ROCK HILL - Mrs. Louise S. Davis, 78, of 727 Evelyn St. died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Arrangements will be announced by Greene Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel.

Sarah English
YORK - Ms. Sarah Lunette Hollis English, 69, of 158 W. Old Limestone Road died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bratton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Ballard officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in York.
A native of York, Ms. English was a daughter of the late William Avery Hollis and Sarah Childers Hollis. She was a cook. She worked at York Place and was a York Place volunteer and sponsor. She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are two sons, Mike English and Donnie English, both of York; her daughter, Lynn E. Hudson of York; three brothers, Nelson "Bill" Hollis, Robert Wayne Hollis and Ronald Avery Hollis, all of York; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bratton Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Josephine Gill
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Josephine Gill, 77, of 439-D W. Main St. died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill.
Parker Funeral Home is in charge.

Kevin Maples
YORK - Mr. James Kevin Maples, 37, of 1159 Garvin Road died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at York Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Maples was a son of Janet Pope Maples and the late James Edward Maples. He was a self-employed insulator.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Wanda Wray Maples; and his brother, Eddie A. Maples of York.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at York Funeral Home and at other times at home.

Edythe Seely
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Mrs. Edythe Orril West Seely, 84, formerly of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Lee Bryant officiating.
A native of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Seely was a daughter of the late Orril West Hirstius and John W. West. She was the widow of Mack Ivan Seely. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Lake Worth High School in Lake Worth, Fla. She moved to Rock Hill in 1949 and was a charter member of Woodland United Methodist Church, where she taught the Fidelis class for twenty years. She was a life member of United Methodist Women. She managed Judi Smart Shop in Rock Hill Mall for many years. She was a motel manager in Myrtle Beach from 1980 until her retirement.
Surviving are her son, Bob Seely of Fayetteville, N.C.; her daughter, Pat Buckner of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Woodland United Methodist Church, Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Betty Story
CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Betty Lou Smart Story, 70, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Presbyterian Hos-pital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McEwen Funeral Service, Pineville Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Clay Barnes officiating. Burial will be at Sharon Memorial Park.
A native of York County, Mrs. Story was a daughter of the late J.R. Smart and Lola Biggers Smart. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the McGinn Bible Class.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. George Story of Charlotte; her daughter, Carolyn Franklin of Clover; her brother, Sidney Smart of Clover; her sister, Margie Smart of Clover; and two grandsons.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Pineville Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 117 S. Main St., Clover, SC 29710 or the American Cancer Society, 500 E. Morehead, St., 211 Charlotte, NC 28202 or the Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1145 Pineville Matthews Road, Matthews, NC 28105.

Eugenia Crawford
CLOVER - Mrs. Eugenia Peace Crawford, 76, of 105 Hampshire Lane died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Clover Church of God, with the Rev. Verson M. Hodges officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
A native of Cherokee County, Mrs. Crawford was a daughter of the late Charles Peace and Martha Lola Bell Isler Peace. She was the widow of Arnold Lee Crawford Sr. She was a member of Clover Church of God. She retired from American Thread.
Surviving are two sons, Arnold Lee Crawford Jr. of Gastonia, N.C., and Faron Dale Crawford of Clover; three sisters, Thelma Parker, Ann Owens and Colleen Underwood, all of Blacksburg; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

Kenneth Anderson
ROCK HILL - Mr. Kenneth E. S. Anderson, 68, formerly of Brazil, died Monday, Dec, 25, 2000, in Mobile, Ala.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at French Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Diviny officiating. Burial will be at Perth Cemetery with graveside military rites by Scott Air Force Base Honor Guard.
A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Mr. Anderson was a son of the late John Emanuel Anderson and Erma Jane Anderson. He retired from the Air Force in 1971, with 20 years service. He worked for Andaconda Aluminum in Terre Haute, Ind., for 10 years. He worked for Joeb Box Company in Charlotte, with 10 years service. He worked for Pep Boys in Rock Hill for five years.
Surviving are his wife, Violet May Phegley Anderson; four sons, Joseph Anderson of Carmichael, Calif., Kenneth Anderson Jr. of Mobile, Mark Anderson of Kathleen, Ga., and David Anderson of Rock Hill; two daughters, Loralea Lolley of Mobile and Rhonda Winter of Rock Hill; three brothers, Keith Anderson of Napa Valley, Calif., and Loyd Anderson and Edwin Anderson, both of Kelseyville, Calif.; and his sister, Marilyn Brown of Kelseyville.
The family will receive friends today before the service.

