GREENWOOD — Mozelle Adams Williams, 82, formerly of 209 W. Forest Drive, widow of Beech Willard Williams, passed away Aug. 7, 2000, at National Health Care of Greenwood.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home, which is in charge.

G.W. 'Butch' Baskin

FOREST CITY, N.C. — G.W. “Butch” Baskin, 94, of 123 Holly Court, husband of Ava Lee P. Baskin, passed away Aug. 6, 2000.
Born in Lowndesville, he was a son of the late Gamble and Edna Smith Baskin. He was a Navy World War II veteran and a retired employee of Duke Power Co.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Albert Baskin of Elberton, Ga.; and a sister, Julia B. Wood of Easley.
Entombment services, with full Masonic rites, will be at 3 today in Cleveland Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation is from 2:30-3 today.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Mid-Atlantic Affiliate, Memorials and Tributes Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.

CROSS HILL — Elizabeth Pinson Coleman, 84, of 177 Pucketts Ferry Road, widow of Fred T. Coleman, passed away Aug. 8, 2000, at Wesley Commons in Greenwood.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home, Greenwood, which is in charge.
Bernard Cox

TRURO, England — Bernard Austin Cox, 95, passed away Aug. 8, 2000, in Truro.
He was a son of the late Harry and Edith Thompson Cox.
Survivors include a sister, Joan C. Gardner of Greenwood, S.C. Services will be Friday in Truro.

O. Houseal Crumpton

NEWBERRY — O. Houseal Crumpton, 69, of 95 Folk-Moran Drive, husband of Eugenia Moates Crumpton, passed away Aug. 8, 2000.
Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Lee Olin and Cora McCarthy Crumpton. He was owner of C.M. Trash Collectors, a retired employee of Kaywood of Joanna and a member of Enoree Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Alan Crumpton of Whitmire; a daughter, Janet Moran of Newberry; three sisters, Katherine Langford of Ninety Six, Marzelle Livingston of Newberry and Christine Davis of Greenwood; five grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a step-grandchild.
Services will be at 3 Thursday at Enoree Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Larry Bundrick, Boyd Rankin, Ricky Smith, Adam Smith, Junior Roper and Charles Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers are the men of the church, Robert Langford, Ray Woodward, Herb Parker, Harold Stone and Frank Price.
Visitation is from 7-8 tonight at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Enoree Baptist Church or Freedom Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1106, Newberry, S.C. 29108.

Evelyn E. Davis

BATESBURG — Evelyn Eidson Davis, 78, of 288 Shiloh Court, widow of Charles Otis Davis, passed away Aug. 7, 2000.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Ella Ree Miller Eidson. She was a retired cloth inspector with the Graniteville Co. She was a member of Hulon Baptist Church and the WMU and a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Ray Davis, Leroy Davis and Gene Davis, all of Batesburg-Leesville; three daughters, Margaret Lominick of Pomaria, Sarah Davis of Batesburg and Louise Parham of Union; a brother, Paul Eidson of Eastover; a sister, Doris Hite of Batesburg-Leesville; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 Thursday at Hulon Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Rusty Trotter and the Rev. Dr. David Coleman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chris Lominick, Nicholas Albee, Edward Hite, Jamie Davis, Lee Davis, Lonnie Eidson Jr. and Rodney Eidson.
Visitation is from 7-8 tonight at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.

Jerry Douglas Gable

McCORMICK — Jerry Douglas Gable, 47, of 116 Cedar Hill Road, husband of Janice W. Gable, passed away Aug. 8, 2000.
Born in Troy, he was a son of the late Claude E. and Nona Bosdell Gable. He was a McCormick High School graduate and an employee of Flour Daniels at Solutia.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Britani Marie Gable of Pollock Pines, Calif.; a son, Jeremy Dustin “Dusty” Gable of the home; a sister, Marie G. Marshall of Greenwood; three brothers, George P. Deale and Claude E. Gable, both of Greenwood and Terry W. Gable of McCormick; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, conducted by the Rev. Ryan Eklund. Burial will be in Overbrook Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Billy Dillashaw, Steve Dorn, Dickie Hill, Tony Deale, Curtis Clegg, Shane O’Neil, Ty Cox and Eric Gable.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.

Eloise McKinney Hill

NINETY SIX — Eloise McKinney Hill, 75, of 4514 Highway 246 South, wife of Jimmy Hill Sr., passed away Aug. 8, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Ninety Six, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Carrie Chappelle McKinney and was reared by an aunt, the late Janie Johnson. She was a retired employee of Kemet Electronics and a former employee of Nantex Industries. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Ninety Six, the Missionary Society, Pyracantha Garden Club and Saluda Highway Community Club. She graduated from the Ninety Six Colored High School in 1942.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Jimmy Hill III and Michael Logan, both of Ninety Six and Farris Carlos Hill of Pittsfield, Mass.; a grandson reared at the home, Calvin A. Anderson; a daughter, Alfreda Lavender of Ninety Six; a brother, Jacob Washington of Philadelphia; a sister, Edna Mae Howard of Philadelphia; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Robinson and Son Mortuary Inc., which is in charge.

Wade B. Padgett

MANNING — Wade Boyd Padgett, 53, husband of Beverly Geddings Padgett, passed away Aug. 8, 2000, at Tuomey Hospital in Sumter.
Born in Rock Hill, he was a son of Eliza Sanders Smith and the late L.B. Padgett. He attended Baptist College and was employed by Carolina Golden in Sumter. He was an Army Vietnam War veteran and a member of Home Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Manning; his mother of Ridge Spring; two sons, Wade Boyd Padgett and Marshall Brent Padgett, both of Manning; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 Thursday at Home Branch Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. John V. Hall and the Rev. Richard Hudson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at Stephens Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of Mrs. Mamie Geddings, Route 1, Box 788, Manning.

Fred Smith

WARE SHOALS — Franklin “Fred” Smith, 77, of 208 Harmony Church Road, husband of Catherine Hawkins Smith, passed away Aug. 7, 2000, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late William Lewis and Maude Darby Smith. He was a retired maintenance supervisor with Riegel Textile Corp. and served in Europe during World War II. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was first married to the late Lorene Leonard Smith.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lewis Smith of Pendleton; a daughter, Mrs. Chris “Faye” Thrasher of Williamston; a sister, Corrine S. Haynes of Powdersville; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Robert Emory and the Rev. Rod Carver. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood.
Pallbearers are Curtis Wells, Jim Hughes, Jason Thrasher, Morris McColley, Jake Davis and Terry Simmons.
Honorary escorts are members of the Men’s Sunday School Class, along with Calvin Jeanes and Alvin Culbertson.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at Parker-White Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.

Freddie "Who" Williams

NORTH AUGUSTA — Services for Freddie “Who” Williams will be at 2 Thursday at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Coronaca, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Stanford. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Pallbearers are friends of the family.
Flower bearers are Mashanda Austin, Rosa Lee Austin and nieces.
Visitation is this evening at the home of a sister, Elizabeth Elaine Williams, 102 Darlington St., Greenwood.
