Lawrence Goche

Lawrence M. Goche age 93 of rural Seaforth passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at his home while surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth.

Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a 6:00 p.m. parish prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment is in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lawrence Martin Goche was born on July 22, 1917 on a farm by Seaforth, Minnesota to Martin and Louise (Wartner) Goche. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth. He grew up doing chores and helping with the farming. He attended school through the 8th grade, having to walk to Seaforth and cross the creek every day. He later attended Morris Agriculture School. On October 8, 1946, Lawrence was united in marriage to Bernadette Dieken in the Catholic church in Green Valley. They farmed in Sheridan Township for many years. Lawrence loved growing crops and raising livestock. He was a trustee in St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years.

Lawrence is survived by four children: Geraldine (James) DePriest of Killeen, TX, Martin of Seaforth, David of Seaforth, Pauline (Mark) Schilling of Clear Lake, SD; five grandchildren: Ryan (Michelle), Sheila, Gary, Lisa (fiancé Joseph Ferguson), and Jared Schilling; and great-grandchildren: Christopher, Jasmine, and Alexis; one sister, Eleanora Kuelbs of Shakopee, MN; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Louise Goche, wife Bernadette, brothers: Walter and Dennis, and sisters: Thelma Atkins and Sylvia Menke.

Rodney Hildebrandt

Rodney H. Hildebrandt age 75 of Redwood Falls passed away on Friday, August 27, 2010 at his home after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 31 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday AT THE CHURCH and will continue one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Interment is in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Rodney H. Hildebrandt was born October 2, 1934 in Appleton, Minnesota to Art and Evelyn (Hanson) Hildebrandt. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Alcox on January 31, 1953 in Olivia, Minnesota. Together the couple lived and worked in the Olivia area for 11 years before moving to the Redwood Falls area in 1963. Rodney worked for Central Bi-Products for 31 years driving truck, and later as transportation coordinator until he retired in 1998. He liked traveling, wintering in Yuma, Arizona, fishing, taking leisurely rides on his Gator, mowing his lawn, and going to his grandchildren’s ball games. Rodney thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rodney is survived by his wife Mary Lou of 57 years; 7 children: Rodney “Butch”, Doug (Paulette), Jim (Barb), Dan (Deb) Hildebrandt, Mary (Gene) Luckhardt all of Redwood Falls, Deb (Greg) Price of Wabasso, and Dawn (Rick) Jansen of Renville; 17 grandchildren: Shannon (Seth) Allen, Stephanie, Kristi (fiancé Jeremy), (Lisa) Hildebrandt, Ryan, Eric (Kristi), Kari Hildebrandt, Jeremy (Renee) Hildebrandt, Amy (Shawn) Stelzer, Sarah, Chad (Sarah) Luckhardt, Mitchell (fiancé Katie) Price, Bethany (Matt) Plaetz, and Mistin Price, Brian (Ashley), Mark (fiancé Jenny), Brent, and Amber Jansen; 14 great-grandchildren: Jessica, Jacob, Eva, Jaylin, Blake, Morgan, Seth, Alexis, Madilynn, Aidan, RyAnne, Kaydence, Jasen, and Jaxon; father Art Hildebrandt; sister Audrey Serbus both of Arlington; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by granddaughter Samantha Price, grandson Jeff Hildebrandt, mother Evelyn Hildebrandt, brother Donald Hildebrandt, and his beloved dog Lassie.

Gladys Morley

Gladys Morley age 78 of Redwood Falls passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls.

Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment is in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gladys Morley was born on October 21, 1931 in Wabasso, Minnesota to John and Rose (Fernholz) Hagert. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Gladys’ family moved to Clements in 1942 where she attended District 86 Country School. Later the family moved back to Wabasso where she attended St. Anne’s from 7th grade to her graduation in 1950. Gladys was united in marriage to Walter Morley on August 4, 1956 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. She worked at Northwestern Bell in Redwood Falls for 15 years and then at the DAC until her retirement. Gladys was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries, St. Catherine’s CCW, and helped with the country store and raffle at St. Catherine’s Fall Festival. She helped her husband Walt coordinate and run the Fairshare food distribution center for many years. Gladys enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning, baking, making Christmas candies, and crocheting. She loved getting together with her Birthday Club and prayer group. She especially enjoyed old time music, traveling, dancing, going out to eat, and visiting with family and friends.

