She graduated from Hartsville High School in 1942 and retired from Time Inc. in Chicago, IL in 1983. After retiring she settled in Cleveland, GA to be closer to her sister and brothers. She was a member of the Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church and was a devoted full-time grandmother.
