daughter, Nancy E. Pritchard of Carrollton, Ohio; two sons, Peter A. Gagnon of Lincoln and Robin M. Gagnon of Jaffrey, N.H.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandsons. She was the sister of the late Otis Hatch.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Bellows-Falso Funeral Chapel, 160 River Rd. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

GEORGIANNA "GEORGIE" (ALVES) REGO - Fall River

GEORGIANNA "GEORGIE" (ALVES) REGO, 90, of Highland Avenue, formerly of Mott Street, a former manufacturing company employee, died yesterday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Rego. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph Rego-Alves and Sylvanna (Rego) Alves, she was a lifelong resident of Fall River.

She was employed by Berkshire-Hathaway Mfg. Co. for many years.

She leaves a son, Robert Rego of Fall River; five grandchildren, Michael Veloza of Cape Cod, Rosemarie Estrela of Fall River, and Roberta James, Robert Rego and John Rego, all in Arkansas; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Lorraine Veloza, and sister of the late Mary Santos, Manuel Alves, Alice Barry and Joseph Alves.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., with a funeral Mass at 9 in Holy Cross Church of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Pulaski Street. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.

JOHN J. McGANNON - Cranston

JOHN J. McGANNON, 64, of Barefoot Bay, Fla., formerly of Bowen Street, a retired chemistry and physics teacher, died Thursday at South County Hospital.

He was the husband of Constance (Fuoroli) McGannon. Born in Worcester, Mass., a son of the late Malcolm and Elizabeth (Flynn) McGannon, he had been a Cranston resident for 28 years before moving to Florida in 1992.

He was a chemistry and physics teacher at Davies Vocational School before retiring in 1992. A graduate of La Salle Academy, Providence, in 1954, and Providence College in 1958, he previously taught at St Leo's School and Warwick Veteran High School. He was in the Army reserves for 40 years, attaining the rank of master sergeant.

He was a member of the Pawtuxet Rangers, RIM 1774. He was a volunteer EMT for the Volunteer Fire Department of Micco, FLa. He was a member of Charles L. Fuetch American Legion Post 189, Order of the Moose 1767, BPOE Post 2714, and Knights of Columbus Council 8009, all in Sebastian, FLa.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Sean McGannon of Middletown and Shane McGannon of Providence; four stepdaughters, Susan Stout of Wakefield, Frances Butter of East Providence, and Kathleen Leach and Judith Smith, both of Isleboro, Maine; a brother, Richard T. McGannon of Richmond; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Monahan-Kelly Drabble-Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St., with a funeral liturgy at 10 in St. Joseph Church, Hope Street. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans cemetery, Exeter.

MARY E. CAREY - Cranston

MARY E. CAREY, 103, of Parkview Boulevard, died Friday at Pawtuxet Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Warwick.

She was the wife of the late Edward J. Carey. Born in New Haven, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Duffy) Ferdinandus. She leaves five sons, Thomas J., Robert P. and John E. Carey, all of Cranston, Edward J. Carey of Hamden, Conn., and Richard J. Carey of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Margaret Kinsella of Hamden and Mary Barbuto of Stark, Fla.; and 33 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Frank and William Carey, Dorothy Regan, Elizabeth Delauro, Ann Deitz and Helen Paquette, and sister of the late Frank Clark and Charlotte Nutley.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from Siske Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Rita's Church, Whitney Avenue. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial cemetery, Hamden.

MARK WILLIAM LINDALL - Charlestown

MARK WILLIAM LINDALL, 50, of Morley Street, a college professor, and education director for the Narragansett Indian tribe, died yesterday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Earl F. and Marian L. (Watts) Lindall, he had lived in Warwick before moving to Charlestown in 1975.

He served as the director of education for the Narragansett Indian tribe for several years and also taught at Community College of Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island.

He was a graduate of the former Rhode Island Junior College, now CCRI, and received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Roger Williams University. He received his master's in adult education from URI.

He was active in youth programs with the Narragansett tribe and served as a Boy Scout leader for many years in the Greenwood, Warwick, Troop 1. He was a longtime member of Riverpoint Congregational Church and served as a superintendent of its Sunday school.

He leaves a brother, Keith E. Lindall, and his sister, Dorothy Jean Reynolds-Chase, both of West Warwick; and two nieces and a nephew.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at a time to be announced. Burial will take place in Greenwood cemetery, Coventry.
