Jacqueline Cannon of Greenwood and Ricky A. Williams of Ware Shoals were married at 2 p.m. Saturday at Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church. The Rev. Raymond Adams officiated, assisted by the Revs. Ernest Cannon, the bride’s uncle, Roscoe Cannon Jr., the bride’s brother and Stella L. Dodson.
Wedding music was presented by Brian Martin of Greenwood, the Rev. Dexter Cannon of Glen Allen, Va., the bride’s brother, Michael Cannon of Bennettsville, the bride’s brother, Rico Cason of Greenwood and Valerie Martin and Veronica Mosely, both of Greenwood, vocalists.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe (Virginia) Cannon Sr. She is the granddaughter of Mary Cannon of Greenwood and the late Y.J. Cannon and Rueben Wilson of Upper Marlboro, Md., and the late Frances B. Wilson.
She is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Tech. She is a member of Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Greenwood and is employed by Tyco/Healthcare Kendall.
The bridegroom is the son of Ernest Williams of Hodges and the late Katherine A. Williams. He is the grandson of the late George and Ethel Williams and the late James and Mary Anderson.
He is a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and served eight years in the Air Force. He is a member of Forksville Baptist Church in Ware Shoals and is employed by Packaging Corporation of America.
Mary J. Johnson of Ware Shoals, the bridegroom’s cousin, was matron of honor.
Vonseco M. Latimer of Due West, the bridegroom’s cousin, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cindy Adams of Hodges, Hazel Baylor of Greenwood, Sheryl Cannon of Simpsonville, the bride’s sister-in-law, Ethel Freeman of McCormick and Louise Sanders of Greenville.
Gabriel Cannon of Greenwood, the bride’s niece, was junior bridesmaid.
Kiara S. Williams, the couple’s daughter, was miniature bride.
Brittany Cannon and Felisa Cannon, both Bennettsville, and Megan Cannon of Simpsonville, all nieces of the bride, were flower girls.
Escorted by her son, Keldrick Cannon, the bride wore a two-piece Duchess satin gown. The gown featured an embroidered, scooped neckline with contoured cap sleeves, and embroidered net overlay enhancing the entire bodice and delicate beading. The A-line skirt featured a side panel front insert of embroidered net and a matching back insert that created a chapel length train.
She wore a silver bridal headband accented with ivory roses attached to a double-tiered veil of illusion.
She carried a cascading ivory bouquet of lilies, rosebuds and roses accented with baby’s breath, pearls and ivy.
The matron of honor wore a two piece, lilac gown featuring a straight skirt and short sleeve top. The skirt was accented with a side split and the top featured silver embroidery around the scoop neckline.
The maid of honor wore a two piece, lilac gown featuring a straight skirt and sleeveless top. The top was accented with a boat neckline, tank straps and enhanced by clear beading around the neckline and on the straps.
Attendants wore two piece gowns of lilac featuring straight skirts and sleeveless tops. The tops featured loose turtlenecks and a drop waist, silver embroidery, pearls, and clear beading lined the band of the waist.
The junior bridesmaid wore a lilac sleeveless gown featuring a scooped neckline and an empire bodice of satin. The A-line skirt of Georgette crepe was floor length.
Attendants carried bouquets of ivory calla lilies accented with sheer lavender ribbon.
The miniature bride wore a ivory, sleeveless gown featuring a V-back and satin bodice with crystal and pearl accents. The full tulle skirt was accented with net overlay.
She wore a crystal and pearl tiara attached to a double-tiered veil of illusion.
She carried a miniature version of the bride’s bouquet.
Flower girls wore short sleeved, empire waist, tea length dresses. The bodices were dark velvet aubergine. The skirts were light aubergine organza accented with ribbon leaves and roses around the waists.
They carried ivory rosebud symmetrical balls accented with ribbons.
Tony Smith of Honea Path was best man.
Groomsmen were Jay Beeks of Honea Path, Charles Belcher of Ware Shoals, the bridegroom’s nephew, Keldrick Cannon of Sumter, the couple’s son, Perry Gray of Anderson, Kevin Johnson of Ware Shoals, and Kenneth Williams of Greenwood, the couple’s son.
Mychal Cannon of Greenwood, the bride’s nephew, was junior groomsman.
Jaquentin Rice of Ware Shoals was miniature groom.
Acolytes were Devin Cannon, the bride’s nephew and Charles Ashley, both of Greenwood.
Malique Ryans of Greenwood was ring bearer.
The couple were hosts of a reception at Emerald High School.
After a surprise wedding trip, the couple will live in Greenwood.

NINETY SIX — Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Washington of Greenwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Teresa Joi’ Washington, to Demarco Antonio Gray.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Ninety Six High School and attended Piedmont Tech.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Wilbert and Marjorie Gray of Hodges. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by Electrolux of Anderson.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. March 15, 2003 at Mays United Methodist Church.
Family and friends are invited.

