Wyatt Bowick Jr.
ANDERSON — Wyatt Wideman Bowick Jr., of 403 Serena Circle, husband of Pat Bowick, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Wyatt Wideman Bowick Sr., and Thelma Lord Bowick. He was retired from Transouth Finance Company, was a member of the Hejaz Shriners and the Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 68. He was a Navy Veteran, and was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Patricia Jane Butler of Anderson; a brother, Ray Bowick of Greenwood; a sister, Doris Mundy of Columbia; and two grandchildren.
Services are at 11 Wednesday, at The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Butch Morrison. Burial will be in New Silverbrook Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.

Johnnie Burton
JOHNSTON — Johnnie Burton, 45, of 168 Burton Road, husband of Emma Jean Simpkins Burton, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at his home.
Born in Saluda County, he was a son of Maggie Padgett Burton and the late J.B. Burton Sr. He was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church and a graduate of Saluda High School. He was retired from Avondale Mills.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his mother, Maggie Burton of Johnston; three sons, Johnnie Patrick Burton and Eric Jamal Burton, of the home, and Cedric Butler of Aiken; three brothers, J.B. Burton, James Burton and Curtis Burton, all of Johnston; two sisters, Mary Jean Walker of Aiken; and Cynthia Clark of Saluda; and two grandchildren.
Services are at 3 Thursday at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Louis Burt, assisted by the Revs. P.L. Griffin, George Key, Clarence Kenner, Stacy Mills and Calvin Robinson. The body will be placed in the church at 2.
Pallbearers will be nephews and cousins.
Flower bearers will be nieces and cousins.
The family is at the home.

Eugene Cobb
GREENWOOD — Eugene Hampton Cobb, 91, formerly of 2316 E. 37th Street, Savannah, Ga., widower of Corene Long Cobb, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at National Health Care of Greenwood.
Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late John H. and Frances Hammond Cobb. He retired as Senior Import Specialist for the Navy, Portsmouth Authority. He was a member of Wesley Monumental Methodist Church in Savannah, GA.
Survivors include a sister, Rebecca Byrd of Chester.
Graveside services will be at 1 Tuesday, in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, Ga., conducted by the Rev. David Haygood.
Blyth Funeral Home is in charge.

Bernice Floyd
SALUDA — Bernice Marie Robinson Floyd, 77, of 123 Eugenia Drive, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at her home.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Eugenia Kenney Robinson. She was a member of Mine Creek Baptist Church, and the Mine Creek Burial Aide Society. She was retired from Knight’s Industries.
Survivors include a daughter, Bernette Jackson of Ellenwood, Ga.; two sisters, Ethel Mae Robinson and Bessie Robinson, both of Saluda; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services are at 2 Wednesday at Mine Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. George Key, assisted by the Revs. Johnny C. Gantt, William R. Thompson, and Doris Hicks. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
Flower bearers will be nieces and friends.
The family is at the home.

Jack Lowe
GREENWOOD — Jack Simpson Lowe, 65, of 110 Woodlawn Road, husband of Emma Tucker Lowe, died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Charlie and Selma Reid Lowe. He was an Army Paratrooper and was retired from Greenwood Mills, Plant No. 4 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Greenwood Mills Quarter Century Club, and was of the Holiness faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Peggy Pollard of Waterloo, Patsy Holladay and Pam Kidd, both of Greenwood; three brothers, Robert Lowe of Ninety Six, Herman Lowe and L.T. Lowe, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Sara Shirley of Hodges and Mildred Paysinger of Greenwood; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11, Wednesday, at Blyth Funeral Home conducted by the Revs. Carroll E. Harrison and William David Wells. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Lowe, Derek DuBois, Jamie Holladay, David Jones, James Lowe and Jeremy Bowie.
Honorary escorts will be Flea Market friends.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1741, Greenwood, S.C., 29648.

Annie Mobley
SALUDA — Annie Myrtle Dukes Mobley, 90, of 902 Butler Church Road, widow of Calvin Mobley, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at the Lexington Medical Center.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Nora Abney Dukes. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Women’s Home Aide Society No. 126. She was retired from GLEAMS, and a past lady attendant with Butler & Sons Funeral Home.
She is the last survivor of her immediate family.
Services will be at 11 Thursday at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nikita Canty. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Margie C. Napier
BRADLEY — Services for Margie C. Napier have been changed.
Services are at 1 Tuesday, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, conducted by Pastor Claudio Consuegra and Pastor Gehard Vanwyk. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

James Robertson
GREENWOOD — James Euley Robertson, 80, of 122 Crescent Road, husband of Velma Cogburn Robertson, died Monday, March 25, 2002 at his home.
Services are incomplete and will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home.