Jerry Brazil Sr.
ROCK HILL - Mr. Jerry Wayne Brazil Sr., 58, of 4604 Oak Meadow Court died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare in Spartanburg.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Revs. Barry Harmon and Judy Harmon officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Brazil was a son of the late James Brazil and Catherine Wright Brazil. He was former co-owner of Brazil's Early Learning Center for 25 years in Athens, Ga. He was a member of the Jaycees and Sertoma Clubs and was a volunteer with the Athens Homeless Shelter. He was a member of the Small Business Men's Association. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Athens, where he was a Sunday school teacher. He was a Vietnam Air Force veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra C. Brazil; his son, Jerry Wayne Brazil Jr. of New York; his daughter, Lori B. Stephens of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Ronnie Brazil and Kelly Brazil, both of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, and at other times at home.
Memorials may be made to Shekinah Church, 641 Annafrel St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

John Smith
NORFOLK, Va. - Mr. John Lewis Smith, formerly of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, in Norfolk.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at Holloman Brown Funeral Home, 8464 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk.
Mr. Smith graduated from Emmett Scott High School and was a retired Army veteran.
Surviving are two sons, John L. Smith Jr. of Higginsville, Mo., and Blythe Smith of Marietta, Ga.; his daughter, Joanna S. Scott of Marietta; and two sisters, Catherine S. McCullough of Philadelphia and Marian Baxter-Evans of Lancaster.
Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

BOWLING GREEN - Mr. James H. Charles died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000.
Arrangements will be announced by Generation Funeral Home.

Louise Davis
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Louise S. Davis, 78, of 330 Hutchinson St. died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel.

J. Ralph Edwards
SNELLVILLE, Ga. - Mr. J. Ralph Edwards, 68, of Snellville, Ga., died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.
A native of Cabarrus County, N.C., Mr. Edwards was a member of the American Legion Post No. 34 in Rock Hill. He retired from Rhodes Furniture as a salesman.
Surviving are his wife, Joanne L. Edwards of Snellville; his son, Joel Edwards of Loganville, Ga.; his daughter, Wanda Campbell of Lawrenceville, Ga.; his brother, Glenn Edwards of Blythewood; his sister, Wanda Anne Nance of Marshville, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Snellville.

Viola Marrow
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Viola Marrow, 93, of 746 Blake St. died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.
Arrangements will be announced by Parker Funeral Home.

Walter Mannheim
FLORENCE - Mr. Walter Louis Mannheim, 72, formerly of Leonardo, N.J., died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at home.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Florence Jewish Cemetery in Florence.
A native of Berlin, Mr. Mannheim was a son of the late Dr. Hans Mannheim and Nelly Mannheim. He graduated from Syracuse University and was a longtime teacher in Monmouth County, N.J.
Surviving are his brother, William A. Mannheim of Rock Hill; and his niece and caregiver, Sylvia Mannheim of Florence.
Waters-Powell Funeral Home is in charge.

Tyler Massey
LANCASTER - Tyler Lyles Massey, 1-year-old son of James A. Massey and Trina Lyles Massey, of 410 Gillsbrooks Road died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, in Chester.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Second Wilson Baptist Church, with the Rev. W.M. Bryson officiating. The eulogy will be conducted by the Rev. William N. Long. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters, Jasmine McCrorey and Breunna McCrorey, both of Lancaster; his paternal grandparents, John G. Robinson and Betty Massey, both of Fort Mill; his maternal great-grandparents, Lee Robinson and Mattie Lyles Robinson, both of Chester; and his paternal great-grandmother, Viola Robinson of Fort Lawn.
The family will receive friends at home.
The body may be viewed from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Kings Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Monday.

Carrie Faust
RICHBURG - Mrs. Carrie Lee Ernandez Faust, 69, of 3571 Lancaster Highway died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Fort Lawn Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ted Hodges and Curtis Cameron officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Richburg.
A native of Chester County, Mrs. Faust was a daughter of the late Willie B. Ernandez and Madge Laney Ernandez. She retired from Manetta Mills in Lando. She attended Chester County schools and was a member of Fort Lawn Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Anson D. Faust; her son, John D. Faust of Richburg; her daughter, Carolyn Ammons of Franklin, N.C.; four brothers, Grady Ernandez of Richburg, Norman Ernandez of Chester and Willie David "Tony" Ernandez and Laney "Mouse" Ernandez, both of Edgemoor; two sisters, Faye Grubbs of Olar and June Thomas of Wilmington, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.