HICKORY, N.C. — Karen and Gary Alex of Greenwood, S.C., announce the engagement of their son, Christopher Gerard Alex of Hickory, to Vikki May Dunkleberger of Hickory.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mary Engle and James Dunkleberger of Montoursville, Pa., and Williamsport, Pa. She is a 1998 graduate of Penn College and is a full time certified physician’s assistant at Family Care Center in Taylorsville, N.C.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Lander University. He is a sales manager at Benchmade Leather in Hickory.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. June 14, 2003 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hickory.

Alice S. Keadle announces the engagement of her daughter Rhonda Renee Adams of Greenwood to James Hobson Glasby Jr. of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Rondy Adams. She is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College. She is employed by Self Regional Hospital.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of the late James Hobson Glasby Sr. and the late Barbara Sage Cameron. He is a graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School and is employed by EMS of Greenwood.
The wedding is planned for 11 a.m. March 29, 2003 at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.

HODGES — Angela Ewers-Young of Greenwood and Jonathan Lee Pratt of Ninety Six were married Saturday at Cokesbury College. Judge Bart S. McGuire of Ninety Six officiated.
Wedding music was presented by Marc Vickers of Wake Forest, N.C.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thompson of Gaffney and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ewers of Attica, Mich. She is a 1988 graduate of Ninety Six High School and a 1993 graduate of Lander University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in science. She is employed by Carolina Air Heating and Cooling.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Pratt of Ninety Six and the grandson of Helen B. Belue of Ninety Six. He is a 1988 graduate of Ninety Six High School and a 1993 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he received a bachelor’s degree in science. He is employed by the Greenwood City Police Department.
Helen Posey of Columbia was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lesley Cannon of Taylors, the bride’s sister, Erica Morris of Dallas, Texas and Karen Scruggs of McCormick.
Junior bridesmaid was Amber Young of Greenwood, the bride’s daughter.
Flower girl was Ashlyn Young of Greenwood, daughter of the bride.
The bride wore a white, sleeveless gown featuring a square neckline and beaded Alencon lace. The A-line skirt cascaded to a chapel length train, accented with more Alencon lace at the hem and a waterfall accent bow.
She wore a triple-beaded pearl tiara attached to a waist length veil of tulle featuring a rolled hem.
Ronald F. Pratt of Ninety Six, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man.
Groomsmen were Christopher Pratt of Gaithersburg, Md., the bridegroom’s brother, Andrew Pratt of Buford, Ga., the bridegroom’s brother, Michael Lake of St. Mary’s, Ga., and Charles Myers of Greenwood.
Jake Pratt of Buford, the bridegroom’s nephew, was ringbearer.
The bride and groom were hosts of a reception.
After a trip to the Eastern Caribbean, the couple will live in Greenwood.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Amon Wilson and Pam Wilson, both of Abbeville. He is a 1994 graduate of Abbeville High School. He is employed by the City of Greenwood Fire Department.
The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. May 10, 2003 at New Hope Presbyterian Church.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 6, 2003 at Ocean Isle.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Noe Bravo of Loja and Ida Fehrs deBravo of Loja. She is a 1996 graduate of Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where she received a bachelor’s degree. She is a journalist.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James Thomas Rogers of Bradenton. He is the grandson of Louise Klugh Rankin of Anderson and Miriam Lee Rogers of Greenwood. He is a 1995 graduate of Rollins College, where he received a bachelor of arts degree, a 1996 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received a bachelor of science degree, and a 1998 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received a master’s degree.
Maria Fernanda Perry of Quito, Ecuador was matron of honor.
Beatriz del Carmen Bravo of the Republic of Panama was flower girl.
The bride wore a veil made of lace purchased by the bridegroom’s great grandmother, Hattie Klugh and was also worn by the bridegroom’s aunts, Patsy Rankin Jopling and Genie Klugh Sherard.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
The couple lives in London.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Mattison of Spartanburg. She is a graduate of Dorman High School and Clemson University, where she received a bachelor’s degree. She is a fourth grade teacher at Rock Hill School District Three.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Lagroon of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Snyder of Mount Pleasant. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Clemson University, where he received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. He is employed by Duke Power of Charlotte.
Carrie W. Eversole of Rock Hill was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Casey Corn, Kelli Jacobs and Austin Moorhead of Spartanburg, Gretchen Hansell of Columbia, Lisa Ventimiglio of Rock Hill, Amanda Snyder of Greenwood and Brandy Snyder of Atlanta.
Honorary bridesmaids were Claire Thornton of Knoxville, Tenn., and Rebekah Mattison of Spartanburg.
Chaney Turner of Spartanburg was flower girl.
The bride wore a white empire waist satin gown featuring a beaded bodice and a detachable train with jewel detailing.
She carried a bouquet of gerbera daisies.
Nicholas Snyder of Greenwood was best man.
Groomsmen were John Collum of Columbia, David Mattison of Spartanburg, Matt Collum and Timothy Long, both of Charlotte, Glen Rice of Clemson, Chris White of Seneca, Bryan Gamble of Charleston and Derek Austin of Knoxville.
Honorary groomsman was Jay Edwards of Mauldin.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception in Spartanburg.
After a cruise to the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Charlotte.