Gladys is survived by her son Tom and wife Gale; daughter Cheryl and husband Harry Davis; grandson Matthew Morley; and granddaughter Callie Davis all of Redwood Falls; her dog Teisha; brothers and sisters: Kathleen Senger of Redwood Falls, Elmer Hagert of Forest Lake, LaVerne (Verna) Hagert of Sauk Rapids, Phyllis Mangan of LeCenter, John Hagert Jr. (Judy) of Lindstrom, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter and brother Louis Hagert.

Jason Michael Petty

Jason Michael Petty, age 39 of Seaforth died Friday, July 30, 2010 en route to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14 at the Redwood Area School Performing Arts Center.

Visitation will begin Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Performing Arts Center and continue until time of services. A fund has been set up for the family: Jason Petty Memorial at United Southwest Bank, 176 South Broadway, Vesta, MN 56292. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jason was born February 20, 1971 in New Ulm, MN to Michael and Nancy (Wenger) Petty. He grew up in Wabasso , MN after which he married his high school sweetheart Jane (Rohlik) of Vesta. They were married for 18 years. Jason then worked for Coca Cola Company, Schwan’s of Marshall and Schmidt Construction of Redwood Falls. He was currently employed at S.M. Hentges and Sons Inc. of Jordan, MN. Jason was a member of the Local 49 International Union of Operating Engineers for over 10 years where he was a boom crane operator and transporter of heavy equipment. To those on the job, Jason was known as a very dedicated and careful worker.

Jason took great pleasure in taking trips with his family, camping, boating and snowmobiling out west with friends. You could find him taking his family, along with nieces and nephews, to the lake for some fun. He was known to family by the name of Brutus for his teddy bear size. He was a man who looked forward to grilling and enjoyed a good steak. His friends considered him a devoted and outgoing person. He was a man who loved his dear wife and sons a great deal. Jason will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Jane and sons Collin and Andy; mother Nancy (Larry) Massmann; father Michael (Karen) Petty; and brother Bryan. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents and Father-in-law.

Audrey V. Spicer

Audrey V. Spicer age 81 of Redwood Falls formerly of Minneapolis and Grand Forks passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at her home. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Audrey Spicer was born July 14, 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harold and Louise Sheldon. She was united in marriage to W. K. “Bud” Spicer on May 31, 1947 in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Audrey is survived by children: Douglas (Carol) Spicer of Fairfield, IA, Penny (David) Fuhr of rural Seaforth, MN, Debby Spicer of Tower, MN, Scott (Pat) Spicer of Marshalltown, IA, and Tony (Mary Lyn) Spicer of LasVegas, NV; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and half-sister Bonnie Mickole of Andover, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband W. K. “Bud” Spicer, and son Gregory Spicer.

Glennis S. Woodruff

Glennis S. Woodruff age 91 of Belview passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Parkview Home in Belview. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25th at Opdal Church near Sacred Heart. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Interment is in the church cemetery. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Allen Scott Cooper

Allen Scott Cooper, age 61 of Minnetonka, formerly of Tracy, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park due to complications of diabetes. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Tracy City Cemetery. The Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Allen Scott Cooper was born February 15, 1949 in Tracy, Minnesota to Harold and Joyce (Lindstrom) Cooper. He graduated from Tracy High School in 1967 and from St. Cloud State University in 1971 with a major in elementary education. Allen worked for the Orono School District for several years. He later worked at Northwest Studios for many years as office manager. Allen will be remembered as a very kind, unselfish and generous man.

Allen is survived by his parents Harold and Joyce Cooper of Tracy; brothers and sisters: Kerry (Nannette) Cooper of Cannon Beach, OR, Brett Cooper of rural Walnut Grove, and Nancy (Ron) Gausman of Morris; nieces and nephews: Dana Mottl and Michael (Jenna) Feehan, Todd and Drew Cooper, Tyson Cooper, Derek (Kolby) Gausman, Kayla (Steven) Blair, and Alec Gausman; his companion of 28 years Michael Dieter of Minnetonka; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Bruce, grandparents, aunt Ruby and uncle Henry.

