LANCASTER - Karli Rebecca Parker, infant daughter of Jimmy and Missy Williams Parker, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at home.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Revs. Frank Lybrand and Scott Lewellen officiating.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her sister, Alyson Parker of Lancaster; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Dianne Parker of Lancaster; maternal grandparents, Colon and Mary Williams of Lancaster; paternal great-grandparents, Arbutus and Bill Boyd and Minnie Belle Moree, all of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends at home.

Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Rd., Lancaster, SC 29270 or to SOFT Foundation, 410 S. Slusser, Graylake, IL 60030.

Fred Raffaldt

LANCASTER - Mr. Fred Raffaldt, 69, of 1000 Hilldale Drive died Friday, April 14, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Douglas Road Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tommy Cole officiating. Entombment will be at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A native of Chesterfield County, Mr. Raffaldt was a son of the late Lonnie Andrew Raffaldt and Estelle Moree Raffaldt. He was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Douglas Road Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Totsie Snipes Raffaldt; three daughters, Margie, Kathy and Joyce; his brother, Ansel Andrew Raffaldt of Cheraw; two sisters, Gerline Raffaldt Stevens of Lancaster and Shirley R. Baker of Gastonia, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Hartley Funeral Home.

Catelyn Trent

McCONNELLS - Catelyn Marie Trent, infant daughter of Christopher and Carmela Trent of Henson Lane, died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Jubilee Christian Center in York, with the Rev. Richard Little officiating.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Austin Trent and Christopher Trent II, both of the home; her sister, Ashley Trent of the home; her grandparents, Edward and Patricia Trent of Fort Mill; her great grandmother, Helen Trent of Honolulu; and her great-great-grandparents, Martha and Local Blankenship of Gilbert, W.Va.

York Funeral Home is in charge.

Mary Blasser

MILLERSBURG Pa. - Mrs. Mary E. Blasser, 71, formerly of Fort Mill, died Dec. 20, 1999, at the Messiah Village of Upper Paxton Township., Pa.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wolfe Funeral Home in Fort Mill, with the Rev. John Fastenau officiating.

A native of Millersburg, Mrs. Blasser was the daughter of the late Harvey Matter and Ronie Klinger Matter. She was a 1945 graduate of the former Millersburg High School. She had been a secretary for her husband's Servicemaster franchise and the Air Force. She also worked for Community Banks in Millersburg. She was a member and past worthy matron of Lykens Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 425, was a member of Amaranth Court 134 and the Gideons Auxiliary. In Fort Mill, she was the founder and first president of the Piedmont Chapter of M.I. Hummel Club.

Mrs. Blasser was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pennsylvania, where she was the first woman Sunday school superintendent. She was a member of Christ Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill.

Surviving are her husband, Mark R. Blasser; her son, Andrew R. Blasser of Harrisburg, Pa.; two daughters, Ann E. Blasser of Portland, Ore. and Beth Dietrick of Towson, Md.; two sisters, Ruth Cook of Elysburg, Pa., and Winifred Gould of Camp Hill, Pa.; and three granddaughters.

Vivian Childers

ROCK HILL - Ms. Vivian June Clinton Childers, 69, of 509 Hutchinson St. died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Home, downtown chapel, with the Rev. Steve Quinn officiating. Burial will be at Tirzah Presbyterian Church cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Childers was a daughter of the late Red Clinton and Maggie Bell Clinton. A member of the Baptist faith, she was a retired quality control department worker of Smith Enterprise.

Surviving are her former husband, Floyd H. Childers of Rock Hill; two sons, Wayne H. Childers of Rock Hill and Timothy "Keith" Childers of Boiling Springs; her daughter, Karen C. Hammett of Rock Hill; her half-brother, Ray Clinton of Clinton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Karen Hammett, 4476 Ivywood Drive, Rock Hill.

Ruth Lowry

YORK - Mrs. Ruth Christina Bowen Lowry, 68, of 318 W. Madison St. died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church in McConnells, with the Rev. Osbey Roddey officiating and the Rev. A.J. Johnson delivering the eulogy. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of York County, Mrs. Lowry was a daughter of the late Clarence Bowen Sr. and Ella Davidson Bowen. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, the Deaconess Board, in the Pastor's Aide Club, Missionary Society, Kitchen Committee and in the Sunday school. She was employed with Sunstates Maintenance Corp., Duke Power Co., Catawba.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Lowry Sr.; two sons, Robert Lowry Jr. of New York and Richard Lowry of York; three sisters, Peninnah B. Lowry, Reola B. Wright and Correan Bowen, all of York; three brothers, James M. Bowen of York, Thomas J. Bowen of Ruby and William E. Bowen of Pageland; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Wright Funeral Home is in charge.

Robert Morris Jr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Robert Burette "R.B." Morris Jr, 79, of 821 Museum Road, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veteran's Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, with the Revs. Terry Corder and Calvin Morrow officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.

A native of Santuck, Mr. Morris was the son of the late Robert B. Morris Sr. and Mamie Phillips Morris.