Gloria "Lolly" J. Zachrich
STUART, FL - Gloria "Lolly" J. Zachrich, 76, of Stuart, Florida, passed away March 23, 2002. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 1, 1925. Lolly was the daughter of Sadie (Nalon) and Clare Betten.
Lolly attended St. Mary's Academy in Prairie du Chien, WI and Mt. Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She was married 57 years and a resident of Defiance, Ohio for 55 years before moving to Clear Lake, IN and Stuart, FL.
She was a member of the Defiance Hospital Auxiliary, Wyant Art Club, Sorosis,, Grey Ladies, St. John's Lutheran Church of Defiance, Lutheran Chapel of Clear Lake, Kettenring Country Club and Miles Grant Country Club.
She is survived by her husband, James "Jimbo" M. Zachrich Sr., and children, James M. Zachrich Jr. of Greenwood, SC, Jon D. Zachrich of Bryan, OH, Martin H. Zachrich II of Clear Lake, IN and Julie Z. Monson of Indianapolis, IN, and 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister, Judith A. Bethel of Lake Geneva, WI.
Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Thursday, March 28, at 2 p.m. in Defiance, Ohio. Calling at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance, OH, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27th.
Memorials to The Bethel Church of Hobe Sound, FL, St. John's Lutheran Church, Defiance, Ohio, Hospice of Treasure Coast, and the American Cancer Society.

Emma N. Bryant
SALUDA — Emma N. Bryant, 79, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at Girard Medical Center.
Born in Saluda, she was a daughter of the late Susie and Gilbert Bryant. She attended Saluda County schools and was a member of Lockhart Baptist Church. She moved to Philadelphia in 1963, where she was a member of Garden of Prayer World Prayer Center.
Survivors include two children, James E. Bryant of Philadelphia and Annie S. Bryant Williams; two sisters, Minnie Ruth Abney of Washington , D.C., and Catherine Robley of Philadelphia.
Services are at 2 today at Lockhart Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. W.C. Bryant.
Logan Funeral Home is in charge.

Melvin Williams
JOHNSTON — Melvin Williams, 83, formerly of Johnston, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Blackville.
Born in Edgefield County, he was a son of the late Arthur and Rosa Bell Collins Williams. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and a Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include two sisters, Thelma B. Williams of Luray, Va., and Ella Mae Wright of Providence, R.I.
Services are at 1 Saturday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Lewis Burt. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are nephews.
Flower bearers are nieces and friends.
The family is at the home of Susie Mae Williams, Route 2, Box 316, Johnston.

Thomas W. Brown Sr.
PIEDMONT — Thomas Willie Brown Sr., of 33 S. Oak Hill Court, husband of Gwendolyn F. Brown, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Willie Thomas and Azalee Miller Brown. He was a supervisor at T&J Logistics.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Kenya L. Brown of Greenville; four sons, Thomas Willie Brown Jr. and Jameal R. Brown, both of the home, Steve Burton and Quincy L. Smith, both of Greenville; four sisters, Minnie Harris, Celia Starks and Minnie L. McKinney, all of Greenville and Corene Parks of Mauldin; two brothers, Joseph W. Miller of Greenwood and Victor Miller of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.
Services are at 3 today at Faith Cathedral Church, Greenville, with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, Greenville, is in charge.

Alma Childs
ABBEVILLE — Alma Gaston Childs, 93, formerly of Abbeville, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Wesley Commons in Greenwood.
Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late John Robert and Rosa Lee Botts Gaston. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and a former employee of McClellan’s 5&10 Store.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Robert Clemons.
Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 300 N. Main St., Abbeville, S.C. 29620.

Margaret Culbreath
GREENWOOD — Margaret Louise Culbreath, 90, of National Health Care of Greenwood, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Isom Edward and Martha Greene Culbreath. She retired from the Star Café after many years as a waitress and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. today in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Larry Jenkins.
Visitation is from 1:30-2:30 today at Blyth Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