Lois G. Elliott

Lois G. Elliott age 86 of Tracy passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Birchwood Hospice in Hutchinson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15th at the Presbyterian Church in Tracy. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Area Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment is in the Tracy Cemetery. Lois G. Elliott was born August 15, 1921 in Milroy, Minnesota to Earl and Ethel Mitcheltree. She was raised in the Milroy and Tracy area and graduated from Tracy High School in 1939. Lois married Leonard Elliott on April 9, 1945. They lived in Minneota and Tracy until moving to the farm near Balaton where they farmed for 25 years. They then moved to Tracy where she was still residing until recently when she was in Hospice at her daughter’s home and then moved to Birchwood Hospice House in Hutchinson where she passed away. Lois was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Tracy for many years. She loved crocheting, sewing, gardening, quilting, spending time with her 6 great-grandchildren, 4 grandchildren and most of all having the coffee pot on when her friends and family stopped by.

Lois is survived by her 2 children, Bob (Jean) Elliott of Hutchinson and Bettie (Greg DeWitte) Palmer of Hutchinson; 4 grandchildren: Jennie (Jason) Stutsman of Winsted, Natasha (Ernst) Freyer of Burnsville, Jess (Nikki) Elliott of Savage, Nikki (Todd) Matheson of Winsted; 6 great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Kyleigh, Emma, Porter, Jack, Sam; and numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard in 1979; infant daughter Darlene; her parents; and her brother Ausby Mitcheltree. She will be forever in our hearts as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Bonnie King

Bonnie Elaine (Studemann) King age 50 of St. Peter, formerly of Tyler, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester as a result of complications of surgery.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8 at First English Lutheran Church in Tyler.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Russell Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. The Tyler Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bonnie Elaine King was born February 2, 1960 in Marshall, Minnesota to Orville and Beverly (Buchert) Studemann. Bonnie loved being a mother and grandmother. Family was very important to her. Her cats held a special place in her heart. Bonnie enjoyed pictures, crocheting, and collecting Precious Moments.

Bonnie is survived by children: Casey (Beth), Melissa (Andy), Shawn (Sarah), and Alicia, all of St. Peter; grandchildren: Cameron King, Zues King, Crystal King, Christian Ballman, Brigit Ballman, CeeJay King, and Jayden King; father Orville (Lois) Studemann of Tyler, brothers: Randy (Virginia), Keith (Cindy), Cory (Jennifer); sister Debra (Richard) Johnson; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special people Ricky King and Dennis King. She is preceded in death by her mother Beverly Studemann, and grandparents Clifford and Ruth Buchert and George and Augusta Studemann.

Glenn Shaw

Glenn R. Shaw age 101 of Walnut Grove passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 6 at the Walnut Grove Methodist Church with Chaplain Kenneth A. Haack officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Walnut Grove Public School or Walnut Grove Methodist Church. The Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Glenn Russell Shaw was born June 4, 1909 in Hitchcock, South Dakota to David and Anna Shaw. He was baptized and confirmed in the Hitchcock Presbyterian Church. Glenn graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1927, graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1932, and received his Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in 1946. He was united in marriage to Marguerite Morris on July 20, 1933 in Hot Springs, SD. Glenn was a teacher and school administrator for 42 years, beginning his teaching career in Canova, SD. He then taught in Hitchcock and Miller, SD. Glenn was a Superintendent of schools for 33 years in the following schools: Iroquois, SD; Boyd, SD; Ellendale, MN; and Walnut Grove; retiring in 1974. He served as a school administrator at Red Bird Mission and Henderson Settlement following his retirement. Glenn was active in church affairs. He served as President of the Walnut Grove Community Club and was the first president of the Walnut Grove Development Corporation. Glenn was a member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a Lay Pastor for over 35 years. He also served as Secretary of the Minnesota Conference Aid Fund for Minnesota Students, and was a member of several Conference Committees. He was a Charter Member of the Walnut Grove Lions Club, and received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award from the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Glenn enjoyed music, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family.

Glenn is survived by one daughter Mrs. Richard (Macel) Ovick of Minneapolis; a sister Mrs. Jeanette Tabor of Rapid City, SD; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Marguerite, daughter Kay McDonald, son Glenn (Morrie) Shaw, sister Beryl Haag, and two grandchildren Sandra Human and Rodney Cromwell.

