William F. Parenteau, Jr.

William F. Parenteau, Jr., 35, of Lonsdale Street, West Warwick, died Sunday at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

Born in Cranston, he was a son of William F. Parenteau, Sr. of Cranston and Barbara (Miele) Malone of Coventry and step-son of Patrick Malone.

Billy worked for MedCare and PharMerica, both in Warwick.

He played softball for Lavigne Manufacturing Sunday Morning Softball League.

He was the brother of Kayleigh Parenteau and Alyssa Clark and her husband Dan, all of Coventry and the late Daniel J. Parenteau; maternal grandson of Mary Miele of Cranston. Billy was the uncle of Devin J. Parenteau of West Warwick, Gage H. Parenteau of Johnston, and Kadence S. Clark of Coventry. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 2-4pm in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will be private.

Daniel J. Parenteau

Daniel J. Parenteau, 31, of Cottage Street, Johnston, died Sunday at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

Born in Cranston, he was a son of William F. Parenteau, Sr. of Cranston and Barbara (Miele) Malone of Coventry and step-son of Patrick Malone.

He was the father of Devin J. Parenteau of West Warwick and Gage H. Parenteau of Johnston; brother of Kayleigh Parenteau and Alyssa Clark and her husband Dan, all of Coventry and the late William F. Parenteau Jr.. Dan was the maternal grandson of Mary Miele of Cranston and uncle of Kadence S. Clark of Coventry. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 2-4pm in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will be private.

Daniel R. Moran

Daniel R. Moran, age 51, residence Ingersoll Ave, passed away unexpectedly at Kent County Memorial Hospital on May 12, 2009.

He was born in Providence, the son of the late Jean (Leahy) and Edward Moran.

He was the beloved husband of Colleen Bacon Moran and the devoted father of Patrick, Tyler, and Ryan. He also leaves one sister Bernadette McDowell and her husband, John, of Warwick and five brothers, Edward “Ted” of San Francisco, CA, Kevin and Paul of Providence, Michael and his wife, Erin, of Warwick and Sean of Cranston. He was the brother of the late Patrick Moran. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Classical High School and the Academy of Arts in Los Angeles. He attended the Swain School of Design in New Bedford, Mass.

He was a resident of Providence for many years before moving to Warwick 23 years ago. He loved working on his artistic endeavors, taking photographs, gardening, the Detroit Tigers and Dallas Cowboys, spending time with his 3 sons, his dog Shadow, family, friends and the neighborhood children. His fun loving ways and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by ALL.

His funeral will be held Monday May 18 at 10:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence. Calling hours will be Sunday May 17 from 2-6 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may also be offered at. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daniel Moran Children Education Fund c/o Colleen Bacon-Moran, 25 Ingersoll Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886.

William H. Coon, Jr., a Machine Operator for Brandford Soap, passed away unexpectedly.

Beloved son of William H. Coon, Sr. and Janet P. (Fairbanks) Coon of Coventry. Loving father of Allyssa P. Coon of Coventry. Caring brother of Susan M. Flowers and her husband John J. Flowers of Exeter and the late Janet P. Coon.

Maria de Fatima do Rego (Gonsalves) Mota

Maria de Fatima do Rego (Gonsalves) Mota, 62, of Main Street, West Warwick, died Tuesday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Norberto T. Mota.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Henrique and Maria da Conceicao (do Rego) Gonsalves.

Mrs. Mota was a machine operator for Leviton Mfg. Co. until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church, West Warwick.

She was the loving mother of Linda M. Gizzarelli and her husband Michael of West Warwick. Caring sister of Joao do Rego Gonsalves of Canada, Antonio Luis Gonsalves, Maria da Conceicao do Rego, Maria da Luz Gonsalves, and Vitoria do Rego Gonsalves all of Sao Miguel, Azores and the late Lidia Gonsalves do Rego and Henrique Gonsalves.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 4-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Anthony's Building Fund, 10 Sunset Ave., West Warwick, RI 02893 or Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated.

Judith K. (Northrop) Mowrey

Judith K. (Northrop) Mowrey of West Kingston died Tuesday at home.

She leaves behind her husband Ralph of 38 years, son Kevin and his wife Carleen Mowrey of West Warwick, daughter Heather and her fiancee James Brown residing at home, daughter Jill and her hubby Nikolaos Mantalvanos of Southbridge, MA.

She also leaves behind her father F.E. Northrop also of West Kingston and her brother David and wife Mary Lou Northrop of North Kingstown.

Judith was a family woman who spent many hours of her time with her grandchildren Kathleen and Stephen Mantalvanos.

She was a lifelong member of Slocum Grange and Washington County Pomona. She loved the mountains of New Hampshire where many of her family's memories were made, and a big fan of New Hampshire's majestic creature, the Moose!

Her Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Floral tributes welcome or gifts in her memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.

Jane E. (McCarron) Nelson

Jane E. (McCarron) Nelson, 69, of Lancaster Avenue, died Monday at The Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Eileen F. (MacIsaac) McCarron. She had lived in Warwick since 1962.

Mrs. Nelson was a Bookkeeper and Receiving Clerk for United Supply Co., and most recently was a Mortgage Title Clerk for Greenwood Credit Union.

She was a graduate of Cranston High School Class of 1957 and served on the Reunion Committee.

She was the loving mother of Tracy Ann Nelson, Robert S. Nelson (Capt. WPD), and Steven M. Nelson (WPD), all of Warwick, wife of Robert C. “Buzz” Nelson (Capt. WPD, Ret.), cherished grandmother of Sierra June Nelson, and caring sister of James P. McCarron of Annapolis, MD, Edward S. McCarron of Belfast, Ireland, Donald J. McCarron of Narragansett, and the late Eileen P. Nasby.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Rt. 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue, East Greenwich. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday 4-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