A member of Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, he was a supervisor for 27 years at J.P. Stevens. Mr. Morris was a WWII U.S. Army veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. He was a member of the Masonic Order for 44 years and was a member of the Eastern Star with his wife.

Surviving are his wife, Elsie Huddleston Morris; his son, Robert B. Morris III of Chester; four daughters, Linda M. Mattison and Tammy Lauck, both of Rock Hill, Debbie Epps of Fayetteville, Ga., and Vickie Watson of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Julia Pope and Elizabeth Gregory, both of Rock Hill; 13 grandchildren; and three great-children.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 821 Museum Road, Rock Hill. Masonic memorial rites will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today, prior to visitation.

Martha Turbyfill

HUNTER OAKS - Mrs. Martha Jean Allison Turbyfill, 93, of the Huntersville Oaks, formerly of York County, died Friday, April 14, 2000.

The funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Sharon Memorial Park, with the Rev. Fred R. McAlister Jr. officiating.

A native of York County, Mrs. Turbyfill was the daughter of the late Robert R. Allison and Eliza J. Scoggins Allison. She was the widow of Elam Reid Turbyfill.

A retired third-grade teacher at Pinewood Elementary School in Charlotte, she had also taught in Kannapolis, N.C., and High Point, N.C.

She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and Winthrop College, was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are two grandchildren, whom she reared, Bobby Turbyville of Lincolnton, N.C., and Debbie Turbyfill of Charlotte; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends by the graveside after the service.

Moena Cody

GASTONIA, N.C. - Mrs. Moena Cochran Cody, 77, of 3323 Goble St. died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, Southside Chapel, in Gastonia. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brendle Cemetery in Bryson City, N.C., with the Rev. Gary Berry officiating.

A native of Swain, N.C., Mrs. Cody was a daughter of the late Rev. Henry Cochran and Judy Bowers Cochran. She was the widow of Harvey J. Cody. She was a member of Carmel Free Will Baptist Church in Rock Hill.

Surviving are three sons, Robert H. Cody of Thomasville, N.C., the Rev. John Cody of York and Harvey Cody of Gastonia; her daughter, Judy Kennedy of Mount Holly, N.C.; her brother, Lee Cochran of Bryson City; her sister, Lottie Barker of Bryson City; 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, Southside Chapel, and at other times at home.

Jimmy Dover

CLOVER - Mr. Jimmy Henry Dover, 57, of 3995 Jenkins Road died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakland Cemetery, with the Rev. James May officiating. Interment will follow at the cemetery.

A native of York County, Mr. Dover was a disabled textile employee and was a member of Church of God of Faith.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Grey Dover; his brother, Finley Dover of Hickory Grove; two sisters, Bessie Dover of Rock Hill and Susie Weaver of Clover.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. at the home of Susie Weaver, 125 Endsgate Road, Clover.

Eddie Krasnowski Sr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Edward James "Eddie K." Krasnowski Sr., 60 of 2250 Terrell Place died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be private.

A native of New Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Krasnowski was a son of the late Carl Krasnowski and Helen Velivus Krasnowski. He grew up in Bridgeport, Conn., and moved to South Carolina 17 years ago. He was the owner of Vintage Auto Upholstery for more than 15 years.

Surviving are his wife, Marlene Walley Krasnowski; his son, Eddie Krasnowski Jr. of Fort Mill; three daughters, Diane Bursey, Marlene Ranucci and Jean Pence, all of Rock Hill; his brother, Thomas Krasnowski of Arizona; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Wolfe Funeral Home, Fort Mill, and other times at the home.

Robert Moore

CHESTER-Mr. Robert Wade Moore, 75, of 505 Sherwood Circle died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at home.

The graveside funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Union County, Mr. Moore was a son of the late Clarence C. Moore and Bertha Allen Moore. He was a widower of Shirley Langley Moore. He a retired dairy farmer and was magistrate for a number of years. He graduated from Lewisville High School and was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

Mr. Moore was a member of Chester First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Ben Plyler Sunday school class.

Surviving are two sisters, Catherine Shields of Front Royal, Va., and Helen Kite of Orlando, Fla.; and two cousins.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester.

Cora Owens

CHESTER - Mrs. Cora Lee Neal Owens of 159 Gregg St. died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Revs. James Hope, J.D. McClurkin and Joseph K. Stringfellow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Chester, Mrs. Owens was a daughter of the late Leola Neal and John Hedwood. She was a graduate of Finley Senior High School and York Technical College. She was employed by the Chester County Health Department in home-health care and was a member of Williamsville AME Zion Church, where she was a steward, president of the usher board, church secretary and a trustee.

Surviving are her husband, L.E. Owens; her son, L.E. Ontrea Owens of Charlotte; five daughters, Wanda Cunningham, Carolyn Howze, Jacqueline Kelly, Cassandra Littlejohn and Felicia Foster, all of Chester; her brother, Willie Hegwood of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

Viewing will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday.

Gore's Funeral Home, 106 McLure St., Chester, is in charge.