Ernest Cohrs

Ernest Cohrs, age 82 of Dovray passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Westbrook Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Dovray. Memorials are preferred to a hospice of the donor’s choice or the American Cancer Society. The Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ernest was born May 30, 1928 in Dovray Township, Minnesota to Ernest Edward and Anna Katherina (Prigge) Cohrs. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Ernest attended country school. He was united in marriage to Donna Lekander on July 20, 1945. In his early years Ernie was an active community member. He was a loyal member of the Dovray Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards, vacationing, lazy days at the lake and spending time with family and friends. On January 11, 1992 Ernest was united in marriage to Florence Miesen. Ernest was a loving father and husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, farmer, and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Ernest is survived by his wife Florence Miesen; children: Michael (Coralyn) of Park Rapids, MN; Mark (Charlene) of Park Rapids, MN; Darla (Thomas) Work of Chaska; Kay (Mark) McDonough of Comstock WI; and Jennifer (Bart) Winkler of Lakeville, MN; 14 beautiful grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Miesen family members: Mary Kay Miesen of Hawaii, Marsha (Charles) Casey of Cannon Falls, MN, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Donna.

John “Jack” LeRoy Haney

John “Jack” LeRoy Haney age 67 of the Avoca area passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at Avera McKennon Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Westbrook Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment is in the Westbrook Cemetery. The Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

John Haney was born January 13, 1943 in Tracy, MN to John and Violet (Koser) Haney. He was baptized at the Church of Christ in Worthington. John attended school in Tracy until his freshman year. He then attended school in Kensington, MN where he graduated in 1961. After his schooling, John served in the US Army. He lived in Kensington, Moorhead, Tracy, and Marshall before moving to the Avoca area. John farmed for a short period of time, and later helped friends with their farms. He worked for several trucking companies in the area, and enjoyed travelling across the country. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years. John also enjoyed cooking, gardening and freezing his produce from the garden.

John is survived by his sister Pauline Mann of Wisconsin; nieces and nephews: Angela Sims of Oregon, Michelle Krohn of South Dakota, Melissa Pelloquin of Wisconsin, Steve Mann of Kentucky & Paul Mann of Wisconsin; good friends Bob and Butch Olson both of Avoca, and many other friends. He is preceded in death by his son John Haney III, father John Haney, mother Violet Brewer and sister Morene Guimond.

Cheryl Rae Pabst

Cheryl Rae Pabst age 63 of Sanborn, formerly of Storden, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sanborn.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday AT THE CHURCH, and will continue one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment is in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. The Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cheryl was born November 3, 1946 to Lars and Dessie (Earp) Egenes. She was baptized and confirmed at Amo Lutheran Church in rural Storden. She attended Storden High School, graduating in 1964. She worked as a telephone operator from 1964 – 1966. Cheryl was united in marriage to Brian Pabst on June 17th 1965 at Amo Lutheran Church. To this union, three children were born: Troy, Kim and David “Crockett”.

Cherie enjoyed doing many things including going fishing (out-fishing her husband Brian) at their cabin up north and listening to the loons while enjoying each other’s company. She also enjoyed spoiling her children and grandchildren, working in her flower beds, gardening, needlework, and doing the crossword puzzle every morning with her husband. Cherie will always be remembered for lending a helping hand to anyone in need. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Brian of 45 years; children: Troy Pabst (fiancé Pam) of Sanborn, Kimberly Fox (special friend Jeff) of Sanborn and David (Lynn) Pabst of Springfield; 10 grandchildren: Lacy, Shala, Brandon, Brady, Jesse, Krystal, Reed, Avoree, Brenna, & Marissa; two great grandchildren: Cassidy & Layne; siblings: Harriet Moller of Jeffers, Stanley (Ruth) Egenes of Slayton, David (Rozzie) Egenes of Lamberton, and Linda Pauling of Virginia, MN; mother & father in law Albert & Esther Pabst of Sanborn; brothers and sisters in law: Miles (Sharon) Pabst of Norman, OK, Ralph (Karen) Pabst of Sanborn, Roxanna (Ed) Cohrs of Sanborn and Pauline (Shawn) Wohnoutka of Morgan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special cousin Shirley Schoenenberger. She is preceded in death by her father Lars Egenes in 1981, mother Dessie in 2008, brothers Frank and Leroy, sister Pat, and brothers in law Darrel Banse and Alvin Moller.

Kathleen (Kathy) McCallum

Kathleen (Kathy) Mary McCallum, age 63 of Redwood Falls passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, January 31 at her home.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Arrangements are with the Redwood Valley Funeral Home.

Kathy (Webb) McCallum was born March 23, 1945 in Buffalo, NY to Thomas and Eleanor (Mulcahy) Webb. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. On October 17, 1970, Kathy was united in marriage to Don McCallum. Kathleen enjoyed traveling, spending time with her friends and family, playing Bingo, cooking and learning new recipes. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend to many. She had the biggest heart and the most selfless kind spirit. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by her husband Don McCallum of 38 years; her daughter Heather; her brother Steven Webb and his family of Hamburg, NY; her dear cats Smokey, Sasha, and Buffy; and many nieces; nephews; and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Eleanor (Mulcahy) Webb and her brother “Butch” Webb.

David D. Norgaard

David D. Norgaard 54 of Tyler died Monday, January 19, 2009 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7p.m. with a 6:30p.m. prayer service at the Tyler Area Funeral Home. Tyler Area Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be held at a later date.

David Norgaard was born July 19, 1954 in Tyler, Minnesota to Wayne and Carol (Christensen) Norgaard.

He was baptized and confirmed at Danebod Lutheran Church and graduated from Tyler Public School. Following graduation he attended Vo-Tech School for 2 years. David was united in marriage to Renata TenCate on December 4, 1974 in Brookings, SD. They settled in Tyler, where they farmed. David was involved in a variety of endeavors through the years, and his interests were varied. He loved farming and had a passion for everything he did. David established Southwest Wind Consulting, LLC, developing wind turbines in SW Minnesota. He served as county commissioner in Lincoln County for 8 years, and loved politics. David was a member of the Tyler Lions Club, where he participated in many of their annual plays, his love for acting began at the Tyler High School where He participated in several high school musical productions and high school speech. He was a member of the JayCees, ABATE, and Roaring Lions Mortorcycle Club. He especially enjoyed riding motorcycles (Harleys’s), and attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally faithfully for 28 years. He had his private pilots license and enjoyed flying his airplanes. At the time of his death, he was in the process of building his own airplane, with the help of friends. In his early years, he loved trapping. David loved to work, and played as hard as he worked. He loved his family and loved being with his friends as they were family too.

He is survived by his wife Renata of 34 years; daughter Jeanine of Tyler; grandchildren Desmond Ankrum and Ashley Norgaard; Grandmother Iva Christensen; sisters Deb (Wally) Paschke, Patty (Scott) Gilliland, and Sue (Lynn) Neilsen; as well as numerous relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and three grandparents.

Bruce M. Drouillard

Bruce M. Drouillard age 74 of Franklin, formerly of Faribault, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Franklin. No public services will be held at this time due to Bruce’s wishes.

The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Malinda Siegfried

Malinda L. Siegfried, age 90 of Belview, formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Redwood Area Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 7 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. At the request of Malinda, in lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran School Building Fund or the organization of the donor’s choice. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Malinda Siegfried was born March 29, 1920 in Leavenworth Township to Fred and Laura (Schiller) Prahl. She was baptized April 25, 1920 and confirmed April 9, 1933 by Pastor William Albrecht at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. Malinda was united in marriage to Harold Siegfried on July 31, 1938 by Pastor E. Birkholz at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. She held offices with Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society and Ladies Aid, and was a member of the OWLS. Malinda volunteered to help at St. John’s Lutheran School and church office. She also worked at the grocery store, Montgomery Wards Store and the Redwood Area Hospital for many years. Malinda enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching game shows, loved baking and cooking and sharing those gifts with her family and friends. She was a loving and Christian mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Malinda devoted her life to God, her church, and her family.

Malinda is survived by her children: Gary Harold (Gloria) Siegfried and Dianne Kay Donner; grandchildren: Todd (Christine) Siegfried, Tamie (Roger) Galles, Tim (Pam) Siegfried, Bob Donner, Daniel Donner and Chad (Leah) Donner; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and brother James (Joyce) Prahl. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, son-in-law Gary Donner, infant brother Robert, and brother and sister-in-law Virgil and Sylvia Prahl.
